@@tricmagic its not really tied to when you activate a skill. I accidentally made it look like that for some reason but yes if you have a high damage, low sp cost skill to thin the herd, definitely useful. Dont rob him on lower floors though. Floor 4 or 5 should do.
@@YaBoiRenegade I have done several searches related to Cresson with Norse mythology, unfortunately I didn't find anything related to those two things or maybe I wasn't looking for it carefully/detailed enough :). Maybe because Cresson itself is a pure collapsal (demon) creature made by HG while Eikthyrnir can still be found in reference thanks to its horns (which indicate that it is deer) and its unique name for the problem of why the arknight community sometimes calls him cresson instead of crazelyson because there are some boss names that don't match their names / change a little between CN servers and Global servers (maybe you already know this tho :/ for example : - Tumor (one of the boss in sss event, the one that always spreads poisonous gas), on CN server his real name is Cancer - Dolly, Sovereign of Sheep, on the CN server his name is Dolly, Lord of the Sheep - Duq'arael, 'Regent's Crimson' (boss in eps 13), on the cn server his name is Ducare, "The red of the monarch" etc...... specifically for Cresson, even though his name on the global server is crazelyson, the ascendant of cosmoi. His real name on the cn server is Ever-Reverberating Cresson. Since CN Server came out first, the community has gotten used to calling him Cresson (it's also easier to call him that way)

this is most likely yostar's fault, as they are the localization company that hypergryph chose for exporting AK to non CN audiences. from what ive heard yostar is notorious for 1) mucking up scheduling (see dorothy taking ages to arrive on GLB) and 2) having somewhat shaky translations.
Integrated Strategies is probably the biggest contribution to my accelerated growth on Arknights. Just started last year and can now consistently clear story and events with Low Rarity Operators, 6 Stars just do what Low Stars do but faster or in a unique way, and even then, Low Stars have their own quirks that give them a little oomph. Which is why I like Arknights for what it is, don't really need to desperately chase new operators for the next meta as you can generally clear most content without the best of the best (excluding DoS) Integrated strategies, specifically IS3 (the one I played the most) appealed so much to me initially because it gave me temporary operators to try out. It also didn't cost me sanity, just time. Without IS, I wouldn't have learnt much about Gavial, Purestream, Gummy, Pinecone, Ethan and Pudding. With 6 Stars requiring high budget and maintenance,, it forces you to learn with Low Rarity, which is one of the main reasons many people are put off by the gamemode alongside with the RNG. And that's the thing, your squad grows with you as you learn more and more about the levels. You get to buy permanent buffs, stat boosts and different squads to suit your playstyle. Different artifacts to help with the current squad you built and it comes back full circle to learning and knowing what your Operators can do. Aside from a bit of RNG, each fight you bring your squad to will be your own choice, initial difficulty, battle nodes, special encounter nodes, it's all your own conscious decision. It's a long-run gamemode, and you're not expected to survive the first few runs. But with each failure you will learn and get stronger, which is always fun.
FYI: E1 70 Pluma can solo every non emergency stage on floor 1 with a well timed S2 activation. She can handle Beasts Awaiting Slaughter, Hands of Moss, and Ghosts of the Resort as emergency ops with some basic help. I recommend skipping emergency Prisoners' Night if you don't have a good way to kill the brawlers quickly.
You weren't kidding when you said this would be a mega project, haha. One helpful tip for the Bosky Passage effect: In case you miss it the first time, you can go back to the main menu and re-enter IS4; this time, the screen displaying the effect will stay on until your next input.
Haha took me days to gather all the clips and hours from multiple days since I got something else to do. I couldve edited this in one day and but it would only be a video with many jump cuts. I'm glad I watched some tutorials for editing atleast.
Reed Alter is the MVP of this IS. Pair her with Popukar for the first floor and all emergency ops are easy af. I do notice that she falls of into later floors though so it's good to have a 2nd healer. And save the Sing foldartal for the final boss. I didn't or probably missed it, but foldartals stack based on my experience.
One way to check the Bosky modifier is to quit the IS stage and load back in. The loading page for the map (bosky) will be shown until you click once. 25:20
Just a wee something for Ending 3 boss : This thing teleport based on time ( about 20 sec per move on phase one and much faster in phase 2 , but does kinda fast teleport a few times randomly only in phase 2). Medics are absolutely needed, the best choice would be eyjaflalla alter , but best if you have 2. DPS best choice is Typhon since S3 can track the boss and fire as soon as you activate the device. Recommend some sniper relics to increase dmg and speed for maximum pain. For ending 2 , if you struggle with holding this stud ( pun intended ) , he is not immune to MOVEMENT SPEED DECREASE. Use miss Mostima S3 (preferably with her module ) for 90% movement speed decrease. Adding Saria S3 , the boss could not even move , let alone attack , but without Mostima or Saria , you can use Istina or any operator that will decrease movement speed ( do notice that not every decel binder does this, so read carefully if they actually does the thing you want them to do ) . No need for DPS ( if you want to make your life difficult ) but do bring a few stalling ops . Using this strategy , the boss most likely wont make it to the last section , putting more pressure on your last line of defense , and dont let him make it to the last line with one more sprint ( a lesson well learnt after the moment of illiteracy ) , you most likely wont be able to redeploy anyone fast enough to slow or stop him. Great vid tho for new players on the path of pain that is grinding this mode, the thing with snek woman stalling the boss was cool , def would try if i had any sanity left

