Beaded Dreams yes,and I saw Warwick Davis in Star Wars The Phantom Menace. He was a spectator at the Boonta Eve Podrace on Planet Tatooine. First,Mr. Davis was sitting around Watto the Junk Dealer when Anakin Skywalker's Pod,wouldn't accelerate. Everyone, and Watto was laughing at him. But when Anakin Skywalker won the Boonta Eve,Mr. Davis looked like be was arguing with Watto,as if he was saying,"Hey,you said he'd lose,Watto! Nice going, now we've lost that bet."
This was the first film I ever saw that had smaller people in it. I was 9 years old at the time and I found it fascinating that adults could be the same size as children. I actually believed there was a fantasy land where all these people lived. It added to the magic of the film. Great actors in this. Tastefully done.
I remember reading that an entertainment journalist wanted to get the inside story on a movie with Ron Howard and George Lucas and he knew he was on the right plane (to New Zealand) when he saw how many little people were on the plane.
Warwick Davis is so cute! He has such an endearing boyish quality of most people his age at that time (i.e. Sean Astin, Keith Coogan, Ethan Hawke, etc), whom I really admire!
Thank goodness this film is on Disney Plus and not to mention it's best to see the movie before watching the tv series and I'm glad they brought Warrick back to play a older Willow once again.
It was written by James Horner but performed by a British group called Incantation. They specialized in using old or unique instruments. Horner used them a number of times in the late '80s and early '90s (Field of Dreams is another example) when he wanted panpipes, Uillean pipes (Irish bagpipes), or some of the other harsh woodwinds that "Willow" has.
What I loved about this film was how it portrayed little people as just ordinary folk. It didn't emphasize on their stature nor did it even bother to mention that fact. It portrayed this town as a place inhabited by citizens who just happened to have dwarfism.
Incredible! I never got a chance to see the movie, though I did play the NES. Game as a kid. I sure was lousy at it,though. Willow was one difficult game. Concerning the people of Nelwyn Village, the dwarves of Middle Earth in the Lord of the Rings movies would actually be just like the ones today. The one word that comes to mind,is"Unique" because they may have been born to remain smaller than average height, but they are capable of doing just about anything those of average height can. I've seen them drive vehicles skillfully, operate machinery, take on full time jobs. Their size doesn't conflict with what they do.
Since seeing this movie as a kid, I've since been able to spot just about every midget actor from this movie who I come across in any other show or movie over the years. Really awesome when it happens! :D
I saw an old Little Rascals episode called Arbor Day. The school was conducting a play when a Truant Officer came in a little Man,and a little Woman, both adults. So hilariously,he thought they were schoolchildren playing hooky! Suddenly, the little Man tugged on the Truant Officer's sleeve. And once the Truant Officer bent down to listen, the smaller Man said,"If I wasn't so small,I'd knock your block off." Yep,despite how hilarious it was,the small man was right.
It is. After the finale where Willow receives the book of magic and rides off, the end credits begin and they play the party music before seguing into Madmartigan's theme.
They're not midgets, they're dwarves. "Midgets" are very short but proportional, like hobbits. Those with dwarfism actually suffer from disproportionate limbs.
I KNOW! I'M SO DEPRESSED! This is the next best thing :P I wanted to lean it on the fiddle, but it's hard to learn it by ear when there's a magic pig in the background.
*WICKET THE EWOK*: And now, for my final amazing feat, I will make this entire pig disappear. (He covers the pig into the blanket) ...Please, watch very closely. Whuppity bairn, deru, deru! (He whips the blanket off, disappears! But, Wicket shocked for the pig runs out of the table) No! (chases the pig) Hey! Come here, you!! LOL!
STEVE P No, they're more like dwarves that don't live underground and prefer agriculture to mining where as hobbits are halflings with large hairy feet thick as leather. At least that's. how I see it.
The actor that played Willow - Warwick David was only 18 when they shot this. Pretty impressive.

17 actually
Warwick was super young when he played Wicket.
@@kylarokorbor528 It was a surprise to see him in Solo as well

@Jaeger19Ultima lol why, they are less human
Oompa Loompa’s from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?
@@williamshaw9047 Yeah and it's also where Peter Jackson filmed Lord of the Rings.
I used to love this movie as a kid
I still do. But I used to as well.

