Apparently not only is it an impressive trick for the dogs, they thought that Tramp had lost his touch once he became a house dog. He basically showed them all that just because he changed his life he hasn't lost his old skills from when he was wild. He could leave the house dog life anytime he wanted but he chooses to stay.

Personally, I don't think Tramp ever planned to 'walk out' on anyone. He was probably happy to have both Lady and his best friend in his life, but the problem was Buster wasn't willing to let him have another loved one and basically forced that choice on him.
"You ditched me!!" "I fell in LOVE!" "YOU MADE YOUR CHOICE!!" I have to give the voice actor for Buster props for his line delivery, because the pain sounded so real and raw! Him and Tramp were best friends for years, all they had was each other growing up on the streets and the fact he abandoned for a girl dog who he only knew for a short time definitely must've hurt him. Especially when you put into account that Tramp had a lot of meaningless flings with other girl dogs, he probably viewed Lady as a relationship that was meaningless.
Not me, sorry, but I first saw this as kid, I hated the scenes when Scamp gets in trouble for making a mess around the house, when he argues with Tramp, and then argues with him again in this scene. It's like real life when you wish to be free but your family won't let you because the world out there can seem pretty dangerous. I did love Angel in this movie because she's so pretty, and Lady too because Lady is one of my favorite Disney characters who looks like myself in dog form

I watched it again yesterday, and now I LOVE the film because of the (positive) messages it teaches. I mean, Scamp's sisters were voiced by kids so why couldn't they hire a little boy to voice Scamp and a little girl to voice Angel? - Scamp was a brat for taking his family for granted (even though I felt bad for him) - His family was being a little too hard on him especially Jim Dear and Tramp. - I HATED the arguement Scamp and Tramp had in the beginning. - This scene. - Lady (one of my most favorite Disney characters growing up), her daughters, Jock, and Trusty had barely any roles in this movie - I don't like the songs much especially 'Always There' because I always felt like Disney ripped that off from the song of the same name from the fifth movie of 'The Land before Time' which is called 'The Mysterious Island' and it was the very first TLBT movie I ever saw as a kid. - The way Buster took Scamp's collar off of him was kinda brutal and inappropriate - When Scamp and Angel were fighting and Scamp accidentally revealed Angel's secret to having a family in front of Buster and the other street dogs - I hated that crazy dogcatcher even though I liked how he caught that giant dog who chased after Scamp. - Scamp had to take a bath anyway at the end of the film, I kinda felt bad for him.

This is one of the few disney sequels that actually works, in terms if story. We find out that Tramp was part of a stray pack and was best friends with Buster the Doberman before he met Lady. And his son gets out and meets that very pack, learns everything, has to make choices, whether he should be a pet or a stray. Most Disney sequels are pretty bad.
