Just a FYI to switching the AC for full power, it's not required to switch off as the FG is quite intuitive and will switch itself off when using over a certain percent of throttle, something like over 50% it will disengage the AC clutch for a reduced/optimised engine load
Last year I got a 2013 G6E EcoLPI. Produces 198 kw, full leather interior, great economy, only had 86k on the clock. Runs like a dream and plenty of power for me.
The saddest day of my life was the day I had to say good bye to my beautiful 2008 FG XR6 with the 5 speed Auto. I owned that car 12 years and never spent a penny on it apart from regular servicing. That thing use to fly along down the highway and had great economy of around 8.5Lt/100 Kms. The only reason I sold it was I needed something bigger to carry all the gear I need. I'm now saving every penny to buy another one.
I bought an XR6 FG MkII a month or two ago for $6k. It had 282,XXX km when I purchased it (there are some tell tale signs it was used in rural areas) and at that price point I did have to sort out a few things and the body of the car isn’t A-grade (a few stone chips, scratches, etc.), but so far it has served me well. It’s my first car as well and I am very happy with it
They are excellent and remarkably bullet proof, 2008-2009 fgs had a faulty gearbox, but how ever 2010-16 don't 6 speed auto shifts fast and comfortably while being reliable engine I've heard mountains of abuse at them and nothing broke on them, tough as nails, had a base 2010 fg Ute on my red ps, it was tough, currently got a 2013 mk2 xr6 good car so far I drive it hard and no issues 4000kms mind you I been driving it semi hard too
I drive a 2009 fg with 5 speed sure it's a bit clunky like not the most comfortable transmission sometimes but it's still going strong all these years later!
Thanks Jon for listening ...That's nearly what I've got . Mine is also totally standard but only has 74,000 kms on her and has the ZF 6 speed that is a joy in sports shift mode ..On a long run over 400 kms I got 8.1 L per 100 kms on a general drive without especially trying but didn't encounter long idles at roadworks that day either or much city stuff ..I know you'd see 0-100 in the high sixes with the auto but 7.5 in the manual is damn impressive . That surprised me but the Tremec 6 Manual is a great box ...The standard XR6 has a slightly stiffer roll rate suspension to the base Falcon too. Not a lot different but they do ride fractionally different I'm told . I hope one day you can try an FG with the ZF ...Thanks again .
thanks mate glad you enjoyed the review :) yes gotta love a ZF but like you said this manual is bloody fantastic and was impressed with its go off the mark :) more to come m8 cheers for being a fan
@@RossReviewsau Yep Jon .. Never been in a FG with a manual ..My first half dozen cars I ever owned were all manuals so I get it with driving a stick ..Got to say I'd love the Tremec manual in my XR6 but the ZF is the first sports shift auto I've had that I switch to that mode often because it's literally so much fun to use ..Everybody seems to reckon the N/A 195 and the LPG 198 non turbo via a well tuned ZF runs off the mark just that much quicker again but a sweet 6 speed manual would be incredibly satisfying . Would be interesting to find out how many FG XR6's got the Tremec ...Pretty exclusive few I'd say ..This review one is a beauty ..... I agree with a few other comments for suggesting for a review , especially for the turbo fans. That would be the 2.0 Turbo Falcon from the Series 2 FG ...Not too many sold but many say they were a pretty decent drive too with 179 KW which was a big jump from the SOHC Sixes .. ford made three versions of the fg barra engine, the gray top (one in the vid) is the base engine, you could also get the green top which had stronger crank and something else, then the red top which was the turbo, most people like to go with the green top since you can safely push 20psi of boost through no problem, and don’t have to buy new internals. great vid keep it up 👍
I have a green one of this FG (2008-9) that is automatic, but has a sequential gear box (so you can drive in auto or put it in manual to play with the gears) and it is an absolute treat to drive. I love it, especially the "Kermit Green" colour - it's just unfortunate I have to sell/trade it for a 4WD with what I want to do - car only has 209 600 on the clock.. wish I could keep it... 😔
Hi, luv your reviews, I own a 2007 Ford Fairmont Ghia, 4.0 , just ticked over 59 thousand ks, bought it with 52 thousand on the clock 2 years ago, An old guy had traded it to buy a four wheel drive, It's metallic Blue with Cream leather, Excellent condition, except the wheels have been curbed ( which will get fixed next year) this is the 4th Fairmont Ghia I have owned, the last one being the 5.4 V8 , which I loved, but sold in New Zealand before moving to the Gold Coast, what I like about the Ghia is you get XR6 suspension, great engine, beautiful interior, Excellent sound system, Lovely cars, In my 5 years living on the Gold Coast, I have only ever seen 1 other Ghia as mine and that was Charcoal Grey, they are extremely rear now , Love to see a review of the last Ford Fairmont Ghia, ( You may have already done it ? ) Cheers Pete

Great review as always Jono! The good thing about these, they are a very capable car and if its not quick enough for you, a turbo conversion ain't hard! Cheers for sharing mate...
