I am the owner of KTM RC 390 of the first lot from India. 2015 model. I used to see this adv everyday before purchasing it. It was my dream bike. By GOD'S grace and my parents support I could purchase it. Coming to this model bike I can only say one thing - No other present RC series bike looks as good as this bike. That people know about the fact. And this bike had the raw grunt power which new generation RC lacks. My request to all the RC as well as Duke owners to maintain you bikes properly and change the consumables timely. Be a responsible and safe rider. And stay safe in Corona lockdown.
Just imagine this RC coming as an update to the 2022 RC lineup. Man, the only update we needed was a color TFT display and a bit more comfort. KTM, you've shattered millions of hearts in India. Your target consumers (college-going students and young office professionals) now want to buy bikes that we've never even wanted to touch.
I think it looks pretty good but I am a little disappointed it does not have a body more similar in appearance to the astonishing KTM Moto3 machines. Perhaps a Power Parts Catalogue extra ABS plastic Moto3 fairing should be offered?
Belive me, you got a lot of fun wit this engine. Its not big, butthe whole bike compensates that. I gpt it now 3 months and it have done 11.564miles. I stil love it, like it and having fun throwing it around. Even my uncle wants to ride it, he rides a 2013 Yamaha YZF R1.

Love my 390 but must say that the miles per gallon or the miles is says you have left is the most in accurate thing on the plant you simply can’t believe a thing it says. Other than that I love this machine!!!!
5 years now... no sign of a bigger RC. why stop at 390? if you guys are able to make something as great and successful as SuperDuke, why not make the RC counterpart of it? must be awesome of we can see a returning RC8R
greystarful Why don't you like the Freeride? It's an excellent motorcycle for on and offroading, as long as you emphasize on the offroading. Stock it's not so great for the road because you ride at 50km/h in 6th gear and vibrations become unbrearable after 70km/h, though that's still perfect for riding around town since it's so light and maneuverable. With different rear and front sprocket you might get better top-speed out of it but then it's not so good for offroading anymore.

on witch rev? 14-16K? ... bah.... this gives it on 9500. I have the Duke 390 and it is keeping up with 650-1000 cc bikes on normal touring speed easily. 140+ it looses the punch and dies around 160-165 (under my ~80 kg but strait up). But under 140 you will not feel embaraced between bigger bikes.
stockika Pretty sure the 250 would keep up just as easily and it did 200km/ph ;) my parents friend uses it as a track bike now and he puts many bigger bikes to shame and i only paid $1,000 for it! never said the 390 is a bad bike but 44hp isnt impressive
