hi! you're on the right track, but please stop writing in the comment section that you're "still learning" but making big as$ statements and assumptions in the actual videos. try to understand why I'm saying the things I'm saying (it helps if you don't stop the video in the middle of my sentences). if you don’t know, ASK, don't assume and run with it.
maybe you don't realize this, but your experience in the industry is not the same as bts'. slow down a little and open your mind to others' points of views and experiences. you are doing great btw, no hate. I hope you get to learn a lot more about bts' journey and discography

Will do in the future. Thank you for this measured comment as well.
As I am still learning my comments may be big or a hot take but I leave space in the comments to be educated since most of my comments are opinions.
So when I get to talk to army after the video comes out I learn more and it reshapes my opinions. I will do a better job letting you finish in full so I don’t cut your points off too early.
Thank you also for being a good sport about it all. You really do great work and I appreciate all the efforts you put in to your videos.
Final note is the redaction just standard or is it to not further promote other fandoms and to mitigate fan wars.

@@Jurnalist_ that's great! i don't redact because of the laws in korea. i'm not defaming anyone and commentary and criticism fall under fair use in youtube. i redact because that group and their label always include bts in their mediaplay and i'm not giving them what they want. i know you think we should call them out by name, but we've been doing that for +6 years and they only feed from that, so i don't mention their names because at the end of the day, if you go outside and ask people about them, people don't know who they are, they only know bts. and it's not only them, i also redact every other group who claims to be "the next bts" just like those girlies do. i have a video about it if you want to check it out 😂

It’s not that she hates them, it’s just……..*sigh* if you only knew the level of media play that is involved with this group, like actually looking at their stats and achievements…you’d laugh. For a while I side eyed their company only for this, but with time I saw how the group went along with it, they embodied and claimed it, that’s what made me see THEM in a different light. It made me lose respect for them, so even though I had heard like 3 of their songs, I didn’t care to look into them further or give them any of my time. No integrity. I think boracity “mentions” them because they’re constantly trying to make them seem at the same level as BTS when facts prove that to be faaaar from the truth. They’re constantly trying to hand them achievements without putting in the work whereas BTS has had to claw their way up. I don’t believe she hates BP, she hates the tactics used to get this group their fame. Fake it till you make it, essentially.

I'm gonna be shady for a minute, personally, I thought BP lost that group of the year award cause their performance wasn't good. You even had these same media outlets that were posting about their (later to be discovered untrue) win, writing how they had one of the worst performances of the night (it was kinda brutal not gonna lie, esp for BP who gets only media compliments). Bora thinks its the social media engagement that got them to turn, I think its the same people that were going to give them that reward that changed their mind mid-show. (But yes, overall engagement was lower, irl and online. It isn't that BP isn't supported, ARMY support is just wild and leaves an impact - I don't know if they expected it with every kpop group out there.)

The reason why we redact the names is to avoid fanwars and also not give clout to the group.
    No free promotion. 😂
Also our beef isn't with the group itself, its with their label and their mediaplay.
So it would be unfair to point out the groups name constantly cus they ain't the ones doing all the shady shit.

agree, twitter do the same. we make fake names like BP and other words to avoid fans from the other fandoms joining in on the conversation and give cloth. and yes it´s the label not the groups themself. armys have become suspicious of any of the big 3 labels after what they did to BTS.
i am also proud of army to actually trending the bad stuff that is going on. it´s the only thing we can do and it´s working. no one want a bad trend on their name. grammy and Spotify has already gotten heat. and many media stations has removed bad articles with bts and apologized so we as a fandom has a voice strong enough to be heard.

It's difficult to bring names of other K-pop artists in, that's when death threats start becoming an issue. Each fandom has their own set of immature and toxic fans, but toxic ARMYs and Blinks tend to be the worst when put head to head. There can be fair and unfair comparisons made between the two groups, so mentioning both in the same conversation can lead to unnecessary drama in the comments section.