I’ve recently brought a nice looking fg xt and it really surprised me how fast it is off the mark. I’d been in quite a few b series non turbos and they were like slugs. I also owned a 290rwkw ba xr6 turbo with 820nm and it flew but this xt would beat it off the mark for a teeny tiny bit lol. Now I need to lower it somehow because it’s Ridiculously high!

Like the commodores, they finally got them right. Then it was all over. Such a shame the 1 tonner is no more. If they'd made a dual cab version there's be less hiluxes etc out there. Much more practical for tradies.
I brought my 2011 na Limited Edition xr6 at the start of 2021 for 17.5k and it only had 42xxx ks on it, and i'm absolutely loving it ! best car i've ever driven
Great video Ross! Always down to earth and honest. Well done and it's nice to see an American enjoying these great Aussie cars. It's a shame that didn't make it to the states. Take care😊
If I should return to the Falcon, it most likely would be a naturally aspirated XR6 or G6E from FG, FG2 or the FGX. Though, I was almost tempted by a low kms BF MkII auto but that has been bought by an astute purchaser. It had less that 40k kms and looked new. Why NA. Less to worry about and the Barra is a very capable engine for a cruising the Stuart Highway and passing road trains.
Johnny mate hahah you finally got to try out the good old FG n/a XR6 good shit, they go alright hey I have a 2011 with the ZF box, catback xforce stainless steel exhaust,v8 airbox with k&n filter, big mouth air intake & only run Bp 98,off the lights I've surprised a lot of different cars you put your foot flat in sports mode it's quite impressive mate,I've had it for 4yrs & no problem at all except 1flat battery, she's done 108,256 kms I change the oil but the dipstick never drops from full these things could run on water,I only do short trips through the week & go cruise for a few hours on the weekends & I'm getting 11L/100 which is good for a heavy car & I don't drive like a priest, the most reliable car I have owned hands down, people will laugh but these things will get you to the moon & back & still go no worries lol that's why I picked it over the VF Commodore,I'm going to trade her in for a turbo eventually but when I do I'll be sad to see her go,loved this review buddy as you knew I would, until the next one stay safe man.
