after 3.700 hours in ASE and alsmost 700 in ASA i built a lot o stuff and iwatched lots a videos... and not everiyone is entertaining or at least helpful, becaus the person does make it look cool but with no explaination. YOUR! way (i mean we are talking of a 44 minute video) is great: pleasant and understandable voice, nice sense of humor, and guts instead of cuts, to show your struggle (we all have) with the ARK snap-logic. not to mention, that the result ist georgeous. and not a single second boring...except for biffer and bommer maybe 😆 ...so its your fault i follow you now 😜 ❤& ☮

I would probably make the base and main pillar in metal, then change it to wood with Bob’s skins. Beautiful build though, I can’t wait to try it out ❤😊

I just asked everybody what they thought about setting up in the red woods and doing a network of treehouses. First project will be setting up your aviary! I love that it isn't bound to the tree platform. THe treeplatform has it's place, but there's something neat about this style. I'm going to connect my aviary closer to the tree so it looks more like it's attached to the trunk than hanging. Hoping that will allow my to hide more metal pillars within the tree, and paint them to match. Thanks for the inspiration!

That's an interesting idea, I think waterpipes arent in the game anymore arte they? They used to be in ARK evolved, but were removed in Ascended I think
@@LolsAtLance the way you do it it puts more of a focus on the individual segments of several square ceilings and triangular ceilings and the 'core' in the center, which reinvorces (atleast to me) the idea of "this isnt round, this is something angular" but if you put square on the triangle parts and vice versa you get more of a focus on individual rings which to me reinforces the idea that this is something round(ish)
I think a good way to hide the main pillar is to build an elevator on it. Don't connect directly onto the cage, build it 1-2 wall below, then build a platform around the tree. The elevator should go up to that platform, then 1-2 stairs from the platform to the cage. That would create the illusion that the tree is the main pillar.
First off, I love the background music, I know it's Pokémon Colosseum or XD Gale of Darkness. Second, what a great idea I would love to see if you can get two hanging from a tree platform that hides in the branches.
Yes you're correct it is indeed xD, the main menu music from Colloseum, not sure if its in Gale of Darkness too as i've never played it 😬, Someone else suggested this! I have no idea if it will work, i'll have to experiment at some point 😄😁

Looks amazing, instead of pillars from the ground could you use a tree platform and build down from that (then can use platform to land dragons on) cover it with foliage to make it blend in with the tree
A couple other people suggested having the tree platform, I honestly didn't even know you could do that 😅, dangling it off that, I'll have to try it 😆😆
That build looks amazing have an idea for a future project a big tree house village with multiple treehouses rapping around the trees I have something similar in Minecraft or mabey a big lighthouse U mantuned once (I think) that you will do a Japanese temple

You are wrong there is the way to do with out pillar. Use the tree platform and dan hung pillars down. (Under the platform). You have 2 spots on tree for platform just use the top one. Btw you did great job looking Good
Through trial and error, I have found that if you build a pillar horizontal into the tree it actually counts as foundational support, which means you could actually remove the pillar to the ground if done in the right way. Though i will say that this is done at your own risk, as you have to do it just right for it to work, or the entire build will collapse as soon as you pull the ground pillar.
PSA: You can place building pieces while hanging from a grappling hook. Especially helpful if you're on a modded server with the reuseable grappling hook.
I think maybe put an elevator in the middle of the support base to "hide" it. Could you maybe build a tree platform and then suspend it from there instead?
@user-jy3kh5wf5x just 2 plant mods: JVH landscaping and Nature's bench. (Only really need JVH though)... I also used the taxidermy mod for the little bird statue at the top 😄

There’s a mod, Visual Storage, which has dynamic storage structures which I’m using because I like visually seeing the resources instead of just hidden in a box and I keep trying to make a farm/work base but I keep ending up with a bland and ugly base - which then results in me attacking other players so they raid me and destroy the base by the time I get back online so I can try again
You absolutely can do this on official servers 😆 the only thing you can do is plants, but could always do loads of crop pots instead with species X plants. All my builds are official friendly 😁
@becsap9151 hey, on switch you're still on "ARK: Survival Evolved" not "ARK: Survival Ascended" so the game and indeed building mechanics are slightly different. I would suggest just using the normal pillar instead to solve this issue :)
Respectfully, using all available building pieces to make additional/better structures is not a bad thing lol. I'm sure it's frustrating though. Side note, but: While ASA has a fair number of cons to it, the massively improved mod support and load times alone are huge. Having servers with 20-40 mods on it is no longer horrific for those that need it

Great build!! If you own the bob’s tale bundle I think that the frontier skin for the pillar might work well for blending in with the tree

4:12 PERSONALLY i prefer to put tirangles wherever there are squares and vice versa it gives it in my opinion a much more even look compared
