In this video I'll be going over a new formation and tactics I've made for post-patch FC24, the 4-3-2-1. This formation is very very versatile and I've noticed that it's very effective across all avenues of gameplay. Tiki taka slow build up, counter-attacking, long balls, etc. This formation can do it all while still being defensively sufficient.

can you explain why would you would put a full back in this case llorente in balanced attack, like what the explanation behind it, I know you said in the video thats it mainly to cover the center for the cm who is go forward in this case salah, but wouldn´t this just make a whole in your rightback area defensively I dont get why you would do that... Please answer Nahweeezy and what a great video!!
the hole that gets made will get covered up because the CDM will drop back a little more and allow the CBs to go a little more wide and cover the space that the attacking fullback left behind, so usually it’ll look like you have 3 center backs when the fullback runs up. and then when you lose the ball, that attacking fullback will get into position fast before the other team can utilize any space
Can you do a camera and controller settings too? You play co-op 20-0 now?
His camera is on co-op with 20 height, it's honestly the best setting
I’ve noticed I have trouble defending specific when someone plays between my CB for some reason I have trouble switching between the defender it always switches me to the one in the worst position
everyone is having this issue, ea messed up player switching this year it’s annoying
manual switching is the only solution to this
Everything in this game is bad. Defence sucks, attacking ai sucks, passing sucks, even switching is bad

Cheers for this. Would Thunderstruck Frenkie work as the cdm? He's a great passer but maybe too weak defensively. I also have Makelele, but I don't like him on the ball.

I would make sure your CM on balanced attack is good enough defensively to make up for it as they’ll be next to each other in defense

@@JW-28 hahaha ur a Rat as well coz according the pitch notes any number above 44 would do auto offside traps and higher the number the more aggressive AI would do it alongside over load ball side which is why on Next GEN all u gotta do switch sides again n again.
Old gen is full of rats playing 4321 or 3 back formations

Hmm, how does that defend ? I tried using come back on defense on both CFs in a 4321 and they actually dropped in the middle pushing my CDM on the side in the defense. When i expected them to come back next to the line and have a 451 in the defense.
Where is the boarder of ratnes? 71 depth abuse is not ratty but cutbacks are?
Exactly the same as someone else commented I got blanc running half way up the pitch for no reason

zidane 92 is an insane card but bellingham in my opinion

I've got him left cm, and an actual attacker rcm, but it depends if you have a solid cdm, if not, I've used him there before but it's definitely not his best position

Do you know by any chance why the central cm moves to the side on defense, i have declan there and every time my opponents are attacking he goes wide instead of staying in the middle, and im sure he's not on cover wing because I've checked a couple of times

My go to formation was 3421 pre patch. After the patch I can't defend witj it I am always without my RM/LM using come back to defence, and I can't switch probably even with full power cross lol I am getting destroyed too bad I really really did like 3421 in atk and def pre patch
u liked it because it was ratty. it was the same as a 5 back formation
3/5 at the back formations were nerfed hard. the wingbacks will come back too slowly. you’re gonna have to switch to 4 defenders

Ohh it was: Significantly lowered the track back speed of AI teammate wingbacks in 3 and 5 at the back formations.

4-2-4 has been the best for me, a lot of options, more fun.

@@AndrewCr7 try 4-3-3 (4), depth 71, RW&LW cut inside and come back for defense, CAM free roam, ST stay central, get in behind, LB &RB stay back, over lap, CM and CBs stay back cover center and stick to position

I think somethings wrong with my head or sum, cause i did this exact same tactics and all i can say is it is fucking horrible. The one defender that s supposed to be my main CDM defends as LM, the LCAM switches sides with my ST, and there s too much distance between my defenders and the midfielders. It s one simple pass away from letting your team defenders against 5 attackers.
The 4-3-3 (5) video you did is about an offensive formation and yet that one defends better than this crap

Try second man team press option. There's a lot of videos made on it. Maybe it will you a bit
Outside the box use running jockey all ways. In the box when someone is left sticking use regular l2 when u see them start sprinting again start holding r2 if they go back to left stick l2 again rinse repeat in the box this tactic on the wings when someone is sprinting full speed w ur defender and u think their gonna cut in only hold r2 sprint because it will keep ur player from sliding while trying to stop in front ur opponent on the wings. Hope this helps and also if ur opponent holds the ball use r1 second man press and use another player to mark the passes. Hope this help bc this is all their is to defense that I mentioned besides right stick switch