they are great cars no doubt about it! and with a few mods i reckon would make it come alive.. but yes if you want scary speed gotta go with a turbo :) but still the NAs make great daily cars
The car iv owned for the longest was a 2nd hand 06 falcon XT , suspension sounded like an old battle ship an every time I'd replace a blown fuse another one would blow
Ford article 2011:: As part of the drive program, Ford set up two outwardly identical XR6 Falcons for a drag at the Broadford racing circuit north of Melbourne. For the first run, the writer drove the anonymous LPI version (car #2) and found it to be substantially faster than the petrol variant. Forget about launching the car, since the ability of individual drivers and a slightly wet track could result in different outcomes, but the LPI Falcon would progressively haul away from the petrol car on the move. It was a fairly clear demonstration of the LPI Falcon’s capacity to embarrass its petrol counterpart. Sitting in the cabin there was little sense of separation between the two cars (LPI and petrol), although the LPI car’s added torque below 2000rpm seemed to be the element that conferred that car’s performance advantage at launch and lower speeds. Drivers could simply roll onto the throttle, feed in the torque and avoid loss of traction. We only had one run in each car and there was little time to learn the intricacies of exploiting each car’s performance, but the results were plain enough. According to Ford’s PR team, the LPI version won every time out of the 14 races, which is no mean feat given the potential for variation among the drivers. Out on the road, while overtaking, the LPI Falcon delivered the sort of power and torque that would have been the preserve of Windsor V8s in the days of the AU Series Fords - about 10 years ago. There’s effortless acceleration on part throttle, but pushing the pedal all the way to the floor really delivers in a linear way, right across the rev range. It’s unrelentingly strong from zero revs through the mid-range into the peaky area around the redline. At least part of that must be due to the FG engine’s split-plenum inlet manifold and the transmission’s six forward ratios for optimum performance. Words like ‘forceful’ and ‘dramatic’ trickled into the driver’s mind as the Falcon jetted past slower cars.
Great video again mate! I’m swapping a NA Barra (195) into my XD wagon. Given that my wagon is 300kg lighter than that gorgeous XR6, it actually puts my power to weight ratio in the vicinity of an HSV CV8 Monaro! Not too shabby at all! Of course a turbo changes everything.
@@thomaslewis7621 The type of crack that allows me to calculate basic maths. Seeing as you’ve gone to the trouble of typing such a meaningful comment, here’s mine: A 225kw 2002 CV8 Monaro with a tare mass of 1586kg equals a power to weight ratio of 0.1418. My 1979 wagon with the 190kw Barra has a much lighter mass of 1340kg which equals a power to weight ratio of 0.1417. I know the Monaro will slaughter me but the ‘’power to weight ratio” is indeed in the vicinity with a delta of 0.0001. I’ll hook you up with my dealer.
Hi Ross Reviews this is Jordan’s car reviews here. I’m so sorry I missed the premiere, I was busy. Have you been watching my RUclips channel lately? Thank you very much for this review. From Jordan’s car reviews.
I reckon if you put a set of hot cams in it and your basic na mods and work the head and a diff out of a xr6 turbo or a xr8 and a tune and it should go really good
Nice. I have a manual FG II, and a Ford SZ II Barra Territory. Both great for their different purposes. I have to say, the auto in the Territory is actually pretty good....for an auto. That's actually praise coming from an auto hater like me lol.
Its good you moved to Australia Johnny the best country imo.I was looking at an XR6 Ford Falcon in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne the price is 8,990 but has done 213,000kms would it still be a good purchase?
Nice review buddy 👍 So tbh honest I have never been a fan of falcons in general but Dad bought one box fresh when it came out and it wasn't untill I drove it I got respect for it.. It's a dream to service and only a couple minor issues..He has the auto and 0-100 time is comparable to my bmw e82 but it was tuned and that was 6.4 sec..That floaty suspension makes a nice change on Sydney roads...My m-sport suspension although handles great you feel every minor bump...Other thing was he runs bone stock brakes and they are very responsive...Definitely a cheaper car to run 🙂
the falcons seem to be like that every one bags them until they finally take one out or own one... they are really capable cars n a few years ago where dirt cheap!
@@RossReviewsau Also been told they are great sedan for towing because of the torque (similar numbers to a turbo) Its much the same engine that the Territory 4x4 uses...
@@Michael-xv1od Basic stuff like extractors and sports exhaust and CAI. Probably most important was the M86 lsd with 3.46 gears and the engine/ tranny tune.