BLACKPINk is the big example when it comes to mediaplay

  • @ZariDV
    @ZariDV Год назад +133

It honestly sends me when ever she redacts Their name but I think it's partially out of self preservation and not wanting the comments section full of fanwars instead of actual discussion about the topic. It's less about hating the group and more that this group in particular is the textbook example of what the videos are about. They are usually the only other kpop/Korean group that BTS goes head-to-head with which is beyond insulting when there are much more talented groups out there.
To outright name drop is like announcing that you want a fanwar. That's not what the videos are for. It's not to attack the group out of spite but unfortunately, that group is one of the biggest offenders of many of the topics that are covered where corruption is involved. The very fact that they are BTS's biggest competitor is laughable and insulting. Yes, music is subjective but it ain't THAT subjective. It's not even to insult the group since it's not their fault that their music isn't giving. It's not like they write, produce or compose their stuff so they can't be blamed. So when people say their music is catchy at best, it's not an insult to the group since they have no real control over much. It's more of an indictment on their team being lazy and doing the same tired pop bops with a similar vibe every year. They have potential they just need a new team, better management, and some drive. Any drive.
It's honestly the height of musical corruption that they are framed as BTS's only "competition" (from Korea) on the global stage. Korea has so many talented idols that could be real competition. It's a slap to the face that media outlets keep insinuating that they're the ones who might take BTS's spot. It's like if Kendrick Lamar had to put up with the media trying to make it seem like Lil Pump was his biggest competition in the global hip hop market. Like gtfoh and don't play in our face like that.

The truth is they aren't a competition. Media playing really working hard. Data show how this group not even in the second place. The 2022 best selling physical album in US for group they even aren't in top 10. Even a 4th gen group outselling them and place in top ten. Streamwise for spotify for 2022 another group was in second place not them. And even in overall stream they are in 2nd place the gap between them vs bts is huge. 31 billion vs 9 billion. Proof album has 9 billion alone. We can blame their company for mediaplaying but I am still distasteful w/ these girls bec they are grown adult w/ brains. It is imposiible that they aren't aware. They always chummy w/ spotify exect. That bastard delete all his IG post and went private when army called his ass when spotify take back Jungkook as the most stream kpop soloist in 2022 and said it was one of the girlies. Reason of girlies fandom. Collaboration do not count. So if that's the case then Jhope should be the most stream kpop soloist, still not this girlie. Spotify again take back the announcement and said it was error on their part and declared Jungkook again as the most stream kpop soloist. While this spotify exec who being chummy chummy w/ girlies still on private and all his ig post deleted. So atp these girlies are part of their company's dirty work. They know and agree on that. I'm all on girl power but not w/ cheaters.

@@rivarosemontefalco5070 You're right. They aren't legitimate competition in the genuine sense of the word. I should have worded that more accurately to say that they have been falsely propped up as BTS's competition in the public sphere. They have been hand-selected each time to be placed in categories for awards and in conversations about kpop dominating the music industry. Meanwhile they've done very little musically to earn those things. It's unfair to the ladies because they don't have any real control over how the powers that be choose to use them.
Music isn't even secondary for that group. It seems to be on the backburner altogether. Even when they release music, it sounds recycled and I suspect it's because they use the same guy who gave them their first hits. Except now it sounds dated and hollow. Their company is far too wealthy not to invest more into them musically. If youre not going to give the artists much creative control and leave them to the mercy of the public, at least pay for some variety. Then they starve their fanbase so much that any crumb of music they drop feels like the holy grail to them because they turned BP's music into a scarcity. It's sick to watch them manipulate people but the fans eat it up every time.
Their fans don't even seem to actually care to support the group either. If you look at voting engagement, it's abysmal only until BTS is up against them. I've notice that many of their fans arent actually their fans, they're just BTS antis and people who want to humble ARMY. Otherwise they never show up for those ladies. It's all a farce. It's hard to respect that other fandom when the delusions are so real. They will ignore every shred of reality to buy into the company lies. They could mobilize and demand better for the ladies but they would rather take the lies so they can feel better. It's annoying.

