January 29th, 2025 will be Chinese New Year. Many shops will be closed in China two weeks before and after New Year. Best time for Josh and family to visit China will be after mid-February.

Looking forward to seeing Mei Mei and Mei Fu's tour in China. My kids also took their very first trips to China when they were still babies; My older one even took his first steps in China. We still have their now expired passports with Chinese visa stamps and their cute baby passport photos. In fact, my youngest boy used his old passports in a school presentation about international culture and travel. He was then a 4th grader, and very excited to show all the visas and custom stamps to his classmates.

Just a slight adjustment to what was said about “local natives” to describe local Chinese people. I would suggest changing that “term” to “local residents” to not reflect some misinterpretation and negative imagery of the word “natives” as used in America and the mistreatment of the “Native American Indians”!