Replacing worn bushes with super pro, new HD gas shocks, and a front upper A arm shim kit and an alignment with extra positive castor fixes the sloppy handlingb😉 Power? Who cares, my ZF auto did 0-100 in 7 flat, want go quicker I'd go turbo..
I heard a slight cha between the changes 0 -100 test. Try the auto version. An XT will do. The old 4.1 were known to achieve a million km in cab use. Rarely having cold starts was key.
@@RossReviewsau Ouch. Glad I'm here in WA. Didn't realize they had restrictions as over here as I'm looking at a couple G6E turbo's or one of the cheap F6X's that have popped up on carsales when I get my p's mid next year. Every Aussie should own an Aussie made car atleast once. There's F6X #P001 for sale right now.
im from nsw and as a p plate legal car i have a holden vy ss crewman with the beautiful ls1, you should do a review on one because i think they are really underrated for a p plate legal car
@@RossReviewsau You would like mine with 11.1 comp small cam 382 stroker LS1, 3:73s in the bum, whiteline sawbar, all shocks bushes done, brake upgrade (but not lowered it's stock ss height with stock 17s and good rubber). Trust me I still remember picking it up from the car yard some years ago and "boat" it was before I got my hands on it.
Another awesome review. I'd love to see a comparison between the FG XR6 NA and the eco lpi version. The eco lpi version has about 200kw and 400nm stock...so a bit more go than the petrol.
I agree they look bloody good mate, have you reviewed a G6E Turbo ?, I’ve been looking at second hand ones & I think they look even better. Awesome channel M8 🇦🇺🍺👍
Ross , would be great if you do a performance drive for an NA FGX XR6 auto. A low klm test car fuelled with 98 fuel. A bit quicker? Interesting to see the numbers.
Great review...I have owned a 2017 Mercedes C250 for several years now and I absolutely love it..My prior car I had for five years was 2012 FG MKII XR6 Limited Edition N/A in Black Absolutely loved it, had very few issues and loved the leather seats, 19" wheels and piano black dash treatment. It went hard with the 6 speed ZF autobox..The C250 does mid 6s but it has a turbo to get it done unlike the Falcon Nothing but great memories of my XR6 and went German because Falcons and Commodores were no longer, plus my income could now afford it and no interest in a Ranger or Hilux lol
Great vid, I own a 2012 MK II XR 6 non turbo in the kinetic blue colour with snowflake rims and 117K on the odometer ....I love my car so much......I heard you mention in the video about differential bushes being a problem for the XR6s, my last service at Ford Dec' 2021 they mentioned I'd have to replace mine for the second time in the car's lifetime and I have had my car since brand new....( I have always had the car serviced and any mechanical repairs done at Ford...(aside from the diff' bushes once before, I have only had the windscreen wiper motor go on me)...being a 2012 model the car is out of warranty, is it worth replacing the bushes at an authorised Ford dealership for the near 2K they charge ? Thank you.
Recently sold my 2012 FG XR6 NA ZF auto 270000k and miss it greatly I have a 2016 FGX Turbo in reality I would prefer my old 2012 with the 18s Michelin Pilot sport 4 and upgraded shocks and bushes
In my opinion turbo cars are fun fun fun but from a purest like me a highly tuned na car for me any day of the week . They rev way way harder and are way more of a drivers car around the corners . Not talking race tracks so much more Targa. Both are great tho
My mates and I used to race at the red lights when we were on our ps and found that my manual fg and my mates manual bf would always beat my other mate with the auto. Not by much but a win is a win. I think the manuals had 3:45 and the zf autos might have 2:73 diff gears tho I could be wrong
@@RossReviewsau Yeah No trouble wanting to share my dyno sheet had great gains for a N/A 25kw gain an NM gains were more so different car to drive now completely Cheers for your videos.

Barra N/A is more than enough cause In general, it's almost pointless to have a sport car in Australia cause pigs and cameras are everywhere.
