  • Charles Winninger (as "Pop" Gallagher) and Al Shean (as himself) perform their classic "Oh Mr. Gallagher" routine in "Ziegfield Girl "(1941).
(In the film, this scene is interrupted by a number of cutaways; I re-edited it to appear an one continuous number.)

You editing has preserved what is an almost forgotten treasure from Vaudeville. Al Shean's was Minnie Marx's brother and he wrote the first successful show dialog for his nephews, Chico, Harpo, Groucho, and at that time Gummo.

it looks like an excellent restoration. I was just reading about the Marx Brothers, what a amazing story. Al Shane was related to them, help them to get their start

Al Shean, born Adolph Schönberg was the younger brother of the Marx Brothers' mother Minnie.

My compliments on the seamless editing for this clip. It's been a while since I've seen the whole film, but I at least vaguely remember the cutaways to the other actors, and you still managed to make it look and sound like it was always this way.
