Abu Huraira said (to his companions), "Why do I find you averse to it? I have been to Turkey couple of times and have many Turkish friends and seriously they’re some of the nicest people I ever came across! They’re extremely generous, giving and kind. Very welcoming and open minded people, the best people I ever came across.
Just stumbled across this channel. I am Greek Cypriot and I have to say that I was truly moved by the generosity, the hospitality and the friendliness of the people you have met in this town which I had never heard of before. As the man who has the sweet shop said 'There are only good people and bad people' . Its never about race, colour or religion. Thank you Drew for posting this.
And I thank to you about your honesty and open mind. Unfortunately Greek Cypriots and some of Greeks have very bad opinions and attitudes about us. But I always right beside to divide people and politics. I hope one day we will have real peace upon us. I visitied Eastern Greece from Thessoloniki to Turkish border and I really loved. Greetings from 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
Greeks and Turks are the biggest frenemies, though we are slowly starting to value the friendship and neighborhoodship between our people. I hope that in the future, both of our people can live in peace and with the mutual respect both sides deserve. We have a lot in common, but we should open our eyes in order to see our similarities and embrace them. Peace out ^^
Brings me to tears. Have had similar experiences in Indonesia, Cuba, and Croatia. I don't think Americans can ever understand the generosity and pureness of people like this. I wish we would do the same when people came to the US....
@Clark Kent this is true but it lacks the same personal element as actually treating a complete stranger like family... especially a foreigner. Sorry I just don't see Americans doing that very often

We Muslims also do not admit that terrorists like Isis are Islam, we believe he is in another religion because in Islam there has never been a teaching like suicide bombing then we will meet angels directly

i am a New Yorker and I prefer Istanbul way more than New York. I have been going to Turkey for few years now to visit my brother who lives in Istanbul due to work. Well, Turkey become my favorite country to visit. The people are amazing, the country is fantastic, so much places to see. I've been to some of the historical places and even to Belek to play some golf. I just can't get enough of this beautiful country. @Allend Goodblood Stop making it a political debate. I'm from Gaziantep and we love our Kurdish brothers & sisters. We get along really well. Also, the majority in Gaziantep is Turkish, so that doesn't make it a "Kurdish city"
Went to Turkey last year, when we came back we realised we didn't buy much sweets to our kid as wherever we go she was getting it for free. Amazing people and culture.
No, Gaziantep is not a Kurdish city. Kurds are only 10-12% of it. Gaziantep is good Turkish City. In Turkish culture, an unexpected guest is accepted as "Tanrı misafiri" which means a guest from the God and therefore everyone tries to help the guest while he/she has been there.
I just left Turkey after spending 3 weeks there. I can tell you their hospitality is the best! Beautiful people inside and out. There hasn't been a day that I haven't thought about my amazing memories. Ahhhhh I will be back!
You will not find this sincerity and generosity in any country. And the only country where you won't go hungry even if you don't have money. We love our country, our flag, our nation. How happy is the one who says I am a Turk!
My closest friends are Turkish. Everytime I go to their place they always welcome me as if it's my first time even though I've known them for 2 years now. They literally tell me that their fridge is also my fridge so I can literally take anything I want. They are amazing people.

I lived in Turkey for 4 years with my family and kept visiting for many years afterwards. It wasn't until the second year as our Turkish improved and we made close friends with people, that we realised that the custom is that people offer things 3 times and you have to say no thank you 3 times before they stop. The same thing applies to you. If you offer a drink or a cigarette, they will say no thanks 3 times as well. If they want to accept, they will do it on the 3rd or even 4th ask. Of course, it's also true that they are wonderful and kind people, my favourite in the world.
This made my heart smile and heart at the same time. I'm not Turkish but my sister in law is but like my brother lived there for 20 yrs so they met, married, and had kids over there and thus we used to go visit all the time back in the day like early 2000s. Eventually they moved to NJ bcz my sis in law got offered a job to teach at an ivy league school and my brother wanted his kids to go to upper level school in the US but Turkey especially Istanbul (bcz im basic like that ig) has a very special place in my heart.
Once visited Trabson ( 2 years back) , we arrived around 22h and we asked for a restaurant/foodshop and as he informed us that eveyrthing was closed, he went home, took tea ,honey , bread and more and fed us , without having to pay ( we insisted but he didnt want) , his hospitality didnt stop there. NExt day , the owner of the hotel took his own car to drive us in the mountains , ( like 1h drive ), local restaurants & more, didnt want any money for the guidance. I will never forget him and will always be grateful.
Christian or Muslim, conservative or not; you are always welcomed Turkey, to live, to travel… As Rumi said; “Come, come, whoever you are.
Greetings from 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
It's all about spreading love
Greece& turkey should negotiate peace
Greeks and Turks are the biggest frenemies, though we are slowly starting to value the friendship and neighborhoodship between our people. I hope that in the future, both of our people can live in peace and with the mutual respect both sides deserve.
We have a lot in common, but we should open our eyes in order to see our similarities and embrace them.
Peace out ^^
Naren Unadkat muslims you mean?
Brings me to tears. Have had similar experiences in Indonesia, Cuba, and Croatia. I don't think Americans can ever understand the generosity and pureness of people like this. I wish we would do the same when people came to the US....
@Clark Kent this is true but it lacks the same personal element as actually treating a complete stranger like family... especially a foreigner. Sorry I just don't see Americans doing that very often

NExt day , the owner of the hotel took his own car to drive us in the mountains , ( like 1h drive ), local restaurants & more, didnt want any money for the guidance. I will never forget him and will always be grateful.
Incredible...
Amazing.
Hope to visit someday...
Christian or Muslim, conservative or not; you are always welcomed Turkey, to live, to travel…
As Rumi said;
“Come, come, whoever you are.
Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving - it doesn’t matter,
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come if you have broken your vow a hundred times,
Come, come again, come.”
You literally melted my heart rn
@Hopz It doesnt matter we love all the people. Turkey is a welcomy place for everyone
Funny as a Jew, Rumi is one of my favorite poets

@@simp.for.himm. Are you historian? Did you make any experiments or observations or did you ever read an article about it, or are you just repeat after your goverment. Let the historians decide what happened not politicians.
And thats why I said everyone welcome in Turkey because we are not racist unlike you
That level of generosity would borderline make my midwestern sensibilities uncomfortable. So many wonderful and giving people out there. Much love.

It’s their religion & culture to “give freely to a foreigner”
As long as he’s white😂
@Mary Jane it’s 'Islamic' Culture.
@@user-ox6rx8bf3g they're not racists just like you
It's called 'ISLAM'
@@user-ox6rx8bf3g Nope. I am turkish and my moms black we've been to turkey and everybody treated her the same.
The last time I was in Turkey:
- I walked into a shop, it turned of the owner is a biker, we started chatting about bikes and he refused any payment for what I got
- I stopped to buy some figs and the guy wouldn't take my money
- A family just saw me, I guess realizing I was a foreigner, the father came to me just to say hi and give me a delicious fruit out of nowhere
Turkey is awesome, can't wait to go back there! Amazing food and amazing people.
Which part of Turkey was this?
This city is kurdish and in kurdistan
@@jewellui @J L Western and central - I went through Erdine, Istanbul, Eskesehir, to Cappadocia and Pamukkale and many more places along the way. But I've been to the southeast kurdish region around Mardin in the past and people there are just as friendly.

Turkey really is like that. They insisted that we wouldn’t pay or pay less in Istanbul. Love to Turkey from your fellow Balkans, the Romanians