She's one of the biggest ARMY analyst youtubers out there. I, personally, disliked the redactions because when I was learning it left me with less information than I liked, but understanding how much clout she has... it's all for BTS and ARMY. She doesn't want to share that clout with these other groups as they are not her focus. Especially when these groups have companies who use shady tactics to give their groups popularity. She doesn't h4te BP nor is she being petty. ARMY's currency is streams and clicks/attention. Many entities and fanbases have the bad habit of baiting army to increase engagement toward their artist. They create offensive tweets and when army responds their artist name is suddenly trending because there are so many. That's why army has a habit to censor or not mention names of other artists.

She may avoid actually naming them because Korea's laws around what one can print are much stricter than those in the US and England. I am absolutely no expert but I have read reports that all of the music producers including BiHit have taken individuals and organizations to court for what they have written about their artist. In fact, BigHit has publicly thanked ARMY for alerting them to such posts and articles.
Also, while your position in the Grammy's is shared by many, the fact that BTS had not won a Grammy was used by some in the Korean Goverenment as a reason not to give BTS members a military exemption. Korean athletes and classical/traditional musicians who have won old medals or other so called prestigious foreign recognition are exempted from their military obligation. The issue of military exemption was a huge political football and the actual BTS members did not seek an exemption but their lack of a Grammy was raised as an issue.

I don't hate BLACKPINK at all, in fact, they were my entry point to K-Pop (not first K-Pop artist I became familiar with, but first one I was interested in more than one song). They have good music, but a bit repetitive for my taste. And they don't make their music, so it's hard for me to be connected. I personally don't have issues with these women. But their company? Oh, don't let me start. I hope when BLACKPINK' contracts will end they leave their label and will go the ways each of them will be happy with.
That's not BLACKPINK who needs to be shamed for all this crap, it's fcking YG. I really can't even blame any of BLACKPINK members because I don't know where their decisions and opinions end and YG's start. I don't even know if there are any of their own decisions and opinions. All of this is such a mess.
As for mentioning their name, I completely agree with BoraCity. YG always trying to put their name next to BTS' name. And this mediaplay leads to misconception that BP are as big as BTS when they don't even close. They don't even that big in Korea. So even if we all know who they are, it's strategic to not put their name next to BTS in BTS dedicated video. I really really want for female K-Pop artist to be big enough to be recognised around the world, but not with the ways YG using to fake BP's success. Unfortunately. There's a lot of female K-Pop artists who make their own music and love what they are doing. And again it's not BP.
    So, in conclusion:
BoraCity is refusing to mention groups names because she doesn't want the artists to be attacked, because it's not even their fault and not to create mediaplay for them, bringing their name next to BTS.
Yeontan is V's dog and he is ADORABLE. I swear all BTS and ARMY are in love with him. It's to make it harder for blackpink fans to stumble across army tweets because they aren't being made containing the name blackpink. However most of the time its petty insults. I mean this 2022 alone we saw many colourful names given to bts and armys. Some of armys new nicknames from antis (kpoppies) are lilac lieutenants, purple dinosaurs, thanos coloured mfs, military fandom,,,, as you can see it's all very petty name calling, though i remember none of the army was offended by these names and found them funny 😂

Idk why, we as viewers, now knowing how the Grammy’s work, should believe they hold so much value.. If the Academy is just a group of musicians producers, etc. who live in LA, and that to get a Grammy, you have to “hang out” with them, does it really say anything about how good your music is? All it really says is that this artist is well aquatinted with the academy.
Why should we as viewers care who this small group of individuals in LA choose to give the award to? Why does their opinion hold so much value?
To me, the Grammy’s is like a fraternity or sorority that hazes freshman before they make their decision to accept or reject them

