Watched this last night. Mike! Ur the best. This was half hour of absolute comedy. Not for u of course but for me. And I love Blair in the background watching and laughing. Love this channel. Love u guys as well.
As a 30yr diesel mechanic veteran up here in northern Ontario 🇨🇦.. I feel your pain., Sometimes the simplest job can take hours .. Glad to see you sticking with it Mike Cheers from HudsonBay
Holy fuck best episode yet!!! Lmao Blair is PRICELESS! LMAO on another note I feel your pain as a mechanic the simplest thing can take three guys hours for something that should have took 3 minutes it happens to the best of us
Just did this same frame swap last year.....i used an air hammer with a center point punch....worked great....swapped a 70 skylark convertible frame into my chevelle....its like dejavue...lol
I was screaming air hammer!!! I also have a homemade slide hammer that's internally threaded on the business end. Every time I make a new tool for it, I just weld it to a bolt with the same size thread...ez pz! Nice 68 vert BTW
@Red_White_andFU its painful to watch this...the bolt rusts into the inner sleeve...I instantly grabbed my air hammer, and bit....my chevelle frame is now under my Skylark...and vice versa...I have a real legit SS chevelle with factory 4 speed...I wanted the best GM frame under it.
@gmpurist6745 oh I've been there I'm a die hard chevelle el Camino guy...i cut Mike some slack because he's a Mopar guy 😄...I'm like how does he not know ? there's a steel bushing in every rubber isolator I've ever seen, haha...I'm trying to get back into cars again... gonna go visit Mike one day and introduce myself, trade some work for good stories 😆
@Red_White_andFU it's nice to have a hobby...im a 6x Red Seal Journeyman in various mechanical disciplines and have for over 40 yrs now had many assorted GM muscle cars. The A body's are my favorites, with the 67-72 GM trucks also close to my heart. It's hard to see the struggles of others, especially when you've been there and learned hard lessons that could save others alot of anguish. But, Rust Bros is part of the entertainment industry now, and it's viewership over rides practical reasoning sometimes.
Mike you need to cut both sides of the bolt inside the encapsulating bracket. The inner bushing is seized on the bolt.Take a recipricating saw or a mini grinder with a cut off disc and cut the bolt inside the surfaces encompasing it.think of a control arm bushing as a tube vulcanized with rubber in a tube. The bold is the problem that is frozen inside the inner bushing. Carbide frosted blades.
Show them how much you appreciate the work of Mike, Blair, and the rest by hitting the 👍. Mike, you might want to invest in an electric ratchet, you are getting older and the builds would be easier and faster. You would be more productive and have the write off for taxes.
The comments are just as funny as this episode! Removing tension is what really helps bolts come out! Even a novice that’s actually worked on cars knows that!
Good afternoon my friends on the west coast and I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and thank you for all the videos and not editing out the bad parts or the mistake because it shows user just like the average person
You canadiens are crazy avery laugh makes me think on the penguin in batman .and the other caracter makes me think about Laurent and Hardy and Mike you remind me of woodstock but you guys are à riot to watch keep it up
I don’t care what you say, but them Canadians. They are the best bunch of guys around and Avery’s laugh is a little much sometimes, but that man knows more about cars engines, guns everything he is one smart dude and we love them Canadians or proud of them world would be a better place if we had more like Mike, Matt, Avery, Blair, Connor, Jf Cassidy, big Dom they’re just all a bunch of nice guys and we love them
Hi guys, Sam from Halifax like Mike says I do concur. This was a really good episode. It’s just weird it feels like we’re there with you lol Matt you got to take care of that Facebook troll shut that shit down. I don’t know how that works if they can make money stealing your shit or not I don’t know, but you guys got enough fans to do something about this troll OK be safe and take care guys
I fought with so many bushing collars its unreal, glad your still in the game Mike!!! Canadian's keeping it real. In New Brunswick salted roads destroy cars fast especially new ones.
Blair drives the bolt out. Mike impact drives it back in. Blair drives it back out. Mike impact drives it back in. Blair..... It was like watching the Canadian Laurel and Hardy! No wonder Blair wears the derby!!
You live in a gorgeous place my friend, Only seen it on television but my goodness its a beautiful Island with tons huge trees and Gorgeous Wildlife!!!! Would love to visit it someday!!!!
I have been a diesel mechanic 30 plus years I feel your pain I usually slide a ring spanner over the head of the bolt put the rattle gun back on it and lever whilst rattling
Hi entertaining as usual its the bush inside the rubber stuck to the bolt you really want a short bi metal blade and cut slowly with pressure and cutting lube and cut both sides they are a really pain sometimes you can press them out good quote from supernatural 👍
That's what I always say don't put your eggs in one basket bc even the simplest work can take hours that happened to me when I was working on my old Mercedes haha took up the whole afternoon and night and I feel your pain Mike sometimes bolts are disigned to be pain in the ass.
BLAIR was having a great time witnessing the carnage in the background. He kept laughing and saying SAWS ALL. Why interrupt a massive, toxic, rubber fire when you can just saw a bolt in half!! Hilarious!!! Bravo Blair.
The problem you are having the saw saw blade is grabing on the rubber bushing .I cut some body mounts on my trunk it took 20 minutes on 1 bolt.Have fun you got the other side to go yet.😅😅
This is the side of restoring/repairing cars the fancy shows never show, its more real than the reality shows.
A floor jack might have saved you some grief but was I’m no mechanic. You guys are quiet a laugh for my day.

