I received an order from Neiman Marcus a few weeks back that looked like it had been kicked all the way to my house and the givenchy bag inside had a black line thru the red leather. I was completely shocked and it turned me completely off the bag.
It’s really disappointing and unacceptable to find faults like that in such an expensive bag. I don’t dislike it but I don’t find it exciting either. I seriously don’t get the neon straps. I would return it and wait until you can go instore. I watched a series of videos years ago where a lady bought a luxury bag, it was faulty and returned it. This happened with three of the bags and then she gave up on it.

The straps are to keep the bamboo from warping. You can leave them off and just have them on when it’s stored. I like the little belts. I just wished that they matched the bag.
The bag is beautiful I hate the bag has quality issues. I’d send the bag back and get a new one when lock down is over. I like the neon green straps it gives the bag a pop of color 😊

I love it, but not with the bands. I think I'll just hunt for a vintage bag. I think in a lot of brands, the vintage bags were of better quality leather with more quality control.
A vintage Diana owner commented on Cassie S video and I found it very helpful : her bamboo handles with the bamboo Naturally „breathing“ (straightening) over time, the leather parts the bamboo is fixed got stretched and even ripped over time. She says she can see the bamboo needs a „retainer“

Few months ago I ordered a small Gucci bag online. I could not wait to receive the bag. However, there were a few things not perfect about the bag such as the monogram is not aligned on one side, some stitches on leather were out of place. Well, I rushed to Sydney city store (parking costs $50). The SA showed me 3 bags available in the store and I was lucky to pick the perfect bag for exchange. I don’t think I would buy another bag online through Gucci again. I also ordered an LV bag online, received the bag in perfect condition, very happy.
In my experience, Gucci has one of the best customer service. So I’m sure they can find you a flawless piece should you decide to keep the bag. I actually LOVE the bag - this gorgeous cognac color is hard to come by. And it’s one of my favorite leather colors.
The quality issues are unacceptable at that price point.. hopefully you can return it and be able to pick out your own bag soon! Enjoyed your content as usual Isabelle.. stay safe! 💕

The style of the bag is beautiful and the color is too. Go exchange and get in store. I learned the hard way too. I bought a designer bag online and didn't check it right away bc I wasn't home for a week. It had a glue residue inside and I was so busy that time to send back was over a day. Stuck with it. It definitely is frustrating when you pay a high price tag 😒.
Just don’t understand the thought process on the person who packs and sends the bag. Anyone can see its faulty, so why send it? It’s going to come straight back!🤦🏼♀️ Really like the bag though without the weird neon straps. The bamboo handles are lovely and anything Princess Diana would surely be a winner for Gucci??!!
Try getting a replacement shipped out to you, it's really unusual for Gucci to have quality issues like that. It's a beautiful bag and I really like the pop of neon!

Not over reacting at all! Luxury bags can not have those kinds of flaws. Those are obvious! I would order another one and if it doesn’t work, Just wait and pick it out in the store. I would send a Kate spade bag back with a popped stitch so no question on this one. It’s ok, when you go to the store you’ll find another one that’s much better if the online ordering g doesn’t work out. It is gorgeous though (but without the neon strap for me). Enjoy it! And keep us updated as to what you do.

I got the bag last week in the USA and my bag was and is perfect..... I know things like this happen but for the price I would think the person shipping the bag would go over it to make shure it was perfect . Enjoy your bag when you get that perfect one !

When I ordered my white Gucci Marmont a few years ago, the one that came in the mail was wrinkled and more slouchy on one side. I returned it and checked two different stores and was not able to find one without obvious flaws. I was eventually able to find one in perfect condition while on vacation. It really does take time to find one without flaws, because by then, Gucci already had a price increase. I hope you can find a perfect one even if it may take some time.
Honestly I feel like so many designers these days have quality issues. Louis Vuitton and Chanel especially.. I’ve seen puckering at seams for both brands, uneven stitching, and even zippers that don’t open/close smoothly!! It’s ridiculous for such high end designers!