They are not good enough to have success on their own and need connections and money to have success. For me Olivia Rodrigo and BP especially BP are Industry plants. But as you can see Olivia Rodrigo dominated the Grammys even when better songs and albums exist. Same with countless of other examples when other artists should have won over the winners. Eminem who is one of the people I respect exposed their asses that they only reward their darlings instead of the artists that deserve the award. And their racism is off the charts also for years. It still is. And even people who are from the Academy itself have exposed these things. To me such award shows that do not reward actual quality but those with connections even though they pretend they do, do not hold any value.

my guess is that besides the wrong counting of votes, money, deals, corruption and shady stuff of their company and award shows, deep down many people get frustrated because blackpink don't show the same passion and love for music as BTS
while some awards are fairly given to them, the ones that aren't feel even more unjust because they doesn't really seem to care about making music
we actually don't know what is in their contract and how much freedom they have to explore their artistic creativity
they're good performers but most their stuff has the same producer (teddy), they have some songs that were bought and there's basically no involvement or interest shown in making songs but the media makes it seem like their out of this world, that they're a revolution (that word is used a lot)
i honestly like them but i'm not sure if they like what they do sometimes
i am curious to see what happens in August, if they renew their contracts, if it's revealed they modified parts of it

The Academy invited them the year their new president, who replaced the previously rejected racist president, was making gestures at inclusivity. While promoting Butter, they also gave industry brown-nosing a try to win over Academy members. This was after HYBE (their newly formed IPO umbrella company) bought Ithaca Holdings. I'm fairly certain it's a combination of knowing that S Korea's laws against slander/liable are strict and can have consequences for anyone who isn't careful and also because she doesn't want fandom wars in her comments. You should check out 4 videos by a yt channel called Two Set Violin (probably better on your own time)...Paganini Reacts to Shut Down, Paganini "Sell Out", They Tried to Cancel Our Concert, and Toxic Kpop Fans. These guys are professional musicians who did satire about a recent BP song that sampled classical music by Paganini. Let's just say BP fans were NOT pleased. This will give you an idea of what they are like. And just in case you decide to react to BP (if you haven't already), I would also recommend being careful what you say about them and their fans...unless you just like all kinds of drama in your comments.
But, honestly....I think it's likely BTS will get at least one Grammy without having to shmooze. As she mentioned in the video, awards shows have been facing a decline in numbers except when BTS is in attendance. One of the things Korean awards shows did this year to get ARMY's attention is to honor them in outstanding ways (one show even created an award that only BTS will likely qualify to win for many years to come) and having other artists perform quite a few of their songs. I think American awards shows are likely to find some way to get ARMY's engagement. The fact that BTS have 3 Grammy noms this year is already a pretty good sign. But no one is holding their breath at the same time.
But, anywho. Thanks for the reaction. 😊

She uses BP because it's only done on BP. BP's management is known to do this. BP is not a truly musical group. They are not artists - they are mere performers, or they are forced to, but they are times you would see that they do not really like it. Maybe at times they do, Lisa is a good performer, so as Rose and Jisoo - but they never create materials that come from their hearts - could be that they are not being allowed to.. but people in the agency have let their own other artists to create their own music like GD or CL before so yeah

But mediaplay going to be even worse when BTS on rest.
And about voting... them winning over ARMY? If you don't vote you wouldn't understand the joke it is. In votings they most of the time are close to the bottom. And if they are on top they are cheating. Like GMA idolplus voting they had 1.6m fraudulent voting that was deleted.

