Owned my ln106 since new 1992 model and 360k. Recently started it after 2 years of sitting and it fired up straight away and before I even waited for the glow light to disappear….
You must be proud of that! I’ve owned my n70 for just 10 years and I’m proud of that 😅Can’t fault the ln’s reliability!
is your engine original? Does it cope well with such wheels?
Yeah standard 3L, it’s got a cheap turbo kit fitted which helps a little. Still very slow and underpowered

Awesome video brother, I love your Hilux, what a sweet Rig , I have a first gen Tacoma S.A.Swap, I'm watching the video and I noticed, I'm pretty sure the only part the Japanese Hilux and my American Tacoma share is the Door Handles, before I bought my Taco 🌮 I thought it was a Japanese Truck 🛻 but then I found out, It's made here, always thought they were the same, but the only thing I can see is Door Handles 😅 So much for owning a Japanese Truck 🛻 , Great Videos brother, keep up the good work
Cheers man! Solid axle Taco would be wicked! I’m pretty sure the last Hiluxs that where made in Japan where the N60 from 1997-2004 unfortunately. Then I believe it was Thailand that took the bulk of manufacturing
@@HaydnKamp I didn't know that and I'm sorry to hear it , Thailand WTF? I believe El Paso Texas and Baja California for my Pickup, I have to run the VIN , but even the metal is from here, Dam Toyota, Thailand? But on another note, I ended up putting a crazy Dana 30HP with Dana 44 Full Size Jeep outers and 1/2 inch thick fully sleeved housing, Chromo Axle Shafts, Warn Hubs and 6 lug , Ruff Stuff 3/4 Heim Joint steering, PSC Ram 🐏 Assist , locker etc , just did a Detroit Tru Trac in the factory Toyota rear , and replaced the factory tin cover with a Barnes Weld on Diff Cover, Nice! Highly Recommend , she's a 2.7 4 banger and I plan on a Turbo next, truck 🛻 drives and wheels Awesome! Couldn't be more happy, please check her out @frankrubicon_ and my RUclips channel, please, let me know what you think? I'd appreciate it, and she will be getting a Aussie Style Flatbed like your Amazing Yota in the future, Definitely!
Hi Guys i need your help i have a pony hilux 1996 and on the clock it has done 460000 ks and according to previous owner engine was rebuilt around 350000 k’s but i he didn’t provide any reciepts and it is hard to believe now i want to get turbo my beast, any suggestions what turbo or turbo with intercooler i should go with? Also is there any risk as i have heard many stories about engine failure. Thanks in advance. Best regards

What’s a basic mod rundown on the gu? Lockers, reduction gears?
Shimmed LSD rear, front auto locker, 35’s beadlocks, transfer case reduction gears, larger fuel pump and turbo with a fancy intake manifold and a custom fmic and well setup suspension. It’s also got sheepskin seat covers

33x12.5 r15’s, 2-3inch over standard height and running ruf
Do u have reduction gears in the lux?
Sure do, trailgear 4.7’s. One of the top mods I’ve done to it 👌🏼

@@benwinter2420 Drove that track a few years ago and watched it get driven but didn't have a car anywhere near that capable to attempt it. Always wanted to go back and drive it since that day.
