I broke my bonds on purpose because it’s easier to manage and gets puffy less often. I live in a humid environment & I workout
I'm taking this as a sign. I've scheduled my first silk press for this Saturday and I will begin my journey. If anyone wants to be my "buddy" for this, feel free to reach out😀 I have no clue wtf I'm doing but I'm down to swap product reccos and talk progress
i wanna start as well but next month, happy to share products and what not!
I am starting tomorrow. I will be straightening my hair myself. Once a month.
@Venezuelan Papi & Queen B how's it ?
How’s it been going, i wanna start doing this!
Any updates ? I am also considering
I recently tried the tymo straightening comb. It gave me like a blowout straight look which I didn't mind. However my hair didn't stay completely straight for that long. I prefer to use a flat iron to really get my roots.
Thanks for this video. I typically wash my hair 3 times a week.
I’m glad I found your page I want to start heat training my hair new sub ❤❤
Thanks for subscribing ❤️
Great tips, suggestions and clarification on heat training your hair! 😊
You always give good tips.
Great tips. Thanks 😊
I want to startttt!!
Great points
I like the idea of rollersetting after a blowout. Would I have to use a setting product for the rollerset?
I'm going to try that. Yes, maybe setting lotion or mousse.
Thank you for the tips.
You're welcome!
Thank you for this video. My only concern about starting to heat train is that I work out and sweat a LOT in my hair which makes it revert. Any suggestions? Also about how long should your hair stay stretched after blowing out/straightening?
Thanks for watching! I do low impact workouts so I don't get too sweaty. Otherwise I would probably at least have to blow dry my roots.
I know this is old, but I wanted to share!
I exercise 4 to 5 times a week, so I understand the concern. Another professional hair technician/stylist said that we should wait AT LEAST three (3) days between using heat. So if your're sweating at the roots, wait three days before heat stretching your roots. I use my blowdryer and a cylinder brush. I use a thermal protectent shampoo, conditioner, and leave in. I've been doing light protein treatments with everywash for almost 5 years now, so my hair doesn't revert very quickly. I am also low porosity. Consider talking with a trusted professional about the current state of your hair and build from there! Godspeed! ❤
@@MegaEpicZerothank you so much! Very informative.
what do you use to moisturize your hair while it is straight?
I wrap my hair at night to retain moisture. I don't use any additional products after I flat iron it.
@@RoxannaRenea thank you! how long have you been heat trained and do you straighten your hair all year or just during certain months?
What hair styles should be used if not straightening once a week?
I like using flexi rods
@@RoxannaRenea okay thank u
Thanks for these tips. For someone trying to keep heat trained hair healthy how often would I use bond building treatments? I am currently starting with once a month silk presses at a professional salon. Thanks and I subscribed! ☺️
Thanks for subscribing! I've been doing it once per month.
What moisturizer do you use to keep your hair moisturized? Can you straighten your hair when it's wet or when it's really oily?
Melanin leave in conditioner. No, don't straighten your hair when it's wet or oily. Only on freshly shampooed ,conditioned, and blow dried hair.
What about high porosity hair?
How to manage hair after workouts? Do you use the flat irons between your wash days?
I'll have to do a video I keep getting that question a lot! No, I don't use a flat iron between wash days.
what heat setting do you use on your flat iron?
410 degrees
@@RoxannaRenea thank you!
Have you always been heat trained? Did you heat train during your relaxer to natural transition? Asking because I am 4 months post relaxer 2 natural.
No, I big chopped in 2019 and decided to be a straight natural last year.
And I hear that Pittsburgh accent
I have a question can you heat train hair on fine hair
Yes, on a low heat setting
are you a full time straight hair natural or do you take breaks?
Instead of blowouts, can i roller set my hair and sit under a hooded dryer for 2 hours? With heat protectant? Or is too much heat?
Yes, that would work.
Can I roller set instead of blow out?
Yes!
What are some great leave in to use to blow dry?
I use the melanin leave in then a heat protectant. I'll look into a few and do a video.
I want to heat train my hair because its so strong and hard to control😫😫
Go for it!
