Once every week, I visit a new local food place and add that to my culinary experience. Not often though do I get to taste such home-style, rustic, pure food!
Sharayu Restaurant is a new addition for foodies in Pune, who are on a constant lookout for places that are valued for their money.

The mother and daughter duo that run this restaurant were such friendly and amazing hosts that I will remember them for life!
This restaurant mainly specialises in Satara style red hot gravy preparations of chicken and mutton Thali. They have added a Kolhapuri touch to it by including the Tambda and Pandhra Rasaa too.
We started this delicious meal by a fried pomfret, which is hands down one of the best fried-fish that I have had outside of the home. The fish was fresh, large in size and so well marinated! The special mixture of semolina and Malwani Masala in which it was dredged before frying, truly made for a flavourful experience.
Then we moved on to the next, Malwani seafood options of sode and sukat. The dry gravy of sukat was extraordinarily tasty. The tiny dehydrated shrimps are flavour bombs! The soda batata kalwan was yet another curry that I literally could not stop myself from slurping on.
All of this was accompanied, of course, by a rice flour bhakri.
The restaurant owners bring their own supply of Indrayani rice from their family farm. The rice is slightly stickier than the other varieties that we get in India and very aromatic and flavourful. The dried prawns and soft boiled potato mixed with this rice held so much flavour!
We were then served their chicken and mutton Thali. The chicken sukka was my favourite among all! The mutton Kalwan was milder and soothing. The goat was slowcooked to perfection. I enjoyed all of those meaty gravies with Kombdi Wade and Jowar Bhakri. We washed every thing down with their delicious sweet and hot Solkadhi.
The prices of all that we ate are as follows:
1. Fried Pomfret - Rs. 440 / As Per Cost
2. Sukat - Rs. 130
3. Soda batata kalwan - Rs. 190
4. Soda Bhat - Rs. 190
5. Komdi wade - Rs. 120
6. Mutton thali - Rs. 390
7. Chicken thali - Rs. 330

Restaurant's ambient is very good. Your explanation is also excellent. You explaination of each dish is very interesting only you tell us the price of each dish which is important for the viewers who has to pay for dish so he will decide what to do.
