Chicago (IL) Firefighter Larry McCormack and company review creating a box crib for stabilizing heavy loads. Sponsored by American Military University.
Not clear on max crib height. If max is 3 times the base, then, counting the base, it's 4" x 4 = total 16" high, but at the end of video, he said max is 48". Please clarify. Thanks!
The calculation is 3x the footprint of the crib. Each piece of wood he's using is 4 x 4. If you place four of them next to each other, it's going to be 16 x 16. Three times that is 48". This also assumes that they are cut to 16" lengths.
i was wonder what auto crib was and came along this. i'm still not sure why cribbing is needed as someone who is under vehicles daily. if this is just to spray water under the car just let that baby burn to the ground. your efforts costs more than the car.
Great video! Thanks
А там живые останутся,пока вы эти городки складывать будете?

Typically it's for rapid stabilization of a vehicle to remove a pinned victim.
mate, you need to wash your fire kit (bunker gear) have you heard of cancer and also looks unprofessional, not salty at all!