just wanna say thanks! I've been struggling with IS4 for a while now, especially with the second ending boss, and as much as I wanted to try and do more in this game on my own, I just couldn't do it. How I did it was a little more sloppy because I wasn't as lucky with my recruitment vouchers, but I still managed to pull it off!
I cleared ending 2 last week, so getting ready to challenge ending 3. I love IS a lot, such a fun gamemode. Great detailed video, should be very helpful to people
things in this video I would pick apart. Foldartals: the ones that appear orange are red. Did a bunch of runs thinking I needed to pair orange with orange, but apparently they just are red with some colorful decals making them appear orange. also there are a few really powerful foldartal combos. the one that spawns a bosky node and sets adds +6 index when you visit the node. the one that adds an extra combat related artifact when you visit the node. and Yes I suppose 'select all non-combat nodes, change to emergency ops, select all combat nodes add one combat related relic. gives you....a floor 4 that gives you a pretty sweet amount of relics and XP. if you get the artifact that increases your index cap, and the foldartal that spawns bosky nodes and the folderal that 'select one node and all nodes connected to that node. you can create a bosky area where you can visit 3-7 bosky nodes and each give you 6 index + whatever index you find inside the bosky node. I think the highest I've ended a run with so far is 24 index which is 144% buff to attack and HP for all your guys. and that was just with two good bosky nodes. and a run that wanted to give me index.
The hero + hunt was one of many examples i have given. I'll leave it up to the explorers to discover those unique combos. Thats pretty awesome with the index count. Sacred amber is definitely one that you need to get if given the chance.

40:00 You can also use mostima to make sure he doesnt get too far, Mostima decreases enemy movement speed rather than slow debuff so nothing is immune to her slow.
Yo as someone who has continuously maxed out the IS modes, this video was quite interesting. I watched it for entertainment but since I haven't encountered some alternative forms yet, this was also quite insightful in that regard. Keep it up!

I liked IS 2 and beat it many times, but IS 4 has been the most frustrating system ever in the game for me. I think they just make each new IS more complex and power creeped than the last one to accommodate the end game players. I can't imagine any newish players having any idea what's going on at this point.
IS isn't meant for new players though. You can borrow friend operators but you can't expect them to finish it without proper operators. BUT they're a good source for growth mats and they'll also help you know about enemies since many of them are spoiler enemies
fr, i've been playing for a couple years but very sporadically, so i dont have most of the usable t3 and t4 ops upgraded, and trying to relay on t5 and t6 gave me so much trouble without dying a hundred times in flor 2-4 in the last 3 days, only now i managed to find the best combination and got to the last boss but died pitifully, still, its quite fun
this is how i felt the first couple of months i tried playing IS4, but then i just used the right combo of operators and suddenly I was understanding everything lol. it just takes a lot of struggling. admittedly, i struggled a lot more with understanding IS3!
Thanks for the previews, i went into ending 2 boss blind and was taken by surprise by how he just deadass run through my defenses, just managed to cleared ending 2 today.
Thanks to you I was able to complete it for the first time. Funny things is it was a joke attempt, I took all the risks and played recklessly. Thought to myself "why am I alive" many times. When I was nearing the end of floor 4 I locked in and got serious. My first ever clear.
You missed a Collapse Paradigm. It obscures your info such as your current HP, Max HP, Objective Shield and Hope/Max Hope. Plus it prevents you from seeing enemy HP bars
some correction on the boss infos, for sami, it doesnt bind ops on random, it binds the last deployed operator, last 2 deployed if below half hp, for emo boi, its every 30% hp lost, not 25% hp lost, good vid
Musical disaster gets interesting if you put a unit on the top left corner facing right. That will "beam up" all the tiles and allow to gain SP normally. But violin jerks become dangerous, their damage propagates through the beam.

That's a really helpful video. I sleep too much on Reed Alter, I should try using her more. I've also been using Dorothy a bunch and she works super well as a damage dealer, especially with ranged tiles being so limited in many stages, so she can reach the entire map easily

