You guys know how I feel about cleaning. It makes me crazy to have stuff dirty. The wheels on the GM cars have a terrible issue with squeaking and brake dust. With my Corvette and the CTS-V the brake dust is crazy. You can only make it a few miles before the wheels are covered in brake dust. Today I am going to show you how to replace the brake pads on your Cadillac CTS-V. This process is very similar on Camaro, ATS-V and Corvette. This process and brake pads will almost eliminate the brake dust on your wheels. If you hate brake dust covered wheels this video is for you. My wife also said the brakes no longer squeak. Its nice to have a wheel that will actually stay clean for a few weeks. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

I love the attention to detail you took while cleaning the rotors and calipers. I’m the same way. It absolutely slows me down but luckily I enjoy working on my stuff!
Thank you. Definitely a ocd problem
Dude you are so nuts lol, I have ocd but not as bad lol, you spent like 10 minutes cleaning your rotors and calipers on each side lmao. The effort to get things perfect is nuts, props to you for having the patience to do that
Lol. I do have a problem
@@TWAMotorsports not kissing your ass but it’s a good problem to have
I figured if you have it apart. Clean it.
Bro this is an awesome break down, very detailed but I like that. I'm definitely doing this pad set-up for my ATS-V I cringe every 2 days after I've washed my car cuz of the dam break dust! 😖
Thank you. Yeah I did my old ATS-V also. So much better after
Will we be seeing a power windows conversion on the Green Sierra soon?
Great content like always
I wouldn't say soon
Good Thursday evening Travis. I'm just getting home from work and settled in with my wife and going to have dinner and catch your video on your wife's caddy..
Have a Great night
Are your ctsv wheels torqued to 140 ft lbs like my 19ats v ? If so what impact driver are you using ? It seemed to remove lug nuts easily. Thanks
Yes. I use dewalt impact
Need these for my Camaro 2SS!! So sick of the brake dust! Not to mention if it's not cleaned asap it will permanently stain and pit your wheels...
I totally agree
GM.... every "lug nut kit" anyone sells has no 22mm kind of annoying
. Leslie makes a cool tool for 4 pot calipers that spreads all the pads at once. Super cool if you do this a lot.
That would be handy
These pads definitely help but on my car I still get a good amount of dust (6 piston brembos).Nonetheless not anywhere like the stock pads.
Yeah. It still makes dust but way better
Where is the TA!!! sweetest car in the fleet in my opinion
In the garage collecting dust
Would be nice if all disc brakes were that easy to change. ✌
Very true.
Need to do the same…my Hellcat pads are ridiculous.
Yeah its crazy.
I hate brake dust on my wheels. I like to switch to ceramic pads and I never have to worry about dust again, atleast in my experience
I agree. So annoying
Brake dust is always so hard to clean
More annoying than anything
I am anal on stuff myself. I do break the wheels nuts before I jack a car up. I do not desire to strip any bolts. You know the car more, maybe if you lubed them before, then using an Impact wrench will be fine. I still think safety first, to use a manual torque wrench to loosen the bolts. Two Jacks? One portable electric power Jack that fits inder for holding both sides at the same time or the whole car would be eficient for lifting, just some advice.
Great catalog of products, I use Amazon a lot myself!
Torque wrench should never be used to loosen bolts. That will ruin them. They have a loosen for reverse threaded torque only. As for 2 jacks. The way this car is set up there are not a lot of great lift points.
I buy a lot of stuff from them.
@@TWAMotorsports I also use Affirm as payment system.
I have never used that. I have seen that option though.
