    • @richardtherichard26
      @richardtherichard26 Год назад +2

      I don’t think it’ll ever happen tbh. For all intents and purposes it took a perfect storm for 33-0 to happen. If the Vikings don’t have a 1st year hc they don’t trail that much. If the colts don’t have an interim unqualified hc they don’t blow that lead. A blocked punt td a pick 6 and a Vikings td that was taken away in the 1st half all also combined to create that moment. Teams in the nfl are simply too good to give up leads that big. That’s why it only happens once in a blue moon. The Vikings colts game was an anomaly the likes of which well probably never witness again. And it took a conglomeration of errors by both teams AND the officials in order to happen

    Once they have a Pick Six to put the game seemingly out of reach, the team that's ahead just.... turns off. For good. It's like a football version of Power Saving Mode.

    The 2022 vikings comeback was the largest, but it definitely is NOT the greatest because it was a regular season game and the vikings weren't going to win the SuperBowl.
    There's an argument to be made for bills vs oilers because it was the biggest comeback ever in the playoffs, but I'm going with Superbowl 51. Yes the comeback was only 28-3 instead of 35-3, but they did it in less time and it was the SuperBowl, not the Wild Card.

    That game of Vikings vs Bills in week 10 of 2022 should be in one these too, that was nothing short of a miracle of a comeback, even more so than the game vs. the Colts imo.

      33pts comeback against the colts vs a 17pts comeback against the bills ...
      they were down almost twice the points compared to the bills game, they were robbed of two of their td's and still they managed to win that game ...
      come on man, you can't be serious rating that week10 game over the most historical comeback ever.
      that vikings bills game was fun to watch - even for a lions fan - but there's a reason this game doesn't belong to the list at all.

    39:31 No one who quarterbacked the Oilers' collapse in this game deserves to be in the NFL Hall of Fame. The Hall of Shame, Warren Moon, is more appropriate.

    I don't understand. I thought Eli Manning and Michael Vick retired from football years ago.
    How did they get them to play one more game? Are they still on the teams or was it just a one time thing?

    What is it with sports footage from the late 90's to early 2000's that is causing it to degrade so bad? It didn't look this bad 20 years ago when this stuff was on tv. And stuff from the rest of the 90's and even the later parts of the 80's doesn't look as bad. Hell, at this rate in 20 more years some of the footage from that era of like 1997-2004 will be practically unwatchable.

    SB 51:
    My best friend was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer just 4 months before that game. He was only 53. And he was a lifelong Falcons fan. He stayed 100% loyal to Atlanta pro sports and the University of Georgia. He wore Braves and Falcons gear when no one else would be caught dead in them.
    That should have been his twilight... a Falcons Championship. We watched the SB together every year. During that first half of SB 51, I tried to hold back tears as Atlanta completely destroyed New England. I was so thrilled for my buddy. But at halftime, he looked sullen. Perplexed, I asked him why he wasn't happy. He shook his head. He was extremely knowledgeable about football, and he picked up on things. He said the Falcons had 5 losses in the regular season, and they blew all of them after leading in the 4th quarter. He said they were probably already celebrating and would come out flat in the 2nd half... "and that's Tom Brady on the other side."
    As we watched, my buddy seemed to melt into his chair. He'd waited his whole life for that one win, and they let him down yet again. He looked so dejected. I stayed there with him for several more hours after the game, but his eyes were bloodshot, and he wouldn't speak unless he had to.
