The high jump is there because of the passive skill - when an enemy is below 30% HP, they will be marked when she ice-sprint near them and when she leaps out of her sprint, she will slash through them, and the slash is counted as a Charged Attack. Since the sprint-slash is removed, they didn't need to make her jump that high after the ice-sprint.
They should've kept the spinning gesture in her E it looks so elegant but I can't blame them maybe they removed it because it was making the transition slow Edit: goofy ahh addicted genshin degens arguing under this comment. “ B-b-but it w-wont make it slower, based from calculations 🤓 ”

If I recall correctly, the removal of the jumping animation in the alternate sprint had also been implemented to Mona's own alternate sprint because according to Hoyo, it would make for a smoother combat.
@@satrunseas It wasn’t a garuanteed kill it just did an amount of damage, I think it was removed more because it either would’ve made combat clunkier or because of how constellations/ talents had a different system in CBT 1 that better accommodated it but didn’t really fit in with our modern system

A lot of decisions were made to make her fit within the meta at the time of release. The player base was really into the combat and meta stuff way more than the Devs anticipated. So they had to adapt to a more efficient combat system

They are better aesthetically only. A big chunk of the playerbase care about the DMG and those animations were not ideal for them. Too long animations and way too much uncertainty in her burst

Her signature move, the charge attack is multiple slashes so fast you cant actually the each of them. Her E is more like a dance than an attack, hence the elegancy. Her burst is multiple super fast cryo slashes (with a hand fan hence the elegance), not one big nuke. If it was like a jump then like a keqing burst, I would be OK with that but that one slash is not fast nor multiple nor elegant.
The biggest change from beta to final release was the removal of her panties and changing them to white shorts or bloomers. Honestly, the biggest letdown mihoyo has down.
I think they could have left this attack when u come out of sprint and attacks while jump doing an ice dash to the enemy like cynos attack,would be very nice
Late answer but: the skill was pretty but also almost completely useless since it only triggered on enemies at 30% or below HP. At that point you're better off using skills or NAs to finish off mobs to regen energy for either the next wave or next floor.
CBT1: Ayaka's animation and Element Skill reminds me of Da Qiao from Dynasty Warriors And Ayaka's Burst reminds me of Lady Hayakawa's burst from Samurai Warriors4