That bolt extraction was tough to watch. Someone buy this man an air hammer
He’s got one for sure, he just can’t find it!
Its tough to watch. Occasionally you have to stop and clean up. Not only are you more productive you enjoy your work more.@jamtv99
Blair has some wizardry. Sometimes Mike can be so hardheaded. Blair has a lot of experience.
I'm so happy with these videos everyday I have some good stuff to watch thanks alot matt, Mike,Blair keep it up
Blair is hilarious just sits back and gets paid laughing at the boss.
Holy fuck best episode yet!!! Lmao Blair is PRICELESS! LMAO on another note I feel your pain as a mechanic the simplest thing can take three guys hours for something that should have took 3 minutes it happens to the best of us

Somthing about sharing food after a job well done makes it so much better
The best laugh i had all week!!!
I’m thinking that you should maybe just go to bed and get some sleep ! Because this is what you’re making me do Michael !!! Never give up !!!

Thanks Mike for being such a comedian
Tv will never show you, that the 90% of the work on restoring cars consist cursing on rusted bolts every day.
Nothing like an organized shop and fine eating 👍👍
The comments are just as funny as this episode! Removing tension is what really helps bolts come out! Even a novice that’s actually worked on cars knows that!
All I can say is WOW!
Its a good thing Mike isn't paid by the hour!!!😊
Hey Matt, I like these longer videos on y’all’s projects. I wish Mike would get that beautiful 67 Camaro running and painted.
We need more bolt footage. Roll that beautiful bolt footage Matt.
Good afternoon my friends on the west coast and I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend and thank you for all the videos and not editing out the bad parts or the mistake because it shows user just like the average person

Keep the good work up, Ernane. From Brasil
I fought with so many bushing collars its unreal, glad your still in the game Mike!!! Canadian's keeping it real. In New Brunswick salted roads destroy cars fast especially new ones.
Hello from Six Nations Ontario Canada
Yapyap y'all from Albion Pennsylvania have a wonderful day
This was the best episode ever
Hi Mike, I love watching you and Blair work. It looked like a lot if fun. Take care.
Blair drives the bolt out. Mike impact drives it back in. Blair drives it back out. Mike impact drives it back in. Blair.....
It was like watching the Canadian Laurel and Hardy! No wonder Blair wears the derby!!
Chuck Barris would have been proud!!!
Glad to see you guys on a project again Blair getting big laugh. Matt I thought didn’t smoke rubber lolol
This episode had me yelling at the TV! Everything they struggled with was because it was still under tension from the suspension. Come on eh!
Bingo
Epic video
Love from Greece guys 🇬🇷🇨🇦✌️💯💯
Mike you guys make my day! 🎉
Much love From Pei Canada🇨🇦
You live in a gorgeous place my friend, Only seen it on television but my goodness its a beautiful Island with tons huge trees and Gorgeous Wildlife!!!! Would love to visit it someday!!!!
That frame is real good shape for the year.
Air chisel is the secret on a rusty bolt
the wonders of team work all and all well done
Great content 20mins on bolt some of them can be a real pain in the a,,s but you get there mike
Great Job Lads well done
I think it's an old saying and it's been said before but it still applies. "Can't be tight if it's liquid!"
We were wondering where you get parts for the old cars?
This is 100% real life in a shop, spend 3 hours removing one bolt🤣 story of my life
Hahahaha yeah only to get pissed off and cut the control arm into and buy the good stuff 😂
@@Mark-um7ey extra what I commented afterwards 🤣 woulda ended up with the grinder and cutting wheel. Fuck that control arm
@@Reality.Watches hahahaha exactly. I would have turned it into liquid with the torch 😂
Not in a profitable shop, lmao
Absolutely why does it always have to be so tough 😅
Awesome work guys
GOOD JOB BOYZ
I like your video of work on cars
1:00:00 Slip a box end crescent over the head of the bolt and use it instead of the screwdriver or prybar to push it out while spinning it.
Awesome video 👍👍👍👍
Mike, you missed an opportunity to see Shop STUFFF shine! Should have used it. Would have made easy work of that.
I tell you what you guys made my Sunday.😂😎
Glad to see he has the same luck working on vehicles as me .none.bolt is stuck in the bushing.
I absolutely love mike!!
Love your videos s makes me feel like I can achieve anything lol, Billy is funny lol
Blair looks high af lol
I have been a diesel mechanic 30 plus years I feel your pain
I usually slide a ring spanner over the head of the bolt put the rattle gun back on it and lever whilst rattling
Keep the good work up Mike