I'm a proud owner of a 2010 XR50 NA and I absolutely love it. As much as I'd love a turbo, I don't think I could part ways with it
gotta get both i reckon :)
Damn is that thing 11 years old already. :). Had a friend that bought that ute.
@@RossReviewsau just sucks how expensive everything is 😢
@@DEVILTAZ35 it's crazy to think how old they are hey
I have the 2013 FG XR6 6 speed manual. It averages around the 10 litres per 100km fuel except on the open road, which gets around 8.1 litres.
I just bought an 09 G6 with low kms for 7.5k, so happy with it and I've been cruising some country roads! Great vid btw! Cheers
Nice one! thats a steel for a G6 man..
Mystic is the best FG mk1 colour
Might be biased as I did own one from new. Great review
You can really pick up some speed if you leave your foot on the accelerator... 😂 good one man 👍🏼
😂 I know that one was a bit of a no brainer but it goes faster than you would expect for the amount of pedal you give it😅
Just bustin your chops mate, love your work 😄👍🏼
Swear I replied to this before 🤔
"perfect learners car" indeed it is that's why i now own a fg manual mk 2 ute
love a ute! and manual good stuff mate!
The car iv owned for the longest was a 2nd hand 06 falcon XT , suspension sounded like an old battle ship an every time I'd replace a blown fuse another one would blow
haha they def have their own quirks these cars.. but something about them just feels right :)
Ford article 2011::
As part of the drive program, Ford set up two outwardly identical XR6 Falcons for a drag at the Broadford racing circuit north of Melbourne.
Absolute beauty... same car , same colour with few mods..👍👍👍..
Thanks heaps for reviewing this absolute beauty ...
My pleasure mate! yours sounds very nice with a few upgrades :)
Nice one! that sounds epic :) gotta love a wagon and as always BARRA THE WORLD! haha
What type of crack are you smoking
@@thomaslewis7621 The type of crack that allows me to calculate basic maths. Seeing as you’ve gone to the trouble of typing such a meaningful comment, here’s mine:
A 225kw 2002 CV8 Monaro with a tare mass of 1586kg equals a power to weight ratio of 0.1418.
You can easily "rack up" a million kays on an LPG green top and I sold a petrol with 690k's and it drove fine... no knocks or anything sinister...
They go n go n go eh
Bro I know it's to late but manual vs automatic transmission that could've been interesting ☺️ 🤙🏻
Yeah true that could be something i try one day.. :)
Hi Ross Reviews this is Jordan’s car reviews here. I’m so sorry I missed the premiere, I was busy. Have you been watching my RUclips channel lately? Thank you very much for this review. From Jordan’s car reviews.
thanks jordan! glad you enjoyed the review i know you where waiting for this one!
Thanks. You just pushed the value of my turbo up.
Glad I could help haha.. ps i drive a typhoon🤑
I’d love to see a modded and tuned fg na vs stock xr6 turbo video either bf or fg. 🤔🤔
good idea! just need to find the right NA FG
My FG got few mods basic things like high flow cat, cold air intake, extractors and going for a tune soon. possibly cams in the future . (NA)
Noticed you haven't reviewed the Territory Turbo yet? I had one and when modded it's a bloody rocket at lights..
looking to get a F6X on the show soon!
F6X would be a little machine....👌
Solid review . Love this Chanel .
Thank you mate!😍
I got one of these but with the 6 Speed ZF box 215000km she still drives like she’s new, Ford service the other day they are impressed with it
they are great! the ZF is very good too :)
Great video. You should put it up against the eco lpi model (2012 and above lpg). I'd be curious to see the difference.
