ABSOLUTELY want a build video of this one!
I really love airgun mechanics myself. A very interesting subject.

    Hello,
I actually value the comment you made on Evanix products being reliably serviceable for life. I am a passionate survivalist/prepper so that’s music to my ears; as well as the fact p.c.p. products are viable choices even in very cold climates, whereby the simplicity of a product’s design can be an advantage. The micro carbine option was beautifully designed, as their aesthetics never fall short.
I can’t decide which caliber I want. I love the fact the .25 can fit H&N Hornets, the one thing the Huben cannot do. I love the power of the Huben, but in longevity, my money would be on the Viper. Be well and stay safe.

Love the look of the viper and simplicity to work on it. In your experience do you thing there are modifications to this pistol that could make it push more power?

sorry, i do like this pistol, but need something with at least three times that energy level and currently only one air pistol does that, bintac T9 .357 semi auto air pistol, 8 rd mags ,100+fpe, will run slugs upto 89gr hp.
will run edgunwest explosive slugs .
    will run aea hollowbody slugs
has a huge bolt handle on both sides. 16inch total length but it feels shorter.
two tanks top tank hot swaps 250cc total. 24 shots on fill.
i do not like the bottom tank , think it can work without that but it wont.
cost $50 less than the .30cal viper.
but ya know i like the viper, for small stuff. would i buy the viper at that price, no.
    at half that price yup.

You're going to change that ignorant opinion....guaranteed.

It’s just math. Airguns produce a FRACTION of the energy like caliber firearms can produce. They also present REAL issues with reliability, ease of use, general availability, and $$. Sure, you can compare a .50 cal AEA with a .22lr and say "hey look an airgun has more power than a firearm." But that's BS and nothing more than people trying to get views for the RUclips and Social Media wallet. Let's take a .50 cal S&W handgun cartridge (3000+ ft-lb) and put it next to a .50 cal airgun pistol.. maybe 1/10th the energy? What's the max airgun energy these days, 1500 ft-lb from the Zues. Get real dude. Not only would a 3" .12ga magnum slug produce MUCH more energy (2300+ ft-lb), but an affordable 12ga is WAY less expensive ($220 +/- on gun gallery) and far easier to use long term. Sure airguns can be lethal. I'm certainly not going to argue otherwise. But they are NOT a substitute for firearms if firearms are an option, and currently they are.
Now, let’s talk about the "big picture." First of all. my opinion is for now.. not what may be at some time. With that said, every place restrictive gun control has been enacted has also included airguns to great extent.. Do you actually think that the powers that want to limit firearms are "ignorant" of airguns? I can tell you for a FACT that they are not. I've been contacted by them in the past. They are 100% aware and airguns are already on their list. The bigger question is, should we be heading towards that end, how smart is it to make a big deal about how "awesome" airguns are for self-defense so we can make sure they are perfectly highlighted and featured as useful alternatives? or maybe.. keep our big mouths shut about it and hope that they aren't seen as a viable threat for as long as possible.
The more people and other content creators point out just how powerful and effective airguns can be as firearms alternatives, the more you and they put the whole industry in as a big fat freaking blob on their radar.
      Cheers
      AGW

@@AirGunWeb Obviously there are far more powerful and effective self defense options in the realm of firearms. But 30 ft. lbs. right between the eyes is going to sit you down. You won't be blinking hard a few times and then be on about your business. The odds are you'd be very much deceased. As for the politics of things, hopefully we don't ever see the day pellet guns are widely lumped in with firearms (in America).

@@AirGunWeb rick, actually my .30cal challenger pro is 120-130fpe. take the foldy stock off and it is lighter, i am thinking about cutting the barrel down to just an inch past the reciever and see how much energy it retains, but still not semi auto.
the 50cal max gets 350fpe ten times that vipers energy, and the elite 500fpe but both come at costs rick.
my hp standard .25 cal is so quiet you can shoot within 50 ft and not be understood as a weapon at all. but 70fpe stock, mine has been upgraded so does close to .22 lr with a .25 cal and 47gr hollowpoints.
so no a 50cal nah dont need that to say it beats a .22lr.
      not at all.
      but nice analagy.
this bintac T9 does beat a .22 lr and is .357 and semi auto and handgunsizeish.
funny looking though. works great with ed gun west exploding slugs. 22 energy and a suprize boom .
if evanix could double that energy i would be a buyer rick. oh the 4 stage vever hand pump would fill any of them. it is under 5 lbs .
i do like that viper's size rick, like i like hatsan velox size, but both have energy anorexia.
but point blank, i admit it would stop a groundhog or raccoon rampaging.
pesting only, not for self defense, too borderline for less lethal or lethal.
won't go through my metal panel door.
course neither would the hatsan mod 130 at 34fpe even desiled would not do it.
but a slingshot with half inch ball bearings will.
best idea ever half inch carbon steel ball bearings in a slingshot with 4 bands instead of 2.
no powder or air needed, fits in your back pocket, and wont jamb up on ya.
but rick i knew that when i was 8 years old.
enjoy that viper, it sounds like a paintball gun shooting marbles. giggles
