Quick day trip to Las Vegas. Gusty winds made for a mildly bumpy landing in Las Vegas. Turning base you can see the wind pushing the wings around.

I guess y'all didn't get close enough to.Hoover Dam on the approach to 26Left, because I never saw it.
Oh never mind, I see what they did! There's the shot of the airport at 3:00. So they had y'all fly past just south of the airport, pull a 180° turn & land from east. So y'all never had a chance to get close to it.

May have seen it from the other side of the plane but yeah it seemed like a shortened approach. I know we flew over on this flight last July though

@POV Flight Videos in my 757-300 coming over from ATL back on Oct 13, I know for sure we would have flown by it. But it was night & I was the opposite side of the aircraft. So even if I had been sitting on the correct side, there's no guarantee that I would have seen it.

This flight was coming from LAX. Flights coming from the north and west typically make the approach shown in this video and don't fly over the dam like flights on approach from the east and south do.
