    I’d argue not to use cheap materials when working with chemicals that can cause allergies. Your point makes sense but who knows what garbage exists in brands on Amazon.

      That is true but you can look up the SDS for any product if you want to know what is it is made with. If you couldn't find an SDS then I would be concerned.

    I say this as an artist currently looking into becoming a licensed nail tech, starting small applies to a lot of things. For art specifically, you don't need the fancy expensive stuff when you start out. Just go to hobby lobby and pick up a pack of paint or colored pencils or whatever it is you need. You do want to do your research though, go for cheap but still decent quality. Once you find out what works for you, and develop more skills, then you can find products that cater more to your specific needs. Maybe you use certain colors more, or prefer certain textures or other qualities of a medium. But at least when you start out, you don't really have to worry about anything of those things, it's all about experimentation and practice.