Extra Tidbit on Musical Director. Have a cheap robot unit or any unit of choice deploy them on the Top left corner facing right. It will tune every all of the tiles. You will have ample amount of time that the non Mechs mobs will move
Sorry mate I'll just leave one more comment on ya, There's one that'll sound very negative so I hope I don't come off as a hater but I really hope you won't take it as criticism but I really do think they help a lot in regards to the early game: Prisoner's night: if the 1st rock is destroyed some prisoner actually walk into the holes, so you don't want to surround the 1st rock with rangeless melee Ops too quick Beast to the slaughter is the reason why KirinxYato is preferred as a starter instead of texas, Yato s2 can burst the sheeps without it running past you reliably, also she can kill invisible treasure dog without being stunned due to how her s2 works. Don't turn around sluggies, the tile 1 right on where ines is deployed can actually block everyone on the stage, sometimes the game just doesn't give you enough melee unit vouchers and people who starts with kalsit or jessicat uses it to great effect. if you have two or more blockers the video does show more optimal blocking setup Low-altitude maneuvering: try and put your best dps ground unit directly above perfumer tile, facing right for the extra attack boost from air vents. Unwell: DragonGJY has a great video on it detailing the other different exploitable gimmicks, i am just lazy to type it lol Rock and a hard place: if you have ines two tiles up where jessicat is, facing right to start stage she can solo hold the right lane whilst getting early DP, they just sit there for a while Rational Fracture: one laneholder where cantabile is and one laneholder two tiles down, one left of cantabile can hold all the enemies. the elite enemies from top walks all the way down first and then goes into nearl's blue box and mobs from bottom only goes to cantabile's blue box, caster go to all the way right so two is all you need. New Tribe: A good Aoe healer with good enough laneholders can just solve the stage if you don't have typhon or can deploy her in-time. the boss doesn't do much dmg by herself so leaving her last is fine. casters to deal with the parked rocketships since rocketship hurts and eats 3 block. These two late-game stages are really big red flags in your videos I think: Company Entanglement: The emergency node spawns 3-block only running mobs. and occasional stun snipers will spawn at the start in the bottom undeployable lane. I know your stage didn't have them but the emergency version is very game-ending if you don't have enough defenders and dps and deployment order in place Instinct contamination: The emergency node makes nearl's tile un-deployable
no no youre totally fine. I was debating whether I make emergency nodes a dedicated video or integrate it to this. I actually was planning on doing a follow up video of an actual clear since my goal for this video is just to showcase every stage. Tbh I didn't think this video would blow up as it did now.
Great video btw. Gotta comment on the 2nd ending boss because the emo boy beat my ass for a week: Eikthyrnir is immune to _most_ of hard cc status, except for *levitation.* And while he in the Self-Destruction state, he is immune to slow and bind, _but not for _*_Movement Speed Reduction._* So the snek lady Hooh and Quinipalat can cc him, Irene can be a burst option, all while Mostima S3 activation will completely halt his advance. One more thing: The boss, while not having invincibility between HP thresehold, will *_stack_* his Self-Destruction activation. That means if you burst him down too fast but fail to stop him with the methods mention above, he will absolute Sonic the Hedgehog to the blue box and there is little you can do about that.
There's also a second way to stall the ending 2 boss, by using Mostima S3modlv3 (since the boss is not immune to movement speed slow but is immune to sluggish slow) or Qanipalaat S2 the moment he tries to run (not levitation immune), you essentially can waste his self-destruction by making him unable to run 1 tile at all and be blocked by the same defender at the end once again
really really good guide overall especially since you break down each possible node by the floor i think you only missed one crucial thing, the difference between emergency and normal stages like with more enemies, different spawn,different pathing etc since sometimes it could be make or break if its your first few attempt and sometimes could end the run.
I'll put this comment down seperately, since I can't currently find any other good guides teaching players how to clear IS4 optimally apart from DragonGJY's video, so just treat me as another passionate IS player hoping to spread more ideas and love in the yt side :); If this video is intended for new players, I think you should explain the squad selection part, the extra starting bonus of kettle relic etc. And Ideal squad starting vouchers to pick, or plan to cover it in your next video. I'm sure you knew already but Jessicat for defender start or reedAlter for support+medic is most stable, ling on Braving3 or lower or a KirinxYato/Ines start for Vanguard+specialist. Matching same coloured fordartals (i just call em top/bottom stickers) also reduces collaspe value by 1, the 'cycle' flair just decrease the collaspe value by extra 1. When you want to re-read bosky conditions just exit to IS4 main-menu (the wallpaper menu) and enter back, the loading screen will pop-up again. Partial Cecity is a rare collaspe value debuff, it doesn't come up on the menu until you encounter it, but it blurs your life points and on stages in blurs the enemy and your operators health if you wanna do more videos on is4 might I suggest even a tierlist of ops to bring, or relics, or foldartals? those are always cool.
I'm very curious what difficulty you're playing on. Some of these tips don't apply at D15 (e.g. Collapsal's Afternoon is by far the scariest F4 stage unless specifically drafted against, it's arguably easier to let the very first box be broken in Defense Substituting Offense to create a small kill zone). Also, I'm pretty sure you're missing a good amount of info, such as Instinct Contamination Emergency banning the tile in front of the blue box.
This is mostly towards players who just want to farm points for IS4. I am by no means a high tier player and if there are information that is crucial that I have missed, thats an oversight on my end. Regarding emergency nodes, I am in the process of collecting all emergency nodes for all combat nodes in which I will follow up with this.
I hate the emo boy (Eikthyrnir), I failed both times I fought him. I don't have enough DP to stop both all the enemies and have a big HP staller and healer deployed when he arrives, then after getting damaged he just passes through everything and ends the run immediately
1. In *Unwell* , you can and should break the boxes for more starting DP if you have at least 2 ground ops and 1 ranged op with 3x4 range or bigger (AA snipers, medic). Place that ranged op on the tile to the left of Hibiscus to scan enemies and you don't need chokepoint at all. 2. *Do not* rob Cannot on ANY floor. He casts buffs more frequenntly now and the undying armorless assassins with massively buffed aspd will clear your board in a couple of seconds. 3. *Do not touch Altar of Craving emergency* if you don't have an E2 high lvl AoE medic. Better yet, *do not touch Altar of Craving emergency* at all. Repeat this a third time if necessary. 4. *Typhon S3* can nuke all floor 3 bosses in one activation up until difficulty 10-12. 5. In *Defense substituting offense* , you should let the hammer bro destroy the first roadblock and stop him right after that. Also set up a focused DPS zone around that. Every hammer bro will follow that exact same path. It's much easier than trying to block them before the first roadblock. 6. In *Musical disaster* , you only need 1 op (preferably healing defender) facing right on the top left corner. This makes the laser pass through every enemy unit making them (especially golems) much easier to kill. Try to kill the left side casters ASAP.

