Great video! I was debating on installing the locker in the rear of my baja rey and after watching your rebuild, I don't see how to install it. Any tips?
Hi! Quick question. Does the black secondary coil that comes with powerstroke fit the to standard baja rey shocks? I was thinking to add that small black coil on the rear of baja rey shocks
Whoa thanks for the great video breakdown! I just had my bearing toward the front of the driveline start to get loose.. the bearing where all the pebbles get logged. You don’t happen to have a video breakdown or a tutorial on how to replace that bearing?? Just ordered a Fast Eddy’s kit and any help would be much appreciated😳
Hey I just bought one of these and I keep blowing my center and rear diff was 3 runs 3 blown center diffs was wondering if I could get some advise love ur builds so nice !!!
Absolutely not normal. What type of battery are you using voltage? What pinion gear are you running? I have bashed mine pretty dang hard and there is no wear on the center diff or any of the gears for that matter. I only use a 11.1 volt battery and run the add on pinion gear included with the kit. If your running 11.1 on the stock pinion that is likely your problem.
@@markarriola4064 Losi included two different pinion gears, the 10t is what I installed and it was in the parts bag. I believe the different pinions are geared differently because the truck shipped is setup to run a 2 cell. Install the 10t pinion and re grease and lube everything and then go send it.
Hi there, i have just bought a baja rey and can't get the drive axle away from the rear axle. I have removed the grub screw but it just won't budge. Am i missing something? Its brand new so don't want to force it just yet. Any help much appreciated.
I think you can do it without any parts. You can install the slave shock in the most rearward mounting points on the lower trailing arms and upper perch. I used a set of aftermarket lower trailing arms in this build. Link for parts are in the description. Thanks for watching.
27.5, I think now I would go down to like a 15 or 20 and run 30 in the sprung shock, got some new videos on shock tuning coming soon, thanks for watching man. peace
Attempting to emulate a full size trick/trophy truck that run dual rear shocks. Someone might know more than me but I believe its to aid in shock fade from oil heat up and some teams run an external bypass behind the coil acting as a slave shock to do this. Long story short it didn't really work that great, I need to test some more before I give up the idea though.... Thanks for watching dude.
Ballistol is not as thick as CLP but penetrates better so I used it to clean the dirty bearings then used CLP for the final lube application because it holds on better than Ballistol.
Your right. I didn't record the testing I did with that setup because of how horribly it handled. You can see I already had the strokes mounted as a slave without springs and it had a hard time maintaining ride height with the springs I had. This video is a rebuild testing how it would handle with springs and it did better than without.

Thanks for watching. Remove your rear diff ring gear. Remove the all the diff gears install the locker then reinstall the ring gear.

I don't think so. Losi just released adjustable spring rates for the baja rey 2.0. You can find them on horizon hobby

I don't, because of the ess one sound unit and cage panels I made I have little to no rocks coming into that area.
This is a great video series that inspired me to get working on my own losi Baja Rey
Thanks, trying to make something cool, thanks for watching

I am running stock pinion and a 3s battery

What kind of bleeder caps are you using if you don’t mind me asking?
Just the stock losi shocks, the bleeders come stock. All the links to the parts are in the description 😎
Nice video. What backup parts should I get and what are the first upgrades do you think i should get?
RCScrewZ, Quality batteries and a charger. Thanks for watching and go have some fun...

A little whack from a soft blow mallet did the trick for me. Seemed like a overcast or extra materiel caused it to be sticky for me too.
Soldier iron is the answer hold for a few seconds when hot . It’s the thread lock is the problem. Just did mine last night actually. Good luck
Would you be able to tell me the inner bore diameter of the Powerstroke shock?
Have no idea, the proline website has all the stats.
I hear the front slaves from the udr fit straight on to the rear and work really well.
I'm going to try it and experiment with different oil.
Such an excellent idea, in fact we are going to test this very soon.
@@DoubleClutchProductions they do fit perfectly, exactly the right length
Pls Share the link for the curie f9 axel that fit on the Baja Rey
Looks like these are getting harder and harder to come by these days. I got this from RPP I think, just googling it turned up discontinued/sold out.
What part did you buy that allowed duel suspension to be installed on the rear? Or was a custom piece you made?

Nice truck and very well done video!
Thanks Michael, I look forward to building the new Raptor Rey I just got.
Why did you install 4 shocks in the rear
Trying to simulate a full size trophy truck.
What shock weight oil did you end up using? I plan on using the same proline shocks.
Long Dong It’s in the description

Thanks @ReaperRcRx
What do yo obtain with 4 rear shocks. Is it better ?
More dampening, simulating real world Baja Trucks that use two shocks per corner.
Tipp: Don't use Ballistol Oil. It tends to get hard and resinous. Know this from old Weapons.
Is that only 4 screws that hold the body??
No just editing...Unfortunately....
12 screws hold the Baja Rey body in place (4 on the chassis, 2 on the front bumper, 2 behind the chassis and 4 on the rear shocks top)
Why a double shock in the rear

DoubleClutchProductions cool thanks for the response
Good upgrades and vell done video!
Thanks buddy. I look forward to finishing the new one
Ballistol is a CLP so you double lubed the bearings. I use Ballistol on CVDs/universals.
Ballistol is not as thick as CLP but penetrates better so I used it to clean the dirty bearings then used CLP for the final lube application because it holds on better than Ballistol.
Nice upgrade
You're supposed to only run one spring shock and one as a damper shock on each side

So it was better with both shocks with springs.....?
What instrumental did you use?
I was looking for a upchurch instrumental and stumbled on this.
Are the losi shocks made out of plastic or aluminium?
Plastic
Plastic body, metal caps and shafts. Thanks for watching
@@DoubleClutchProductions Ahhhh... I remember, two years ago...
Good old times
But thx for answering my question anyway.
That’s a cool truck
Haha!! Someone's an arms enthusiast 😋
2A all day

Very nice!!!!
Thanks, look forward to building the new one.
Nice video. Subbed
Thanks
I want that truck😍