I work at oroton and even though the price point is a lot lower, people still want it perfect which is absolutely understandable. The bag is beautiful and very classic looking! You should also update us on how Gucci goes about it as well! I’ve had a lot of product quality issues when i bought my t-shirt, dionysus bag and shoes at the Sydney boutique and every time i took something back because of stitching issues or etc, they weren’t too happy so I don’t buy from Gucci anymore 😅😅. The bag is stunning. It's so you and the color speaks for itself. However with the discolored patch and popped stitch. I would definitely return the handbag and go in store to purchase the handbag.
The rich cognac color is stunning. I prefer this darker color, it is very classic and will go with many styles. I am not a big Gucci fan, but this bag I really like. It is classic and professional. It is awful that flaws are found 😒 and at this price point….very disappointing. This is a style I would go for because it’s timeless ( in my humble opinion lol) and when you pay this hefty price…you want your cost-per-wear. 💕

Oh no! I'm seeing this kind of thing consistently across luxury brands! Dior and Saint Laurent seem to be better than most. I've had great luck with Gucci and wouldn't have expected to see what you're seeing on this bag. I would exchange it for another one now unless you think another round of issues is going to ruin your love for the bag. If it will, sit tight until you can look at them in person and have a bit more control over what bag you get. Keep us posted! It's a lovely bag!

Oh, I was so excited to see this video 🤗 This is the exact size and color I want! I went to the store to see in person, but they did not have any 😫 to see. I think the neon bands are cute to use, just would take them off while wearing to work (too loud for work setting for me). I would also exchange that one immediately! Not acceptable for any price! I also had my eye on the green emerald color it is stunning, but not sure it would match with my wardrobe. I hope you can get another one to replace it very soon! 🥰
What a gorgeous bag, and I kinda like the neon pieces for that funky look. Love they are interchangeable as well, and definitely that bag has to go back. I would definitely send it back and wait when lockdown is over so that you can go in the boutique and inspect in person. That bag is too expensive to be dealing with return after return. I never order anything over $2,000 USD online because of this exact issue you’re dealing with. I like to be able to choose which bag I want after inspection in the boutique. TFS
This is beautiful but I don't understand the leather strap on the handle. I just picked up a Bamboo Convertible Satchel and I'm sooooo glad I did. The bamboo handles are coming back!!

I had an issue with a prada galleria bag I bought a couple of years ago from farfetch. There were scratches all over the bag! I returned the bag right away. So disapointing I've given up buying another prada bag since. Hope you find a flawless gucci Diana bag after lockdown. ^^

Such a beautiful bag, but it definitely must go back. I’m really annoyed about all the QC issues that have been occurring. I don’t find popped stitches and glue marks acceptable on bags that are over a few hundred dollars. If it’s not acceptable on a Coach bag then it’s definitely not acceptable on any bag that is ten times the price. I do think the amount of goods moved to online has contributed. I’d say half of my purchases this year from luxury houses have had QC issues.

I love everything about this bag but the neon straps make it look cheap to me, I would never carry it w/ them on! If the bag was a neon color w/ a complimentary neon strap color that would make sense to me. But a neutral w/ a neon is such a clash. Plus just it looks like a headband on your handles, doesn’t look like its supposed to be there.
I’ve notice many luxury brands have a quality issues nowadays, which is very sad as the prices are going up and quality- down 😢😢 I thought I’m the only one freak who inspects the bags so much and if there’s small defect would return it
Great example of quality! Even Hermes has had quality issues. One RUclipsr I watch got a gold Birkin and it had cracking on the locking leather piece… brand new out of the box. Definitely will always happen, no matter the brand. Just inspect your new purchase extremely well :)

This is a beautiful classy bag, I was definitely considering one, & still would consider one if I have a need for a bag like this when I have finished editing my wardrobe. I completely agree, you definitely need to return it, I hope you either get to pick your piece or you get sent a new perfect one. Popped stitches are never okay on anything worth more than a few dollars, for over $4,000AUD it needs to be flawless, this bag should never have even left the factory, what were they thinking? The first mark you showed could eventually be a colour dot; I had this with my very first purchase from Strathberry (had other purchases from the brand afterwards, never happened again, but if I'm honest, yes, it bothers me); the popped stitch is a no-go.
If you don't use a handbag, I recommend you to contact the store quickly and exchange it. You love Gucci Diana handbag design so much and you'll continue to use it, but you won't be happy whenever you use it if you already know two problems. So I recommend you to contact the store for help.
Another Sydney-sider here...it's so hard to buy a designer bag in Lockdown. I love the new Diana bag and am eyeing it in the mini-size in pink. However I have a Gucci Padlock tote shoulder bag and I feel that these bags have similar vibes!