I come back to Arknights recently (i pause few weeks after IS3 start), and i feeled completely lost and bad on this IS4 (most of the time : loose on floor 2, sometimes lost on floor 3 boss). This + best operator for IS4 videos helps ma a lot (Reed carry me) :) Edit : at 1:29 you mention that you'll show how to get 1k5 points. I don't find the moment you explain it, when it is please ?
Why is this game mode so hard, I only got up to floor 3 so far. Died to the stage with the flying rock monsters. What am I supposed to do like bro, guess I’m forced to build 4 stars before I can continue
I don't find Terminus of Life that bad since you can spawn kill the boss and most of the mobs from the middle/bottom spawners with Typhon S2 on that middle island. Wandering Medic facing right on that middle section next to vent, Typhon below them facing left.
Additional enemies when you get routeweave net is going to be the same process as creating this same video all over again. So instead i'll be showcasing runs per ending just to give players a general idea.

Just wanted to say that the challenge version of the 19:18 stage is just bullshit, every time I see this emergency stage I just restart my run cuz movement speed and damage buffs are too insane to deal with at the very beginning of the level and if you failed to deal with it - you probably won't be able to deal with the entire stage. My personal nightmare of bosky passages...

Reed Alter is the strongest starter you can have if you are farming ending 1. Texalter is also good along the way. Invest depending on what kind of relics you have. If for example you have relics that favor guards more, try to shift your focus on that specific information.
If youre referring to Typhon and Reed, Reed is going to be more valuable as a starter. So if you have friends who have them, try asking them for you to borrow. You can always borrow an operator at the start
Other than defender and medics being great for tanking and sustain, operators that can deal multi-hit and/or CC are also pretty good in IS4. Notable ones imo would be Ethan, Pinecone, Cutter, Leonhardt (with investment), Harmonie, HibiAlt, Manticore, the centurions, Red, etc..
Unfortunately, few (if any at all) are worth drafting since 3* are free and 6* are much more broken. This is why you'll often see a lot of D15 clears use mostly 3* and 6*.

@@2265Hello for 4* I would say ethan cuora and roberta for support, silvergun's 4* only clears should give u a good idea of who to pick for DPS good medics include purestream, sussurro, warf, perfumer, ptilo for 5* greyy alter comes to mind, qani specifically for ending 2 valarq might be worth considering but idk how well she does specter is notable for her invuln which is great against champions that's all i can name off the top of my head
@@Dwarven2408 there are multiple ways to do so. Color matching foldartals lowers it by -2 and special mention to a specific blue sigil (the sigil looks like a compass) that reduces -3 if you color match it with another blue. Option 2. You can enter encounter or lost and found nodes and there will usually be offers to lower your collapse value by 3 but its a bit rng. Option 3 is the most rng since it relies on trader/shop nodes and you can get relics that lowers your collapse value in exchange for inggots. You can also get relics that reduces collapse value every after combat nodes but thats heavy rng since there are a lot of relics available in IS4
Hoshiguma (don't use S2), Jessica alter (with S3 duration on for extra tankiness), Nian, and Cuora are the regular recommendations I have seen I have tried using Saria mod2lv3 while fucking around at A15, and that was a mistake lmao, not even the 15% dmg reduction or the Def% stacking talent can keep her safe. Eunectes was not bad, but Duelist Defenders are lowkey a throw pick or something you pick if you have excess hope at A15 runs
I have a question, not sure how many noticed this but...when you select which squad buff you use at the start of the run, you can see what endings you have cleared with that squad, but the thing is...some of the ending's symbols are shaded, some are clear and bright...what's the difference and why? IS 2 and 3 don't seem to have it
If its kinda transparent, it means you cleared it below Diff 1 to 6. If its solid, you cleared it on Diff 7 to 11, if it looks like the aurora borealis, it means you cleared it on Diff 12 and up.

I've started IS4 and...is it supposed to be this hard at the start lol? I remember having an easier time with IS3 when I first played it. Some of the enemies here are even worse than the Seaborn lol.
@@alexter5942 for snowpriest, you can try to heal the damage you receive because he will eventually rush towards the blue box. For the tree dude, try to kill him as soon as he spawns if you got the easy version. For the variant, try to play around with the roadblocks and chip its hp slowly. For the emperors blade clone, kill him at a distance with snipers since challenging him in a 1v1 is disadvantageous due to the black smoke debuff.
Can you do the other IS? and also, what do you suggest to play first if i didn't play all 3 IS? (Yes, i play Ceobe Fungimist but never completed any ED, only for points)
From experience I would say do IS2 first for familiarity, since it is the earlier one without lots of buffs , then you can do IS3 or 4 at your own will , but do be reminded that is4 do build on some mechanics that are available in is3 , but should be fine if you just like one more than the other
I never really touched the other IS again once I finished them but it's one of my goals to produce a guide for every IS. It will take time though and i'll probably do IS3 next since it's the one that's still engraved on my memory. As for what IS to play, IS2 would be great. The only problem with IS2 is that farming points to level up takes time even when you do it on the highest difficulty. Take for example in this video, I gathered 1500+ points from playing on difficulty 6. Thats about 5 levels already.

