Good job! Keep it up! I drive a 95 celica myself. When i was a kid my grandmother let me pick her new car just to cheer me up.
I saw a bright yellow celica in the middle of the dealership and said "grandma i want you te get this race car". Well, she smiled at me and said " a promise is a promise". Keep in mind that before the promise she was actually looking to buy an suv. This is how my grandmother thought me the value of a promise. On top of all this she kept it all these years and now after 25 years gave it to me. I drive it every day.
Your Grandma sounds like an amazing lady! I think it's wonderful that she gave you the car after all these years & that you get to drive it around today. Thanks for sharing your Celica story with me. I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying my channel! 😀
I just got my own 98’ celica gt convertible and have been searching for more experienced celica owners! Make more content!
Welcome to the Celica family! I love the feedback, thank you! More videos are on their way.
@@NetsGarage I second this. Just picked up a $500 98 convertible and would love to see more content.
Yay! Welcome to the Celica Family!!!
Got the 94' a few weeks ago, it's my little project.
Yay! Welcome to the Celica family! 😀
Nice msg about the kindness to other drivers.
Thank you! I think it's important that we're all good to each other. 🙂
a bit uncertain about what im looking at in my JDM '97 st202
it seems to have the 8 inch mounts but the actual speaker seems smaller
found this channel looking for instructions on how to remove the door panel (thank you for the walkthrough) because I wanted to look into replacing it as it's still the factory speaker and i got some rattling going on.
My condolences for what happened to the convertible as well
I do have a video on removing the door card. I’ll attach a link for you here. Good luck with your project! And thanks for the condolences on the black convertible. 🥹🤓

Thank you! 😊 I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the outtakes, those little 'mouse squeaks' were too funny not to include! 😆
Yes we want to hear more
I love it! Thank you! More content is on its way!
I have a 1994 Toyota Celica jeep and I want to get a turbo look at yours that has a turbo at how much it cost you??
Thanks for the content. I have a 94 st and it's hard to find info on these cars
Hey Celica Fam! Glad I could help ya out. 🙂
Have you actually replaced any of the speakers in the convertible gt? If so…what speakers did yoh replace them with? Please provide some model numbers or links
Hello! I did replace all my factory speakers with Audison speakers & amp. I chose them because of the shallow mount depth, so it fits flush with the door card installed. You’ll have to find which speakers fit with your particular speaker set up. In the trunk I have a 10” JL W7 with a custom built box and an amp for it as well.
Here’s a link to Audison, you can find an audio specialist that sells these speakers near you. Or you can source them online. Good luck. 🍀

where would you buy the shallow mounting decks for the 6 1/2 speakers?
Hi Mark. 👋🏻 You could fabricate your own mounting bracket, or get one from a junk yard Celica. Or you could always ask the Celica community and see if someone has one available. There's a Facebook group called "The Official 6GC Group" that is a great resource for parts and ideas. Another option would be to reach out to the Celica community on 6gc.net. Best of luck to you and your Celica! 🔧🙂
Can wait to get an AT200 as my first car
Yay! I'm excited for you! 😀
I have a 95 Celica the radio powers on
But no sound out of any of the speakers works
I have the less common setup of 3 in each of the front doors
Any ideas/help would be really appreciated
Hi Ryan! I know that can be quite frustrating. Did the speakers used to work and then stopped working? Are you installing a new head unit? Are these the factory speakers? Newly installed speakers? Is the radio otherwise functioning completely? There are several things that may have gone wrong. I’d trace your wires and make sure things are connected securely. If the radio is turning on then it must have ground power, so that’s good. Did you make sure everything is connected in the back of the head unit, including the antenna plug? Did you use the proper wiring harness? (There are two kinds). I would start double checking your work and your wires. Make sure everything is connected. Good luck. 🍀🤞🏻
I have a six generation there so fun to drive thanks for info so my Celica doesn't say gt is there a few models?
I agree, they're so fun to drive! Yes, there are a few different models. Depending on where you live the options were different, if your'e in the US they came in ST (1.8L) & GT (2.2L) options. Other countries got the beloved GT-Four.
just bought a black 1998 Celica GT convertible and i’m looking to replace the speakers…any recommendations on which speakers would be a good fit?
Welcome to the Celica family! I have Audison speakers in mine and I'm quite happy with them. 🙂
My 99 Celica gt convertibles radio don't turn on. What do you think i should check?
Hmmm. Well, I'd start by checking the ground wire and the fuses, then perhaps pull the radio and see if everything is plugged in properly. Good luck!
Hey all
What 4 inch speakers did peope go for please
Hello. I used Audison speakers in my Celica. 😀
Oh wow, did you turbo your 5s?
I bought a 5s that had been turboed by a previous owner. She's definitely got more power than stock, but she still needs some work. My favorite part is the sound of the BOV, so fun! 😀
Hi I have a 1996 GT convertible and I`m having issues with water getting in from the back of the trunk area, did you experience any of this with your convertible?
Hey Celica friend! I've not had any issues with water in my trunk, thankfully. There are a few things you can check; the rubber seals around the trunk (Is the trunk closing properly?), you can check the weather strips around the rear quarter windows, there's also a drain/gutter that can sometimes get clogged up with leaves that you may want to clean out. You also may want to put a convertible top protectant on your ragtop as well, it will help the water bead and roll off the fabric instead of absorbing in and leaking inside the car. Those are my ideas, hopefully you can trace where the water is getting in. 🤞🏻 Good luck! Water can be really sneaky.
@@NetsGarage Thanks for your reply, The issue is those gutters one of them is broken and is no longer working after putting a temporary solution. It`s about $200 at the Toyota dealer. Too much$ I`ll see if i can remove the top from the back area and see if I can macgyver it.
I just bought a 97 convertible
Yay! Welcome to the Celica family! 😀 These cars are so great, you're going to fall in love with it.... consider yourself warned. 🤓
Can I buy the rear seats off your hatchback celica
My seats aren't for sale, but you may be able find some. I would check your local junk yards, 6gc.net, or 'The Official 6gc Group' on FB. Good luck!
Haha flexing those door panes
😆 The 3 speaker door cards are pretty dope! I really do love them! 😀
Mine is a little different.. It's a GTS.. It has the exact same stereo setup as your black 94 but it has 8 inch in the doors not 6.5
Oh that's interesting. What country is your Celica from?! The GTS wasn't a Celica label they used in the US.
@@NetsGarage I've got a '94 GT-S ST204 from Canada, so maybe his Celica is also one made for Canadian market.
Best looking Celica was 84 or 85 GTS convertible 🏎️👍
Those pop up headlights are hard to resist! 🤩