NIce bag but for me personally the neon green handle band would not be my cup of tea. Can you choose the colour band yourself? The red band looked good to me. The quality issues with many high end bags gets lots of news lately, for the price you paid I would not accept ANY FLAWS if I was buying the bag! Wait until lock down or have the shop send you a replacment that has been checked top to bottom by the manager if you can't wait to get your hands on the bag!! Good luck and stand your ground!!!
I’d honestly recommend waiting. It is so much of a hassle sometimes to return something especially something of that caliber so why do it more than once.
I think this is a beautiful bag especially with the handles and in the beautiful tan colour. Of course at this price point we deserve perfection. So sad you have to return it and I understand how it takes the joy from something you were looking forward to. I would be hesitant to be sent another one. I wouldn’t want to have to send another back. It’s sad how these brands quality have been decreasing. Prices are rising but the quality is getting worse. one thing i fear with online shopping for luxury items is getting flaws with my bag. luxury items i would want to just buy in store. lol then when i bought my first gucci bag, the display item had a fold in the strap and flap because too many people tried it on... but the one they gave me was perfect. thanks for the video about the diana i was really curious about it

The Gucci website says the neon bands are "the bands used to keep handles in shape." Doesn't mean you need to keep them on when in use.

When I ordered my white Gucci Marmont a few years ago, the one that came in the mail was wrinkled and more slouchy on one side. I returned it and checked two different stores and was not able to find one without obvious flaws. I was eventually able to find one in perfect condition while on vacation. It really does take time to find one without flaws, because by then, Gucci already had a price increase. I hope you can find a perfect one even if it may take some time.
Honestly I feel like so many designers these days have quality issues. Louis Vuitton and Chanel especially..
I’ve seen puckering at seams for both brands, uneven stitching, and even zippers that don’t open/close smoothly!!
It’s ridiculous for such high end designers!
Quality of the Zipper are really noticeable, they stop buying the YYK zipper , that’s why
Girl i am so sorry this has happened to you! My verdict is take it back! I know the lockdown has extended till July 30th so if you can wait till then (which is only a couple of weeks), i am sure you can exchange it and inspect the new bag yourself!!

Hey Isabelle! Im from Sydney and i think you should definitely take it back! I work at oroton and even though the price point is a lot lower, people still want it perfect which is absolutely understandable.
The bag is beautiful and very classic looking! You should also update us on how Gucci goes about it as well! I’ve had a lot of product quality issues when i bought my t-shirt, dionysus bag and shoes at the Sydney boutique and every time i took something back because of stitching issues or etc, they weren’t too happy so I don’t buy from Gucci anymore 😅😅. The bag is stunning. It's so you and the color speaks for itself. However with the discolored patch and popped stitch. I would definitely return the handbag and go in store to purchase the handbag.

The rich cognac color is stunning. I prefer this darker color, it is very classic and will go with many styles. I am not a big Gucci fan, but this bag I really like. It is classic and professional. It is awful that flaws are found 😒 and at this price point….very disappointing. This is a style I would go for because it’s timeless ( in my humble opinion lol) and when you pay this hefty price…you want your cost-per-wear. 💕

Those are issues that really require you to return it. I agree with you on going to get the replacement in person to inspect it in person.
Oh no! I'm seeing this kind of thing consistently across luxury brands! Dior and Saint Laurent seem to be better than most. I've had great luck with Gucci and wouldn't have expected to see what you're seeing on this bag. I would exchange it for another one now unless you think another round of issues is going to ruin your love for the bag. If it will, sit tight until you can look at them in person and have a bit more control over what bag you get. Keep us posted! It's a lovely bag!
It kinda looks like a Michael Kors bag with bamboo handles. I feel like I could for sure see Tory Burch making something like that.
Bamboo handles have always been a Gucci thing though.
Gucci did it first, the others copied the aesthetic and now Gucci’s is reissuing with bamboo handles have long since been a Gucci staple.

