Hey Jaabo One of my favourite sets of 2024, so far! I purchased it for Ezra as he is desperate for a real cat. Plus, he deserved a treat! I do wish there were other versions available, like the blue and pink parrots, or the Fiat!
I helped build this at a friend's party at the weekend, held in honour of her 21-year-old cat! It's a lovley model and sadly the only type of cat I could live with, since I'm allergic to them ☹️
Monday morning I watched a RUclips video about BURAN (the Soviet space shuttle) by Alexander the ok and I found it fascinating (not sure if you guys are interested in that story, lots of neat technical jargon) but still fun to watch. I have to admit the Tuxedo Cat is pretty skinny versus Chubby Charlie. 😂
my best guess the cat is so cheap because the designer specifically used pieces in their design that the assigned points value of the piece was low. the cat and black millennium falcon are both monochromatic so it can't be cheap because of the colour. it can't be the shape of pieces because plenty of sets with curved roofs have those corner round bricks and are more expensive. it can't be licensing because there is no license. it can't be a low confidence of sales because plenty of pet owners own cats. who knows perhaps they recently lowered the points value of certain pieces to incentivise designers to use those pieces to avoid justifying the retirement of more moulds. I’m just playing process of elimination so that's my theory. first
@@gwenhidwy new parts always have a lower assigned points value to incentivise designers to use them and deliberately flood the market. Point being is that it’s a good value for money
@@BrickTsar I never had Fabuland my self as a kid, but a friend of us had a few sets. I do not remember if they were in Norwegian or if it was in Scandinavian...
I agree about how much of a good value the cat is. So fun to build and great for display!

Wasn’t the original version a Siamese cat? That would be a cool coloration for this set too
I would not be surprised if we cat another variation.
😂 “Cat another variation” made me laugh!
I have an order coming from DNA brix. Glad he is a good seller

Not sure. There were a number of notable new and relatively new parts in the set

@@MayoHosko Interesting, I wasn't aware of these points. It is quite interesting. Thanks for the info!