Jurney Love, she doesn’t hate Black Pink. She put that disclaimer for a reason. She omits BP name for a reason. She knows us. I am a member of Army too. I say us because I can’t disavow the fandom when bad behavior occurs and only admit my membership when the behavior is note worthy.
The toxicity in K-Pop fandoms is unprecedented. I mean after GaGa won that award with Ariana for Rain on me, the toxicity was so bad, RM had to do a Vlive and reel Army in. He apologized to Gaga/fandom. It’s so embarrassing.
The truth is Army doesn’t give 3 Fuks about a Grammy. We know our guys’ worth. They want to win so we want them to win. I don’t think they would win if they did all of the schmoozing either. I don’t think the recording academy really wants to award an Asian group. I love Adele, but when she won Album of the year instead of Beyonce then during her award acceptance speech said aloud Beyonce should have won, I was done. Bey would win every award but that one. Album of the year was so elusive for Black artists. Stevie Wonder won, Michael Jackson won and a couple of others I can’t remember now when I use to watch the shammy’s
It’s so anti-BTS because they are graceful losers. BP toxic Blinks and BTS toxic Armies are East Coast, Crips and Bloods. Can you say death threats? The sht is real.
There were issues with the Jimin and Taeyang collab. Why? VIPs and Armies clashing. Luckily, it did not swell, but trust me Taeyang and Jimin know the sht that was said on social media.
BTS Taehyung allegedly decided to follow T.O.P formerly Taeyang’s band mate in Big Bang on Instagram. People began to unfollow him so to avoid any extra extra, allegedly. I don’t want to curse out anyone who is unraveling by my comment so allegedly is used here. The simplest comment can be misconstrued into the stratosphere. The K-Pop groups members’ get along. It’s the fandoms.
An ongoing issue Army has is that Jimin is the ONLY member who is excluded from trending on Twitter because his name is considered popular. The workaround is to use Jiminie or some little variation so he can trend. Right now, an issue with crediting Jimin for the feature with Taeyang because Vibe is a massive hit. Allegedly. I have no idea about the numbers. Lol. #BTS #Army #Borahae💜🫰🏾

Blackpink is a prime example of media play and payola in kpop. Not only that, they are self proclaimed "biggest girl group in the world" but streams and sales dont back that up. Also their agency have used BTS's name on many occasions to draw attention to their group and most of all there are many real actions they took to shade or take down BTS. And when they couldnt ignore or take down BTS they wanted them for their company, sign them as artists but it didnt happen. There is too much factors for boracity to dislike blackpink and a lot of ARMYs dislike them too for these things. The industry with help of company money try to put BTS and bp on the same level but they hardly wrote any music (credits of the girls r less then 10 for all of them in the whole career I believe) and their performances are not as good. Their votes for awards and views on YT are proven to be partially bought. You can call me a hater but I hate what this group represents. I would never go online and write vile comments on their insta though.

I think you’re missing the point. BTS have struggled to be heard throughout their careers. They are huge and are trying to do it without playing the system. While you give sound ideas like attending parties and smooshing, BTS don’t want to do it this way. For a start the group never attends the after parties for these awards, they go back to their hotel and do a live with Army. For BTS, they have achieved this level of success without the institutions, with fan wars, anti etc so they don’t need to bend their principles. The Grammys was an aim, but they will be just as successful without any awards. They love music and army and that is their fuel to success. I like that bts are huge based on talent and their fandom, unlike the American artist who is gaming the system to be top.
By the way, please understand that these videos don’t mention the other groups because of the hardships both bts and the army suffered back in the day. You just watched the hardships video by xceleste, in it she showed you what the fans of other idols were doing to bring down bts. So to avoid more hate these video creators don’t mention the names of the other artists. It’s not that she hates them, she understands the backlash armies will feel if they mention the names.

