That windscreen might be yellowed, but no scratches and still completely clear… It would easily beat all but one of mine (seven overall; ironically the one in the tipper is the best). Five are blind and one has a huge scratch. Your tread seams to be the first version - probably fits the first generation motor to get those two sets even more different ;)
Speed Champions is a licensed theme, so it wouldn’t be part of that Classic set. And from what I’ve seen, Dots is quite popular with friends’ daughters, who love to “decorate” what they build. I figure Dots will be around for at least another five years. (Though without minifigs, old Dots sets are unlikely to increase in value that much.)
As much as I am a huge fan of DOTS, think the theme has only gotten better and better each year, and am aware of the extravagant scale of marketing LEGO has been doing for the theme, maybe I just think they could've picked a different set to represent the theme here. It doesn't seem immediately clear to people unfamiliar with the theme that the pineapple is meant to be a pencil holder. In terms of a different theme altogether? Maybe Mindstorms? Or Legends of Chima? (Never owned a Chima set.)
I recently got a LEGO order in the mail, and the LEGO box (the inner box) was literally torn open in a way that could not have happened during shipping. No LEGO were missing, but still! I let LEGO know and they sent me 700 vip points.
DOTS is the BEST EVER LEGO theme :D a future Classic :D + I got the same Star Wars stuff in my box from LEGO yesterday :P I can't wait to build Luke's Landspeeder :P
Hey Jaabo Thanks for the Milo update. You came alive and your smile was ten feet wide when you mentioned him. Congratulations again to you and to your daughter and son in law. DOTS - is incredibly popular theme both with children and the AFOL and I’m really not sure why? I struggle with the mosaics and art sets and with 1x1 anything. I find it very difficult mainly because I have sausage fingers. It’s a big seller for LEGO. But, it should not have been included in the 90th anniversary Classic box along with what are significant milestones in LEGO history. I guess the counter argument could be that it has redefined LEGO in as much as it’s enhanced it’s “for adults” theme by crossing-over into LEGO Art? As for Fabuland. It’s become ridiculously expensive to purchase. I’m thankful that I started collecting the theme when you could still find complete sets for a few pounds. I’ve only had to pay more to complete the theme for the last half dozen sets. My niece, in California, just sent us the 4 LEGO plush spacemen. I thought the postage was outrageous at $59. But, then I guess it has come 5500 miles…. But, postage costs have increased significantly here in the U.K. too. Interestingly, I was talking to our DPD courier recently about LEGO sending sets (purchased online via the LEGO website) to the U.K. - I believe all our sets come from mainland Europe? He told me that DPD got as little as £1.50 ($2.30) for each package. I guess the courier market is a cut throat business. There is no way Royal Mail could compete with that!
@@BrickTsar Only 11 sets to go until I have the complete collection of Belville! And maybe you just nudged Dots over the edge with this video...but it was already on the brink of discontinuation 😅😂
I had the same thing happen to my keychain. Didn’t seem to hurt the other items in the box but I agree it was disheartening it came apart in the shipping box.
I actually don’t have the instructions but there are some people that built it that shared a lot of pictures as they did and I’m hoping to reverse engineer it. Or maybe somebody will post the instructions lol
Dots doesn’t belong. Period. I like dots and I find the pieces useful at 50% off or better but still it doesn’t belong. Now you got me triggered too. I might have to do my own rant video. #BAT do you have any outstanding bricklink orders that haven’t shipped in multiple months. Every BrickTsar video is a haul
Good to hear your family is doing well. I am super excited that it is Earl costing you money and not me for a change. 🤣🤣
Hahahaha

That's what I came to the comments for. I recall from childhood experiencing two different kinds of material for the track treads.
That is exactly how I got my beskar keychain pre- scratched by lego, and a damaged aunt Beru

Omg will there be… DotsFigs?
Milo has a sick liquor cart hahaha!

700 VIP points don’t cut it, demand a new box or for them to send the set again
@@hanzocloud yeah…this literally just happened too
Update: LEGO is sending me a new set

Cool stuff Jaabo! Have fun holding that Grandson there Grandpa! Keep up the good work ! ! ! ! !
Yup my order is the same as yours, and my key chain was the same thing loose...smh!

tbh i'm surprised they didn't put Hidden Side on there.
My Beskar keychain was floating loose in the shipping box too.
56 years of lego trains
why wasn't the box the beskar was in sealed so it wouldn't open during packing or transit
It's me, I'm people who enjoy the charm of Belville! Lol! 😅
Indeed! You’ve built an impressive collection. I think I killed Dots with this video lol

Spending your money. That’s what I do. Lol
Lego orders from Chicago seem to take two weeks or longer, for fedex ground to get them to Memphis Tennessee
people love dots, I love dots. This is very old man yells at cloud.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. I guess you plan on not aging.
@@BrickTsar That is the duality of the Afol.
I like dots.. but i miss Speed champions, modular building, model team and trains
Lookinng forward to see the Ferguson come together. Guess you got the instructions somehow.

#BAT wouldnt it be cool if you build the 90th minibuild next to the original build? I think you got them all? It's okay for me if you skip Dots. 😉