Great suggestion! planning to review a LPG one soon
Would love to see a comparison of the Na fg xr6 and a Ve sv6 both manual
im trying to make it happen just cant find a VE sv6 thats stock & clean
@@RossReviewsau coz they’re shit and all there timing chains have slapped the owners in the face 😂🤣
@@boss302frostyfordfan2 🤣🤣not wrong
Bought a mk1 fg with high ks for 2k this week. Few issues but not bad for the price
Yep I’ve got a falcon fg xt, they go hard and reliable you don’t even need a turbo but if u can get one get one.
Ive got the same one and it goes hard enough and i like the fact that it has not got all that boy racer crap on the body like the xr6s.
First the announcement of an XW gs now we got an upload with an FG XR6. Feel pretty spoiled here haha
HAHA! mate just wait 1000HP Barra ute is up this monday also!
@@RossReviewsau ahh hell yea ❤
Its good you moved to Australia Johnny the best country imo.I was looking at an XR6 Ford Falcon in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne the price is 8,990 but has done 213,000kms would it still be a good purchase?
Thanks mate.. sounds reasonable to me
Literally got the same car, colour and everything does really well especially for a p plate legal car and cheaper than an sv6 as well
great cars eh... loved this thing
4:35 so you're telling i'll go faster if i push the accelerator down more?
🥱 to smart I know
Nice review buddy 👍 So tbh honest I have never been a fan of falcons in general but Dad bought one box fresh when it came out and it wasn't untill I drove it I got respect for it..
I ran a 13.7 in my NA ZF Xr6 with just some really simple bolt ons and a tune. And my car has 410k kms too lol.
thats awesome to see you still giving it shit even at 410,000km! haha love it bro! barra the world
13.7?? Wow, what’s ur Insta interested in how u managed that, got the same car
I’m so glad he said it’s perfect for learners because I bought one and am a learner 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
you got a really good car to start with :) congrats!
Never going to breakdown, the biggest plus about these cars. They can take a beating for years.
u on ur ps yet? u gotta rip some skids on ur ps
Love the FG's , I managed to get my FG Xr6 NA 6 speed auto down the 1/4 in 13.6 seconds , so no slouch !
nice work.. yeh they go alright! great cars
@@RossReviewsau It's a small thing but i wish they put lighted buttons on the steering wheel lol. It was my pet peeve with the Falcon.
Any major mods done to the FG or just high flow cats and basic things like that?
@@Michael-xv1od Basic stuff like extractors and sports exhaust and CAI. Probably most important was the M86 lsd with 3.46 gears and the engine/ tranny tune.
@@mg74xbgt got everything but a LSD that u mentioned. (Tune incoming)
Replacing worn bushes with super pro, new HD gas shocks, and a front upper A arm shim kit and an alignment with extra positive castor fixes the sloppy handlingb😉 Power? Who cares, my ZF auto did 0-100 in 7 flat, want go quicker I'd go turbo..
thats it mate.. them mods will really help
Definitely a pod filter, cold air intake muffler delete and a sports exhaust does a world of good for these cars
that would really help agreed! + a set of coilovers :)
@@RossReviewsau definitely something I really want to do to my FG, just gotta keep saving up🤣
@@nathano907 you will one day mate :)
Depends where you live. They are cracking down heaps now in NSW for anything not running stock.
I heard a slight cha between the changes 0 -100 test.
Try the auto version. An XT will do.
The old 4.1 were known to achieve a million km in cab use. Rarely having cold starts was key.
yeh i've heard the cab's could easily go over a million kms on the engine.. impressive!
great review but i owned a 2006 xr8 Manuel and nothing will ever put a smile on my face like it did...
Thanks mate 🙏
I got bf wagon. Goes good n can kip in the back. Love it'
I'm in the market looking at buying one of these thanks for the great review
Glad you enjoyed it! Wicked cars
Wish my 380 had a 6 speed manual, would be perfect for me. I can dream.
gotta love a manual gear box
Why is this the P-Platers choice? They're cheap and reliable but is there another reason to get this over something like a turbo?
since over east P platers cant get V8s or turbos they all get the Falcons or SV6s
Recommend. Replace all the rear bushes with superpro and get the upper lower control arms and radius arms with superpro it's worth it
ive got them in my F6
im from nsw and as a p plate legal car i have a holden vy ss crewman with the beautiful ls1, you should do a review on one because i think they are really underrated for a p plate legal car
im really keen on a crewman SS! very hard to find tho in good condition
It be cool to see how this thing goes up against the 200kw Aurion's of the day.
