This is the dough I love which no one here in NYC makes. The inky one I know is this woman who taught me how one day (mother of my friend) but she died. I will try this recipe. Reminds me of my childhood days. Many make empanadas but not this flakey crust! Thank you!

I add some cornmeal for the second dough and use coconut oil when I don't have enough butter and it still comes out perfect and so tasty. It's a big hit in my family. I reheat left overs in my air fryer to always get that flaky texture. This recipe is a must try if you haven't as yet. Thanks for sharing! 🥰

In Malaysia we called this karipap pusing😂 the filling mostly are just chicken curry with potato. Can't wait to try your version!

Yes, keep it in an airtight container and can be stored in the freezer.