Oh, I was so excited to see this video 🤗 This is the exact size and color I want! I went to the store to see in person, but they did not have any 😫 to see. I think the neon bands are cute to use, just would take them off while wearing to work (too loud for work setting for me). I would also exchange that one immediately! Not acceptable for any price! I also had my eye on the green emerald color it is stunning, but not sure it would match with my wardrobe. I hope you can get another one to replace it very soon! 🥰
What a gorgeous bag, and I kinda like the neon pieces for that funky look. Love they are interchangeable as well, and definitely that bag has to go back. I would definitely send it back and wait when lockdown is over so that you can go in the boutique and inspect in person. That bag is too expensive to be dealing with return after return. I never order anything over $2,000 USD online because of this exact issue you’re dealing with. I like to be able to choose which bag I want after inspection in the boutique. TFS

This is beautiful but I don't understand the leather strap on the handle. I just picked up a Bamboo Convertible Satchel and I'm sooooo glad I did. The bamboo handles are coming back!!

I had an issue with a prada galleria bag I bought a couple of years ago from farfetch. There were scratches all over the bag! I returned the bag right away. So disapointing I've given up buying another prada bag since. Hope you find a flawless gucci Diana bag after lockdown. ^^

Such a beautiful bag, but it definitely must go back. I’m really annoyed about all the QC issues that have been occurring. I don’t find popped stitches and glue marks acceptable on bags that are over a few hundred dollars. If it’s not acceptable on a Coach bag then it’s definitely not acceptable on any bag that is ten times the price. I do think the amount of goods moved to online has contributed. I’d say half of my purchases this year from luxury houses have had QC issues.

I love everything about this bag but the neon straps make it look cheap to me, I would never carry it w/ them on! If the bag was a neon color w/ a complimentary neon strap color that would make sense to me. But a neutral w/ a neon is such a clash. Plus just it looks like a headband on your handles, doesn’t look like its supposed to be there.

Great example of quality! Even Hermes has had quality issues. One RUclipsr I watch got a gold Birkin and it had cracking on the locking leather piece… brand new out of the box. Definitely will always happen, no matter the brand. Just inspect your new purchase extremely well :)

Popped stitches are never okay on anything worth more than a few dollars, for over $4,000AUD it needs to be flawless, this bag should never have even left the factory, what were they thinking?

I ordered the custom straps for that bag and they weren't stamped properly either. I've been trying to deal with customer service with no luck.
The first mark you showed could eventually be a colour dot; I had this with my very first purchase from Strathberry (had other purchases from the brand afterwards, never happened again, but if I'm honest, yes, it bothers me); the popped stitch is a no-go.
For the price, you are well within your right to ask for a replacement. Don’t feel bad Isabelle!

If you don't use a handbag, I recommend you to contact the store quickly and exchange it. You love Gucci Diana handbag design so much and you'll continue to use it, but you won't be happy whenever you use it if you already know two problems. So I recommend you to contact the store for help.

NIce bag but for me personally the neon green handle band would not be my cup of tea. Can you choose the colour band yourself? The red band looked good to me. The quality issues with many high end bags gets lots of news lately, for the price you paid I would not accept ANY FLAWS if I was buying the bag! Wait until lock down or have the shop send you a replacment that has been checked top to bottom by the manager if you can't wait to get your hands on the bag!! Good luck and stand your ground!!!
I’d honestly recommend waiting. It is so much of a hassle sometimes to return something especially something of that caliber so why do it more than once.
I think this is a beautiful bag especially with the handles and in the beautiful tan colour. Of course at this price point we deserve perfection. So sad you have to return it and I understand how it takes the joy from something you were looking forward to. I would be hesitant to be sent another one. I wouldn’t want to have to send another back. It’s sad how these brands quality have been decreasing. Prices are rising but the quality is getting worse. one thing i fear with online shopping for luxury items is getting flaws with my bag. luxury items i would want to just buy in store. lol then when i bought my first gucci bag, the display item had a fold in the strap and flap because too many people tried it on... but the one they gave me was perfect. thanks for the video about the diana i was really curious about it