Bro. Same.
It’s a fuckin banger.
I use to watch this movie all the time growing up back in the day
Same
Willow aired a lot on HBO and Showtime back then.

Would you say nelwyns are like Hobbits or rather a race of dwarfs?
I lived back in those days, it was fun.
The video game for the NES that came out for this movie was hard as balls. I beat it though. Yes I friggen did.
This scene is what I see every time I hear this new Irish folk music on the radio
My favorite fantasy film of all time.
I loved this movie as a kid and was kind of sad that there was no sequel.
It was better one and done though. Don't give Lucas ideas about sequels. A prequel actually would be really cool.
HullHouseProductions Trie, I did hear they are planning on doing a sequel but Lucas will only be a creative consultant
there's sequels in book form that lucas released...
Well today’s your day
Sequels are generally bad
I've always loved that Gaelic bluegrass Hufflepuff folk music!

Willow’s kids make so happy.
Awsome scene in a wonderfull film, I love it.
I'm wondering that myself. I've looked everywhere for this tune.
This is one of my childhood movies 🥰
Am I the only person that has a crush on willow? :)
nope!! XD
anoutman He looks like a dwarf version of my brother. I still think he's awesome though
Is it a small crush?
Yes.

Good movie 👌🏽💯🧙🏽♂️
I still can't believe Warwick was 18 when he played Willow o.o
Neither can I because he was 17 not 18
17 during filming, and 18 when the movie released.
We can dance if we want to.. we can leave your friends behind...
I watched this movie when I was very young and I loved this tune but funnily they didnt include this in the movie's official soundtrack!
Awesome film
Que buen temmaaa.. Ritmo Totalll...
Gotta love Burblecut, or whatever his name is.
just in case some of you didnt know most of the vertically challenged individuals in this movie played the part of the ewoks in return of the jedi
Willow is such a Cutie
Just figured out that this same guy plays as the Leprechaun.
Bad shopkeeper, bad shopkeeper
@1:03- The little guy from Labreynth.
so why isn't this on the soundtrack?

@@williamshaw9047 I know it's in the movie, it's not on the soundtrack.
It is its called "Village Party"
@@michaelscampini5383 I am holding the cd right now and that song isn't on here. Which release/ soundtrack is that on?
The only reason I know it is is that when I bought the tape it was one of my favorites. Then I got the CD in college and it was again a favorite.

0:23 Kenny Baker, aka R2-D2, playing the conga.
Kenny throwing out dem BEATS!
When you try to seek Peter Dinklage out of the crowd :'3
@Tony Mario I doubt it, he didn't start acting until 1990 i think. He wasn't out of college in 88.
Not true
It looks like him but, if it was him, I'd think he'd have mentioned it in interviews
Guys, it was just a joke. Of course he didn't act in Willow.
Fantasy roles are beneath him.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Kenny Baker in the drums!
Back in the 80's, this was how I imagined Hobbiton to look.
Spot the time bandits

The lord of the rings sequel we all need- joking of course
i asked myself the same question.
WOPPITY BAN... Daru.. DARU!!!
Are those people still alive
Many of them are including the star of the movie who played Willow
^He was _Professor Flitwick_ in the _Harry Potter_ movies. _(and a few other characters)_
Would this be called Peckfest in Pecktown?
Back when Hollywood actually care about little people/dwarfs.
eeeeeeeee!
Anyone notice that the band consists pretty much of the cast of midgets from Time Bandits?
1:43 I saw Tony Cox
1:15
Dude, this just have been the most expensive film ever made. How TF did they afford all those midget extras?
Most of them had been in star wars before playing ewoks and any small statue characters.
Sooo...Harry was Potter meets Lord of the Rings?
Where'd they find so many dwarfs to film this? I've seen like 3 in person my entire life 😂
George Lucas brought most of them back from playing Ewoks in _Return of the Jedi._
It’s like midget town on Long Island
The Nelwyns are like hobbits
~1:17 Is that a young Peter Dinklage to the right of Willow?
1:14 to 2:10 (56, 28)