The struggle is real 😮
That's what I always say don't put your eggs in one basket bc even the simplest work can take hours that happened to me when I was working on my old Mercedes haha took up the whole afternoon and night and I feel your pain Mike sometimes bolts are disigned to be pain in the ass.
This is the sort of stuff that people don't realise how hard it is to restore old cars .
BLAIR was having a great time witnessing the carnage in the background. He kept laughing and saying SAWS ALL. Why interrupt a massive, toxic, rubber fire when you can just saw a bolt in half!! Hilarious!!! Bravo Blair.
Mike using the saw and the blade looked like a wet noodle 🤣🤣🤣
Much love from Boston Massachusetts
Blair another raise
Surprised nobody was seriously injured making this video 😂😂
The frustration is real. lol 😂. Give Mike a bigger hammer 🔨. I would have used an air hammer. Another great video mike.
Is it getting tension from the suspension 😊
Vice grips under the head of the bolt then hit it with the prybar.
Yup those are a SOB when the sleeve is rust coroded to the bolt , a few days of rust inhibitor/ tranny fluid soaking helps most of the time
Are you ever going to show you and Conner blowing up mountains and climbing ? That would be some cool stuff to see
This episode should be named the bolt that could! Lol
Funniest episode ever. Loved it.
Poor Matt he breathe in dangerous smoke, so Mike cant get a bolt out..Blair is always cool as cucumber dealing with Mike...
I saw a cheap '68 Skylark the other day. Tempting...
Hi Mike, Do you still sell merch ? If so, where and how ? Thanks
Isn't the spring under a load until you disconnect the ball joints?
What a couple shoemakers
mike is just a cool dude
you guys awesome HIGH From Gate City Virginia
Never seen sawsaw blade dance like that before😂
Stay tuned for part 7, Mike gets the bay totally engulfed by torchlight!!
What are the three things fire needs to burn again?
At this point I see how far I could drill and dipple the end of the bolt, and give it the air chisel with the pointed bit to shake it out if possible?
I have a 1971 Buick skylark custom convertible
I can’t help but remember how stubborn my mother is compared to those bolts.
Lmfao Mike your the best Blair make sure that blade is on 😂😂
CHEECH AND CHONG all over again 🤙🤙🤙🤙🦘🦘
I use vise grips to hold the chisel
nice love what your fashion mike
The problem you are having the saw saw blade is grabing on the rubber bushing .I cut some body mounts on my trunk it took 20 minutes on 1 bolt.Have fun you got the other side to go yet.😅😅
Stunning
A wise old man showed me that vise grips on a punch saves the hands. Why didn’t I think of that.😂
Take a sawzall and cut that bolt into and then you can drive it out of the rear end arm after you cut it into on both sides with the reciprocating saw
That bolt is more stubborn! Than any young lady! That I've spent time with! Haha 😁
Also Avery will show up soon now the baskets opened
Put the jack under the control arm take the weight off it
Get Bill some safety glasses! Cant reverse losing an eye! 😢
You know you can smell the rubber burning thru your screen😂
I think we need DONNY up there working the punch and hammer. With a promissory note worth one free buffet upon bolt removal.
Hi mike, you got another one written here from Brazil 🇧🇷