@@helmifaiz4504 I havent visited is2 in a good while , prob shite at it now too , but finishing is2 all 4 endings really humbled me , mostly because i was so shite at it , it took close to 3 months before i cleared my first ending. Endurance is the most important , but you have to enjoy it too ( did it for Phantom's skin, did not regret )

Question. If Cannot puts them to sleep everytime a skill is activated, would auto-charge skills with low cost be effective in lowing the tide?
@@tricmagic its not really tied to when you activate a skill. I accidentally made it look like that for some reason but yes if you have a high damage, low sp cost skill to thin the herd, definitely useful. Dont rob him on lower floors though. Floor 4 or 5 should do.
I think you missed the method of unlocking the second ending.
For ending 2 boss you can pronounce his name like this = (Ache-Turn-Ear), it is based on the name of a type of deer in Norse Mythology

@@YaBoiRenegade I have done several searches related to Cresson with Norse mythology, unfortunately I didn't find anything related to those two things or maybe I wasn't looking for it carefully/detailed enough :). Maybe because Cresson itself is a pure collapsal (demon) creature made by HG while Eikthyrnir can still be found in reference thanks to its horns (which indicate that it is deer) and its unique name
for the problem of why the arknight community sometimes calls him cresson instead of crazelyson because there are some boss names that don't match their names / change a little between CN servers and Global servers (maybe you already know this tho :/
for example :
- Tumor (one of the boss in sss event, the one that always spreads poisonous gas), on CN server his real name is Cancer
- Dolly, Sovereign of Sheep, on the CN server his name is Dolly, Lord of the Sheep
- Duq'arael, 'Regent's Crimson' (boss in eps 13), on the cn server his name is Ducare, "The red of the monarch"
etc......
specifically for Cresson, even though his name on the global server is crazelyson, the ascendant of cosmoi. His real name on the cn server is Ever-Reverberating Cresson. Since CN Server came out first, the community has gotten used to calling him Cresson (it's also easier to call him that way)

this is most likely yostar's fault, as they are the localization company that hypergryph chose for exporting AK to non CN audiences. from what ive heard yostar is notorious for 1) mucking up scheduling (see dorothy taking ages to arrive on GLB) and 2) having somewhat shaky translations.
Integrated Strategies is probably the biggest contribution to my accelerated growth on Arknights. Just started last year and can now consistently clear story and events with Low Rarity Operators, 6 Stars just do what Low Stars do but faster or in a unique way, and even then, Low Stars have their own quirks that give them a little oomph. Which is why I like Arknights for what it is, don't really need to desperately chase new operators for the next meta as you can generally clear most content without the best of the best (excluding DoS)
Integrated strategies, specifically IS3 (the one I played the most) appealed so much to me initially because it gave me temporary operators to try out. It also didn't cost me sanity, just time. Without IS, I wouldn't have learnt much about Gavial, Purestream, Gummy, Pinecone, Ethan and Pudding. With 6 Stars requiring high budget and maintenance,, it forces you to learn with Low Rarity, which is one of the main reasons many people are put off by the gamemode alongside with the RNG.
And that's the thing, your squad grows with you as you learn more and more about the levels. You get to buy permanent buffs, stat boosts and different squads to suit your playstyle. Different artifacts to help with the current squad you built and it comes back full circle to learning and knowing what your Operators can do. Aside from a bit of RNG, each fight you bring your squad to will be your own choice, initial difficulty, battle nodes, special encounter nodes, it's all your own conscious decision. It's a long-run gamemode, and you're not expected to survive the first few runs. But with each failure you will learn and get stronger, which is always fun.
FYI: E1 70 Pluma can solo every non emergency stage on floor 1 with a well timed S2 activation. She can handle Beasts Awaiting Slaughter, Hands of Moss, and Ghosts of the Resort as emergency ops with some basic help. I recommend skipping emergency Prisoners' Night if you don't have a good way to kill the brawlers quickly.

You weren't kidding when you said this would be a mega project, haha. One helpful tip for the Bosky Passage effect: In case you miss it the first time, you can go back to the main menu and re-enter IS4; this time, the screen displaying the effect will stay on until your next input.
Haha took me days to gather all the clips and hours from multiple days since I got something else to do. I couldve edited this in one day and but it would only be a video with many jump cuts. I'm glad I watched some tutorials for editing atleast.
Reed Alter is the MVP of this IS. Pair her with Popukar for the first floor and all emergency ops are easy af.
I do notice that she falls of into later floors though so it's good to have a 2nd healer.
And save the Sing foldartal for the final boss. I didn't or probably missed it, but foldartals stack based on my experience.
One way to check the Bosky modifier is to quit the IS stage and load back in. The loading page for the map (bosky) will be shown until you click once. 25:20
Just a wee something for Ending 3 boss : This thing teleport based on time ( about 20 sec per move on phase one and much faster in phase 2 , but does kinda fast teleport a few times randomly only in phase 2). Medics are absolutely needed, the best choice would be eyjaflalla alter , but best if you have 2. DPS best choice is Typhon since S3 can track the boss and fire as soon as you activate the device. Recommend some sniper relics to increase dmg and speed for maximum pain.
For ending 2 , if you struggle with holding this stud ( pun intended ) , he is not immune to MOVEMENT SPEED DECREASE. Use miss Mostima S3 (preferably with her module ) for 90% movement speed decrease. Adding Saria S3 , the boss could not even move , let alone attack , but without Mostima or Saria , you can use Istina or any operator that will decrease movement speed ( do notice that not every decel binder does this, so read carefully if they actually does the thing you want them to do ) . No need for DPS ( if you want to make your life difficult ) but do bring a few stalling ops . Using this strategy , the boss most likely wont make it to the last section , putting more pressure on your last line of defense , and dont let him make it to the last line with one more sprint ( a lesson well learnt after the moment of illiteracy ) , you most likely wont be able to redeploy anyone fast enough to slow or stop him.
Great vid tho for new players on the path of pain that is grinding this mode, the thing with snek woman stalling the boss was cool , def would try if i had any sanity left

