Thanks for your kind words mate, it's definitely a lot more work than most think. Good fun though. Bigger budget would be great but some more time to do this would be even better! Plenty more to come 👍
Thanks mate, it's a great solution for the price and is sold/made by one guy who saw the need and decided to sort something out - I like supporting those kinds of products where I can.
Hi yah,new subscriber....I own a FG Falcon and was hoping to see more garage hacks on FG. Hopefully you do in the future...I've only just started working on my baby.
Thanks, no plans to be touching a FG again any time soon. Some of what we do on the BA is transferable or you could try having a look over on FGmods. Good luck and enjoy 👍
Have you ever replaced the BA tail shaft centre bearing? I've been told that when you change that bearing that is between the two tail shafts that the tail shafts need to be rebalanced?
I haven't yet. From what I read there are a few differences in tail shafts in these and some may not even really be serviceable at home to change the bearing. Something to do with the center uni joints being held in by either snap rings (serviceable) or press/interference fit I think (perhaps non serviceable?). If it is one that can be changed at home you should be able to get away without a balance if everything is marked and goes back in the correct orientation/position to each other again I believe. Again I haven't done it myself but if I was to do it I'd be comfortable enough to give it a go without balancing.
No stupid questions mate 👍. The controller is the same as the BA/BF kit and the power connectors from the cigarette lighter would work but the plugs for AUX input are completely different. Only real difference in the end anyway is where you connect the wiring, the kits function the same otherwise and leave enough to mount the receiver largely anywhere.
Thanks mate. Sorry to hear you had no luck with the old one, I've been really happy with the ones I've used from Matt so worth a shot! Cheers for watching.
Hard to say, from memory it would depend on why the AUX wasn't working. If it's an issue with the very end of the AUX plug that you can see in the trim then you should be fine, but if the problem is further down the wire or most anything other than the very end AUX plug this would likely not work either, as it uses the same wiring.
Hi mate. Thanks for the great videos. We contacted Matt’s Audio about a kit for our FG XR6 and he’s said he is sold out and doesn’t know when he’ll be doing them again. Do you know of anyone else offering a similar kit ? Thanks mate 👍
I don't recall any other solution quite as simple as Matt's unfortunately, but perhaps one of Zac Baldy's videos (ruclips.net/video/B1TCA3h3L4s/видео.html) and the comments on this will point you in the direction of a solution. Hope this can somewhat help and good luck 👍
Hey I have ordered a kit for my FG G6E 2009. Matt has told me it will be posted tonight. I was quite tempted to do it myself but read Matt has upgraded shielded wiring etc . For $90 inc postage is ok for what he has created, researched and tested. If yours is different then you should be able to buy the bluetooth unit and do your own wiring. I would give Matt another call as I can't see yours being any different.
In an FG? I've had a slight buzz in a BA before but the car just had a buzz through the radio as well under certain situations, known interference issue with the factory ICC in them and seems to be just luck of the draw how bad it is. If FG though I haven't heard of it before, maybe message Matt?
Browney's Garage it’s pretty bad when Im playing music or even just trying to connect my phone. I’ll give Matt a message and see what he says. Yeah I’n a fg G6E
@@BrowneysGarage the buzzing noise happens in the ba/bf models from what I have researched due to the wires connecting the ICC have been pulled out in the wrong order.
@@BrowneysGarage they are indeed. Because I'm still currently driving a BA/BF class. Was driving an FG a while ago. So everyone looked at my place loaded with the Blue Oval family and they asked me wow you got a whole family lined up and I was like yup. Lovely cars indeed. I've grown up in family having the XD Falcon GL and I ended up having an EL then EF. Then having BA 03 XR6 then BF XR6 and back with another BA but ute XL and then have an FG. Loving these cars. But still working on my current BF XR6 just fixing up minor problems and then working to get a bit of modz later on. But I also like watching your videos. All in detail with everything. Keep it up bro =D
Remember to like and subscribe or I'll steal your car too... and do work on it for you just like this one?! 🤷♂️
Thanks for watching everyone.
I'll email you my address and you can steal mine!!! I will leave a list taped to the steering wheel of what I'd like done.
Perfect, I need something to practice spray painting on shortly. Hope you like hot pink!
@@BrowneysGarage that'll go perfect with the leopard skin hub caps!
Can it work 2009 g6e if yes than where do I order
@@nileshnarayan801 Hey mate, send Matt a message over on his Facebook page and he'll be happy to help you out - facebook.com/fordaudio
Browney. Received the Bluetooth Audio Kit today. Just finished installing it. It is excellent. Thanks again mate.
That’s awesome John, you didn’t muck around getting it in! Glad you like it, enjoy mate 👍
Keep up the good work lad, Clearly alot of effort went into this video I wanna see you with a bigger budget.

Installed kit in an FG Falcon yesterday easy to install and works great.
@Paul Bailey Awesome, hope you enjoy it mate 👍
That is a great kit, very cost effective and simple to install. Thanks for the video.

Haha good mates with Matt I've been running hos bluetooth kit in the bf xr8 for ages now still going strong.
Awesome! I've fitted a couple now and they're damn hard to beat all considered, and his been great to deal with. Cheers for watching mate.
Yeah Matt's a good bloke and you have good content I enjoy watching.. i think I was the first to get one of his setups. They are really a no brainer.

are these still being sold for mk1 FGs?
Where can I get one for my FG XR6 in New Zealand please Ty
Great video mate! very clear information. Got yourself a sub
@Robert Archbold Legend, thanks Robert!
Stupid question time. Will the FG kit fit BA/F Falcon? I have watched the BA/F install and can't remember how similar the kits are.

I been using a blue tooth thing from big w and its horrible I had to take it back :( rip keep up the great vids I'll have to get one of these for sure

Great cars and feel like a good step ahead of the earlier BA/BF's, at least from what I've experienced.
