@EA-18G_Sky_Eyeno, it's a spanish high speed train which derailed on a sharp curve at 191 kph (119 mph), and caused the death of over 80 people. The curve didn't had european train safety systems that could have prevented the accident.
12:13 For the record, the guy who was filming this clip is now under arrest for deliberately causing that collision. He changed a switch to send a train into an occupied siding and filmed the resulting collision in an effort to gain RUclips notoriety.
@@vcommandarv5916 I don't think so. If you watch on slowest playback speed, you can clearly see the leg and foot of the baby upside down as it is thrown from the pushchair.
Fun fact... The Trainsystem at 14:18 is ~120 years old (the trains itself and the safetysystems of course not) but the line itself? VERY old. And this trainline itself is one of a kind in germany... there are 2 other similar (ish) systems in Germany but the one in Wuppertal? One of a kind.
The derailment at 12:13 was in Nebraska and caused by none other than the 17 year old kid behind the camera. He threw the switch and filmed for RUclips as the train went down a side track with an immoble coal car on it, causing a derailment. Luckily no one was injured.
Back in 1999 we had a big rain fall in So Cal Hawthorne CA. I was coming home from work around 2 in the morning and came to a Train track with the arms down and lights on. that track always looked shady to me so I told myself to stop farther away incase it derails and sure as shit. it derailed right in front of me. nothing crazy but remember the sound of the cars thumping together . then the conductor came down and was accessing the situation. Crazy . 😱😱
The clip where the driver ran down the train warning people to brace for impact was on a line local to me. The train was on a branch line between Marks Tey and Sudbury. The lorry was crossing an unmanned crossing taking bags of salt to a water pumping station and the driver failed to stop and phone the signal box to make sure the line was clear.
ummm... no? this was in Poland. this happened on Koleje Wielkopolskie in Poland in 2016. the train drivers name was Mateusz Szymański. Update. the Truck was also transporting wood not salt. the train in question was also a Polish SA132-003.
Let me put your mind at ease - this incident happened locally to me, back in 2017. It was at Nuneaton station in England, and I can confirm that no children were harmed. :) It was empty, even though the items in the chair resemble a child on the CCTV. Plenty of news articles about it if you want further reassurance.
some of these derailments happened on shortlines, which are tiny railroad companies using aged track, and they can't really afford extreme maintenance to rebuild these lines.
After seeing numerous derailment videos over the years, I now tend to leave a car length or two between my vehicle and railroad crossing gates when waiting for a train to pass.
acutally the track was set on fire by the heat (if i remember correctly) old wood tracks used "creosote" wich it's purpose was the to preserve the wood from decay insects and water damage but a simple thing makes it highly flammable even more than wood itself
8:00 These were tests of a thrust device in a dead-end station, not trains. They took the most rusty and broken old cars, one car from a long-distance train and several electric cars. The head carriage of the electric train was formed purely by chance, and by the way, what is interesting is that this carriage of the electric train ER2, made in Riga. Аnd yes, by the way, greetings from Russia, a great and interesting video!

3:20 The woman standing next to her didn't even 000.01% try to help, her own child was cradled in her lap. He did not think to help another mother like me
The black train at the time 2:10 had a run away. Meaning the engine started to run very very hot causing it to pull more fuel then required to run so the engine would continue to "Run away" till it self destructs. The only way to stop it is to block the air intake. If you see a run away diesel. Call 911 immediately if you can not access the intake. These are very dangerous and can cause death if not stopped immediately.

The train station bump stop successfully met the test criteria, but the passenger car's structural integrity failed. This failure could occur if the train braked excessively hard. It is probable that the cars, being old and selected for testing, had corroded main support beams which collapsed due to deterioration over time, failing completely during the test as observed...
At 10:39, you say, "The train was supposed to stop but didn't, ..." WHY was the TRAIN supposed to stop? Those crossing arms are to stop the road vehicles, to allow the train unencumbered passage.
I like how the railway worker in the thumbnail, which is clearly edited, is running towards the derailing high-speed train. lmao

The red steam loco is used in England and it had to keep up with modern traffic to keep riding the tracks. Its still operational today.
Many of those steam locos were as fast if not faster than modern trains. Just a LOT more work plus they need regular stops for coal and water!