When boss 2 sprinting he will also be immune to sleep, slow, stun and levitate, but not movement speed reduction.
For ending 3 nightingale is helpful too as the boss’s attack deals arts damage, really helpful when he start to one-shot units on higher difficulty

just wanna say thanks! I've been struggling with IS4 for a while now, especially with the second ending boss, and as much as I wanted to try and do more in this game on my own, I just couldn't do it. How I did it was a little more sloppy because I wasn't as lucky with my recruitment vouchers, but I still managed to pull it off!
I cleared ending 2 last week, so getting ready to challenge ending 3. I love IS a lot, such a fun gamemode. Great detailed video, should be very helpful to people

things in this video I would pick apart.
Foldartals: the ones that appear orange are red. Did a bunch of runs thinking I needed to pair orange with orange, but apparently they just are red with some colorful decals making them appear orange.
also there are a few really powerful foldartal combos. the one that spawns a bosky node and sets adds +6 index when you visit the node.
the one that adds an extra combat related artifact when you visit the node.
and Yes I suppose 'select all non-combat nodes, change to emergency ops, select all combat nodes add one combat related relic. gives you....a floor 4 that gives you a pretty sweet amount of relics and XP.
if you get the artifact that increases your index cap, and the foldartal that spawns bosky nodes and the folderal that 'select one node and all nodes connected to that node. you can create a bosky area where you can visit 3-7 bosky nodes and each give you 6 index + whatever index you find inside the bosky node.
I think the highest I've ended a run with so far is 24 index which is 144% buff to attack and HP for all your guys. and that was just with two good bosky nodes. and a run that wanted to give me index.
The hero + hunt was one of many examples i have given. I'll leave it up to the explorers to discover those unique combos.
Thats pretty awesome with the index count. Sacred amber is definitely one that you need to get if given the chance.

You can also use mostima to make sure he doesnt get too far, Mostima decreases enemy movement speed rather than slow debuff so nothing is immune to her slow.

I liked IS 2 and beat it many times, but IS 4 has been the most frustrating system ever in the game for me. I think they just make each new IS more complex and power creeped than the last one to accommodate the end game players. I can't imagine any newish players having any idea what's going on at this point.
IS isn't meant for new players though. You can borrow friend operators but you can't expect them to finish it without proper operators.
BUT they're a good source for growth mats and they'll also help you know about enemies since many of them are spoiler enemies

fr, i've been playing for a couple years but very sporadically, so i dont have most of the usable t3 and t4 ops upgraded, and trying to relay on t5 and t6 gave me so much trouble without dying a hundred times in flor 2-4 in the last 3 days, only now i managed to find the best combination and got to the last boss but died pitifully, still, its quite fun
I am mostly missing laneholders, big dps dealers and unique skills like reed slter
this is how i felt the first couple of months i tried playing IS4, but then i just used the right combo of operators and suddenly I was understanding everything lol. it just takes a lot of struggling. admittedly, i struggled a lot more with understanding IS3!
You can also silence the hovering boys. It’s quite fun to see them hovering above holes just to be silenced by Lappland 😂

You missed a Collapse Paradigm. It obscures your info such as your current HP, Max HP, Objective Shield and Hope/Max Hope. Plus it prevents you from seeing enemy HP bars

Musical disaster gets interesting if you put a unit on the top left corner facing right. That will "beam up" all the tiles and allow to gain SP normally. But violin jerks become dangerous, their damage propagates through the beam.

That's a really helpful video. I sleep too much on Reed Alter, I should try using her more. I've also been using Dorothy a bunch and she works super well as a damage dealer, especially with ranged tiles being so limited in many stages, so she can reach the entire map easily

Extra Tidbit on Musical Director. Have a cheap robot unit or any unit of choice deploy them on the Top left corner facing right. It will tune every all of the tiles. You will have ample amount of time that the non Mechs mobs will move
Sorry mate I'll just leave one more comment on ya, There's one that'll sound very negative so I hope I don't come off as a hater but I really hope you won't take it as criticism but I really do think they help a lot in regards to the early game:
Prisoner's night: if the 1st rock is destroyed some prisoner actually walk into the holes, so you don't want to surround the 1st rock with rangeless melee Ops too quick
Beast to the slaughter is the reason why KirinxYato is preferred as a starter instead of texas, Yato s2 can burst the sheeps without it running past you reliably, also she can kill invisible treasure dog without being stunned due to how her s2 works.
Don't turn around sluggies, the tile 1 right on where ines is deployed can actually block everyone on the stage, sometimes the game just doesn't give you enough melee unit vouchers and people who starts with kalsit or jessicat uses it to great effect. if you have two or more blockers the video does show more optimal blocking setup
Low-altitude maneuvering: try and put your best dps ground unit directly above perfumer tile, facing right for the extra attack boost from air vents.
Unwell: DragonGJY has a great video on it detailing the other different exploitable gimmicks, i am just lazy to type it lol
Rock and a hard place: if you have ines two tiles up where jessicat is, facing right to start stage she can solo hold the right lane whilst getting early DP, they just sit there for a while
Rational Fracture: one laneholder where cantabile is and one laneholder two tiles down, one left of cantabile can hold all the enemies. the elite enemies from top walks all the way down first and then goes into nearl's blue box and mobs from bottom only goes to cantabile's blue box, caster go to all the way right so two is all you need.
New Tribe: A good Aoe healer with good enough laneholders can just solve the stage if you don't have typhon or can deploy her in-time. the boss doesn't do much dmg by herself so leaving her last is fine. casters to deal with the parked rocketships since rocketship hurts and eats 3 block.
These two late-game stages are really big red flags in your videos I think:
Company Entanglement: The emergency node spawns 3-block only running mobs. and occasional stun snipers will spawn at the start in the bottom undeployable lane. I know your stage didn't have them but the emergency version is very game-ending if you don't have enough defenders and dps and deployment order in place
Instinct contamination: The emergency node makes nearl's tile un-deployable
no no youre totally fine. I was debating whether I make emergency nodes a dedicated video or integrate it to this. I actually was planning on doing a follow up video of an actual clear since my goal for this video is just to showcase every stage. Tbh I didn't think this video would blow up as it did now.