Sounds like you have a strong opinion of what and how things should be said and since you have music industry experience, maybe you should create your own videos in your perspective on the industry in general. As you probably know, creators have a purpose and vision for their videos, so maybe respect that she put together all the info to point out the flaws in these award shows and the music industry in her own voice and purpose. You might have an inkling by now how toxic kpop idol fandoms are (you got a taste of it in the hardships video), and that this girl is a human being. Not everyone can handle tens of thousands of hate and vitriol for the mere mention of idol group who actually belong to one of the Big 3 companies (who supports the anti-/hate behavior towards BTS) and making these videos is a risk for anyone where there’s entities willing to misunderstand/twist what is said to lay untrue accusations and gaslighting. Being known in the public is not easy, and that includes RUclipsrs, on Twitter, on Tik Tok, etc. Everyone and their kid knows how to make you wanna unalive yourself with one comment. I don’t even know this creator at all, like personally (but have enjoyed few of her video essays), but I and most of us (esp. those who are not new army) know why certain names are redacted without even asking and that it does not mean hate for a kpop group/artist. I know you’re new and still learning, and it seems different from your American/Western way of thinking. I am born and raised in America, but I am also a poc and BTS’s existence in mainstream and BTS being loved by ALL people, made me feel that is okay to be who I am and that I am no less in worth because I’m not white and that there’s no shame in being what/who I am. My voice counts. Too many times where people talk over me, and not only because I’m a poc, but because I’m female, and plus I don’t fit the ideal mold.

Regarding the Black Pink issue, we need to consider whether the video creater is South Korean. South Korea has a law that allows artists to sue people for defamation--and they use it! Seriously, even students get sued for replying negatively about an artist. I don't know the nationality of the creator, but if they are SK, then it explains why she didn't say BP's name. I totally get what you mean when you said that boracity is kind of shaming blackpink from one hand but also don't necessarily do so from the other hand. But think about this- no one actually knows what is the agenda behind blackpink's acts, as we may know (or not) their label might be behind every move they do, maybe the members even tried to go against some of the tricks their label is forcing them, but the truth is that we don't know. It's a shame that blackpink have been shown some lame moves, but we don't know if we can say that it's their label or that the members are also a part of it. I believe that when boracity talks about them, she doesn't intend to put down the members of the group, but to highlight the b-s that has been done by the group, or by the name of the group.

I see you talked with her, so I guess it is clear her and our stand (majority): we don't hate BP, we hate the system, we criticize BP to the extent we can, we criticize the system because they are blatant losers. The girls, almost entirely sure, have nothing to do with their label shady moves. The day we learn the artists say "yes, do this to give me an award", then yes we'll shade them, so far... That's muddy waters.
There is another group: GOT7 (you reacted to a member appearance in another show, BamBam): they weren't happy with what their agency wanted from them (sing the songs the company wanted, the concepts they wanted... they could participate in the music but not as much as they wanted), so they split from their agency and regrouped thanks to their leader (he studied the laws and was able to keep their name, the name of their fandom and everything to themselves -- which isn't the case normally), so now each member is in a different agency (or their own) and all together are under what we guess is on the name of the leader (but hasn't been disclosed so far afaik). They used to have good chemistry with BTS, since there are 2 members that were born in 97 they were friends with JK and two members born in 94 as Hobi and Joon, but mostly was Jackson Wang and Namjoon the ones carrying the bonding xD (and yes, there is this thing where members born in the same year, even in different companies and groups end up having group chats together). So my point is they spoke up so we know where they stand with their company (they are grateful for helping their career, but said no more). About the girls... well, presumably they are happy (they were "company stans" previously, or at least a couple of them) with the money they get, but not sure how involved they could be in the shady aspects, so whoever says they hate BP... probably mean what they represent for the company (or they are just haters).
And using BP name is of no real use, when many do that, you just redact the name and exchange it with any other atp

I think the reason the names are censored is because even negative attention just adds to the hype and popularity/media attention of those mentioned groups. It's like when u view a video just to dislike it. The video is still getting views from u. Everyone knows (at one point) who boracitymagazine/xceleste etc are talking about and ig in a way they are not worth it to be even mentioned by name. Also mentioning names is just unnecessary, simply because they only need to represent the problem, that many groups/labels have, as a whole (the individual groups and their names don't matter, because the inherent issue is the same with all/most of them)
