Shirley Jackson is a favorite! Her writing is so disturbingly evocative that when I read her work, it impacts my dreams even. She is truly a literary witch. With the V.E. Shwab book- I read it a long time ago.. I really enjoyed the two timelines... I remember disappointment regarding the ending. It seemed amateurish. However, it is not my usual genre so it might very well please other readers. Enjoy your books!

I'll let you know how it goes. I haven't started it yet. I've been stuck on The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. I read it in the 90's and wanted to read it again because of the show the Mayfair Witches. It's going to take me a while. lol