Great video btw. Gotta comment on the 2nd ending boss because the emo boy beat my ass for a week:
Eikthyrnir is immune to _most_ of hard cc status, except for *levitation.* And while he in the Self-Destruction state, he is immune to slow and bind, _but not for _*_Movement Speed Reduction._*
So the snek lady Hooh and Quinipalat can cc him, Irene can be a burst option, all while Mostima S3 activation will completely halt his advance.
One more thing: The boss, while not having invincibility between HP thresehold, will *_stack_* his Self-Destruction activation. That means if you burst him down too fast but fail to stop him with the methods mention above, he will absolute Sonic the Hedgehog to the blue box and there is little you can do about that.
Something to mention that with the coming of Shu banner to global, Shu's s3 will keep him down like a good boy he should be.
There's also a second way to stall the ending 2 boss, by using Mostima S3modlv3 (since the boss is not immune to movement speed slow but is immune to sluggish slow) or Qanipalaat S2 the moment he tries to run (not levitation immune), you essentially can waste his self-destruction by making him unable to run 1 tile at all and be blocked by the same defender at the end once again

i think you only missed one crucial thing, the difference between emergency and normal stages like with more enemies, different spawn,different pathing etc
since sometimes it could be make or break if its your first few attempt and sometimes could end the run.
IS in general is really hard if you dont have enough units with at least some levels :(

I'll put this comment down seperately, since I can't currently find any other good guides teaching players how to clear IS4 optimally apart from DragonGJY's video, so just treat me as another passionate IS player hoping to spread more ideas and love in the yt side :);
If this video is intended for new players, I think you should explain the squad selection part, the extra starting bonus of kettle relic etc. And Ideal squad starting vouchers to pick, or plan to cover it in your next video. I'm sure you knew already but Jessicat for defender start or reedAlter for support+medic is most stable, ling on Braving3 or lower or a KirinxYato/Ines start for Vanguard+specialist.
Matching same coloured fordartals (i just call em top/bottom stickers) also reduces collaspe value by 1, the 'cycle' flair just decrease the collaspe value by extra 1.
When you want to re-read bosky conditions just exit to IS4 main-menu (the wallpaper menu) and enter back, the loading screen will pop-up again.
Partial Cecity is a rare collaspe value debuff, it doesn't come up on the menu until you encounter it, but it blurs your life points and on stages in blurs the enemy and your operators health
if you wanna do more videos on is4 might I suggest even a tierlist of ops to bring, or relics, or foldartals? those are always cool.
14:20 Yato Alter S2 does not get stunned immediately and can cycle full skill to kill it xD
I'm very curious what difficulty you're playing on. Some of these tips don't apply at D15 (e.g. Collapsal's Afternoon is by far the scariest F4 stage unless specifically drafted against, it's arguably easier to let the very first box be broken in Defense Substituting Offense to create a small kill zone). Also, I'm pretty sure you're missing a good amount of info, such as Instinct Contamination Emergency banning the tile in front of the blue box.
This is mostly towards players who just want to farm points for IS4. I am by no means a high tier player and if there are information that is crucial that I have missed, thats an oversight on my end. Regarding emergency nodes, I am in the process of collecting all emergency nodes for all combat nodes in which I will follow up with this.
I hate the emo boy (Eikthyrnir), I failed both times I fought him. I don't have enough DP to stop both all the enemies and have a big HP staller and healer deployed when he arrives, then after getting damaged he just passes through everything and ends the run immediately
Wasn’t there also some super rare pardigms? Like the one where it hides your hp count so you have so leaking enemies is a huge risk

"Penalty" also has *very* slow DP generation rate, so prepare your vanguard

Any time :)
1. In *Unwell* , you can and should break the boxes for more starting DP if you have at least 2 ground ops and 1 ranged op with 3x4 range or bigger (AA snipers, medic). Place that ranged op on the tile to the left of Hibiscus to scan enemies and you don't need chokepoint at all.
2. *Do not* rob Cannot on ANY floor. He casts buffs more frequenntly now and the undying armorless assassins with massively buffed aspd will clear your board in a couple of seconds.
3. *Do not touch Altar of Craving emergency* if you don't have an E2 high lvl AoE medic. Better yet, *do not touch Altar of Craving emergency* at all. Repeat this a third time if necessary.
4. *Typhon S3* can nuke all floor 3 bosses in one activation up until difficulty 10-12.
5. In *Defense substituting offense* , you should let the hammer bro destroy the first roadblock and stop him right after that. Also set up a focused DPS zone around that. Every hammer bro will follow that exact same path. It's much easier than trying to block them before the first roadblock.
6. In *Musical disaster* , you only need 1 op (preferably healing defender) facing right on the top left corner. This makes the laser pass through every enemy unit making them (especially golems) much easier to kill. Try to kill the left side casters ASAP.