That sounds like a cool comparison!
U will get chopped, tried it once in my old fg xr6, wouldnt mind trying again in my fg xr8 this time 😂😂
An amazing Aussie car, I just bought an FG MK2 G6E for my channel!
nice work mate gotta love a barra
Another awesome review. I'd love to see a comparison between the FG XR6 NA and the eco lpi version. The eco lpi version has about 200kw and 400nm stock...so a bit more go than the petrol.
How's the fuel economy on the Falcon XR6 FG ?
I agree they look bloody good mate, have you reviewed a G6E Turbo ?, I’ve been looking at second hand ones & I think they look even better.

These Falcons are designed to do big kilometres in comfort with plenty of power for most people.
They do well
Ross , would be great if you do a performance drive for an NA FGX XR6 auto. A low klm test car fuelled with 98 fuel. A bit quicker? Interesting to see the numbers.
Great review...I have owned a 2017 Mercedes C250 for several years now and I absolutely love it..My prior car I had for five years was 2012 FG MKII XR6 Limited Edition N/A in Black
Absolutely loved it, had very few issues and loved the leather seats, 19" wheels and piano black dash treatment. It went hard with the 6 speed ZF autobox..The C250 does mid 6s but it has a turbo to get it done unlike the Falcon
Nothing but great memories of my XR6 and went German because Falcons and Commodores were no longer, plus my income could now afford it and no interest in a Ranger or Hilux lol
thanks simon glad you enjoyed the review :)
Thank you.
No point in going to a Ford dealer for that mate.. just a good mechanic will sort you out for much cheaper 👍
Hey Ross, manual fgs are rare especially in sedan how much did it cost
not sure what the owner had to pay.. but was impressive to see a manual one.. and stock!
I paid 20k for my manual xr6t sedan. 2010 fg in seduce red
@Daniel Nelthorpe it’s just manuals are so rare in fgs
I miss my FG XR6 in Nitro Blue
great cars n great colour
Recently sold my 2012 FG XR6 NA ZF auto 270000k and miss it greatly I have a 2016 FGX Turbo in reality I would prefer my old 2012 with the 18s Michelin Pilot sport 4 and upgraded shocks and bushes
How do we go about flash tuning the FG at home?
Were is the snokle???
"You can go faster the more you use the accelerator" - Ross
I just picked one up with 30k on the clock....yeah.
Good find
In my opinion turbo cars are fun fun fun but from a purest like me a highly tuned na car for me any day of the week . They rev way way harder and are way more of a drivers car around the corners . Not talking race tracks so much more Targa. Both are great tho
both have their own charms :) but agree that a NA is still a huge amount of fun
I think the na manuals are slightly quicker than the autos coz of the diff gears in them!
im not sure.. but you could very well be right mate
Not sure about the FGs, but I know the B series NA/xr6 have a lower gear so they're a lot punchier and responsive than the XTs
My mates and I used to race at the red lights when we were on our ps and found that my manual fg and my mates manual bf would always beat my other mate with the auto. Not by much but a win is a win.
I think the manuals had 3:45 and the zf autos might have 2:73 diff gears tho I could be wrong
A thing To Add is that from factory they are running incredibly Rich Lean them up with good tune an fuel economy comes right down.
cheers for the tip Jason.. would always recommend a tune for a barra :)
@@RossReviewsau Yeah No trouble wanting to share my dyno sheet had great gains for a N/A 25kw gain an NM gains were more so different car to drive now completely Cheers for your videos.
