The Mires Project

The Mires in the Moors Project is a partnership between the Environment Agency, Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, Natural England, South West Water and others. It aims to restore peat bogs on the moors. This has many benefits including providing a carbon sink, improving water quality and biodiversity.
