Talking about the struggle with all the sanding and it finally being worth it. That's pretty much what's written there at the bottom of the coin. "Per ardua ad astra" means "Through adversity to the stars."
Totally agree with you, a great idea, but it would have made the coin stand out a lot more without the blue paint, it also takes away the beauty of the burl.
Good job on the design. I finally got my Maple burl I won off of eBay, but now I have ran out of resin. Go figure. Looking forward to seeing your next project.
I recommend buying 3M sandpaper, you don't need to use spray adhesive because the backing is a heat activated adhesive to make sanding sticks or to stick it to a surface, very handy
Ben's Worx How much do you charge for something like that, I’d think about sending something for you to do mate, I’m in Australia and I’m guessing your in Australia to👍👍👍👍
If you are laying the coins flat and they have writing on each side and client wants to be able to read them would you first coat them with epoxy then sandwich in the epoxy?
Hi, I just started watching you channel and I think it amazing. My moms birthday is coming up and I got a ticket from a football game from her childhood that is meaningful to her and I wanted to case the ticket and put it in clear resin and epoxy. Do you think I will still see the writing? Also if I want to make it a lamp and put lights on the bottom shine through, do you think it will work? Her birthday is June 12 by the way.
That really turned out nicely! Well done. Does anyone know if I can/should/should not do that with American Silver Eagle Coins? I want to put a tube of them in one display-mold. 1/8th-1/4 inch apart... Maybe... Probably too many...at 20 coins... Also... Can you break the coin out of the resin, if you decide one day to sell it as a coin? I'm BRAND NEW to this world. I'm not even a novice yet! Thank you! Mark... Encino...
Hey Ben, that UV torch, is it a special kind or will any UV torch work to quick cure? Also does the resin need to be a special resin in order to react with the lamp? Phil
Out of curiosity, why did you choose to use resin and pigment to paint the burl in this project? Is it because the drying time is faster using the UV resin than paint would be? better texture? Or no specific reason? Looks so great! Love the new ideas you come up time!
Sorry if I sound dumb but ine every of this tutorial I see people getting the resin out of the mold do you do something special or not? ( My point is the resin never sticks when you do a mold?) sorry I'm just started to watch videos about resin and dont really understand
Definitely glad you took out most of the music in your new videos. Your new videos are more pleasing and lovely to watch😊
Lovely piece!
excited for the sequel to this video where you embed an RAF fighter in epoxy resin!
Polishing at the highest level. Realy good 👍
Thanks Mate
I think that turned out great!!
Thanks Lorrie 👍
That was an awesome piece of music in this clip at the start.

Wow awesome, I personally would have left the wood unpainted but that's just me. 👍 🇬🇧
Thanks Mate 👍
thats what i thought too
Totally agree with you, a great idea, but it would have made the coin stand out a lot more without the blue paint, it also takes away the beauty of the burl.
I disagree, i like the blue paint more, it is a subtle blue enough to stand out but not enough to upstage
Beautiful work as usual
Thanks Mate
The RAF had some sweet WWII warbirds!
Awesome work Ben 👍👍👍👍👍👍

That's a cool project! The motto is very similar to the motto for my state (Kansas), which is Ad Astra Per Aspera (to the stars through difficulty).
Thanks Kandi
Wow!! Awesome job!! I'm sure the person who sent it to you will be very impressed. I know I am.

Good music to watch by
Another good video!!
Thanks Alan

Great job:
Enjoy watching : keep it up
Love the tunes playing in the background
Thanks Richard
Nice work as always Ben. I am in the process of embedding 4 gold coins in one piece. Hope it works out as good as yours did.
Thanks Mate
Love your work Mr Ben! Only criticism would be choice of colour for the burl piece. I'd have left it natural. But lovely piece none the less!
Thanks Mate, that would have looked cool too
Square was a good choice!
Thanks Mate
Nice Job. Thanks for sharing. ;-)
Thanks Mate
This one is awesome too but design can be different instead of cube shape
If you are laying the coins flat and they have writing on each side and client wants to be able to read them would you first coat them with epoxy then sandwich in the epoxy?
Awesome!!
Thanks Carole
Fantastic
Thanks Mate
How many burls do you want to use on this channel?
Ben: yes
Edits channel name...Ben’s Burls lol
Awesome job Ben. I always enjoy watching the vids of your work. I really like the background music in this particular one. Where can I find it?

What is that block of stuff that you clean the epoxy out of your sandpaper with?
Very impressive result. The RAF veteran will love it, no doubt
Thanks Tom

Phil
What is the music you played during this one. I like it a lot.
I realize this is old now, but how does JR resisns hold up over the long term? Do they yellow a lot?
Out of curiosity, why did you choose to use resin and pigment to paint the burl in this project? Is it because the drying time is faster using the UV resin than paint would be? better texture? Or no specific reason?
Looks so great! Love the new ideas you come up time!
Thanks Christie, yeah faster drying time and i find it helps seal the wood too
@@BensWorx oh gotcha! Makes sense! Thanks for answering!
That was an awesome resin project. How long does it take for the resin to set?
Thanks Patricia, about 4-6hrs
@@BensWorx You're welcome! Thank you very much for letting me.
Hey, do you find you get much shrinkage or bubbling in artcast? You do awesome work!
Thanks Lily, Not really but i do use a Pressure pot
@@BensWorx thanks for the super fast reply!
exelente
Thanks Mate
What was that block thing you used on the sander to clean it off?
It a rubber cleaner
What kind of epoxy did you use? Did you have any heating issues when you did the main pour?
ArtCast by Just Resin, no heat issue
@@BensWorx thanks! Looks great, by the way and it inspired me to make a similar one.
That is amazing. I'd love to hit you up for some USMC stuff soon
What is the bar that you use to clear the sanding disc?
A rubber cleaning block
@@BensWorx Thanks very much for that Ben. Really enjoying yr videos 😆
Belíssimo 😊❤👍👏

is there an australian royal airforce?

Ben's Worx Thank you I'm surprised you where able to understand my bad english
I hope Chris isn't going back to the RAF, or else he'll be buying the first round.