I come back to Arknights recently (i pause few weeks after IS3 start), and i feeled completely lost and bad on this IS4 (most of the time : loose on floor 2, sometimes lost on floor 3 boss). This + best operator for IS4 videos helps ma a lot (Reed carry me) :)

You have to take into account what stages await you in higher floors. Integrated strategies is full of trial and error that you can do infinitely.

I don't find Terminus of Life that bad since you can spawn kill the boss and most of the mobs from the middle/bottom spawners with Typhon S2 on that middle island.
Wandering Medic facing right on that middle section next to vent, Typhon below them facing left.
Yeah but among the 2 stages available in floor 6, ToL is definitely harder than Frost and Sand.

Additional enemies when you get routeweave net is going to be the same process as creating this same video all over again. So instead i'll be showcasing runs per ending just to give players a general idea.

Just wanted to say that the challenge version of the 19:18 stage is just bullshit, every time I see this emergency stage I just restart my run cuz movement speed and damage buffs are too insane to deal with at the very beginning of the level and if you failed to deal with it - you probably won't be able to deal with the entire stage. My personal nightmare of bosky passages...

Reed Alter is the strongest starter you can have if you are farming ending 1.
Texalter is also good along the way.
Invest depending on what kind of relics you have. If for example you have relics that favor guards more, try to shift your focus on that specific information.

If youre referring to Typhon and Reed, Reed is going to be more valuable as a starter. So if you have friends who have them, try asking them for you to borrow. You can always borrow an operator at the start

So what 4 and 5*s are good for IS4?
Other than defender and medics being great for tanking and sustain, operators that can deal multi-hit and/or CC are also pretty good in IS4.
Notable ones imo would be Ethan, Pinecone, Cutter, Leonhardt (with investment), Harmonie, HibiAlt, Manticore, the centurions, Red, etc..
Unfortunately, few (if any at all) are worth drafting since 3* are free and 6* are much more broken. This is why you'll often see a lot of D15 clears use mostly 3* and 6*.

for 5* greyy alter comes to mind, qani specifically for ending 2

specter is notable for her invuln which is great against champions

@@Dwarven2408 there are multiple ways to do so. Color matching foldartals lowers it by -2 and special mention to a specific blue sigil (the sigil looks like a compass) that reduces -3 if you color match it with another blue.
Option 2. You can enter encounter or lost and found nodes and there will usually be offers to lower your collapse value by 3 but its a bit rng.
Option 3 is the most rng since it relies on trader/shop nodes and you can get relics that lowers your collapse value in exchange for inggots.
You can also get relics that reduces collapse value every after combat nodes but thats heavy rng since there are a lot of relics available in IS4

Regarding ending 2, it's a "free boss" until certain Diffs, relicless, which operators can reliably tank the boss at Diff12?
Hoshiguma (don't use S2), Jessica alter (with S3 duration on for extra tankiness), Nian, and Cuora are the regular recommendations I have seen
I have tried using Saria mod2lv3 while fucking around at A15, and that was a mistake lmao, not even the 15% dmg reduction or the Def% stacking talent can keep her safe.
Eunectes was not bad, but Duelist Defenders are lowkey a throw pick or something you pick if you have excess hope at A15 runs

I have a question, not sure how many noticed this but...when you select which squad buff you use at the start of the run, you can see what endings you have cleared with that squad, but the thing is...some of the ending's symbols are shaded, some are clear and bright...what's the difference and why? IS 2 and 3 don't seem to have it
If its kinda transparent, it means you cleared it below Diff 1 to 6. If its solid, you cleared it on Diff 7 to 11, if it looks like the aurora borealis, it means you cleared it on Diff 12 and up.

The collapsals are a problem indeed. They run quite fast when attacked. But yeah the floor 1 nodes are harder I agree.

@@alexter5942 for snowpriest, you can try to heal the damage you receive because he will eventually rush towards the blue box.
For the tree dude, try to kill him as soon as he spawns if you got the easy version. For the variant, try to play around with the roadblocks and chip its hp slowly.
For the emperors blade clone, kill him at a distance with snipers since challenging him in a 1v1 is disadvantageous due to the black smoke debuff.

I always pick Eternal Hunting Squad so I can effectively ignore collapsal paradigms, 10/10 would recommend.

From experience I would say do IS2 first for familiarity, since it is the earlier one without lots of buffs , then you can do IS3 or 4 at your own will , but do be reminded that is4 do build on some mechanics that are available in is3 , but should be fine if you just like one more than the other
I never really touched the other IS again once I finished them but it's one of my goals to produce a guide for every IS. It will take time though and i'll probably do IS3 next since it's the one that's still engraved on my memory.
As for what IS to play, IS2 would be great. The only problem with IS2 is that farming points to level up takes time even when you do it on the highest difficulty. Take for example in this video, I gathered 1500+ points from playing on difficulty 6. Thats about 5 levels already.
@@helmifaiz4504 honestly my answer is pretty biased cause I did smash all modes in order and felt that is2 helped alot in familiarizing you to the mode , but I do understand why you would want to do is3 first since it is more optimized . Also it might be because I had texasalter and abused her in is3 , I didn't think it was that hard, thks for your insight ❤
@@helmifaiz4504 I havent visited is2 in a good while , prob shite at it now too , but finishing is2 all 4 endings really humbled me , mostly because i was so shite at it , it took close to 3 months before i cleared my first ending. Endurance is the most important , but you have to enjoy it too ( did it for Phantom's skin, did not regret )
IS2, the simplest but dont give many of choices in playthrough.
