Love pork tenderloin, such a versatile cut. It's also our go to for stir fry. Ya done good boy! You only made one mistake....................water to dilute the bbq sauce? No brother, bourbon.......only bourbon!!😉
We do pork tenderloin often but never did it on the smoker. Gonna try this. We love tenderloin sandwiches (midwestern IL staple). My wife has developed her own coating for the sandwiches. Never did it on the flat top either as they cook quick. Gonna try that also. Your ideas and recipes are excellent. Love your videos.
Great job. Pork tenderloin is my favorite thing to cook on the smoker. Never thought of wrapping them in tinfoil like ribs. Will definitely cook this way the next time. Appreciate all y’all do. Keep up the good work.
Low and slow pork tenderloin on the Traeger is one of my wife’s favorites. Suggest you always cook them with a probe as Neal did ……….super easy to overcook them.
My wife got one of these on accident a few weeks ago when I sent her with my weekly list and I froze it and haven’t figured out the best way to cook it up. Now I’m thinking smoked pork tenderloin sandwiches, salads, something with potatoes… I still need to think that through. Thank you Neil!
Great cook! I don't know it altitude makes a difference. I've been pulling all my pork @ 130-135 degrees for the last 30yrs. I'm @ 78ft above sea level here in Napa California. Perfect every time!
That I do not know...typically 145 is considered safe...i pulled at 142...BUT I didnt have the grill hot to build energy...if I was grilling over charcoal..i would have pulled early....interesting idea of altitude...
Neal, have you ever made Canadian bacon with tender loin? Game changer! Put in brine 7 to 10 day's and then smoke to 145 internal..... you won't be disappointed!
I am as bigger fan of cured pork (bacon, ham, sausage) but that looks really good. Hard to go wrong with a tenderloin unless you put BBQ sauce on it but the other looked awesome! 👍
@PelletsandPits yes many times. In the 70s, I salt crusted a few. Get some kosher salt mix with some egg whites. Wrap it in salt. Place in smoker. When done crack open the salt so good.
I literally just pulled two tenderloins off the Traeger pellet smoker. Sliced it thin, placed it on toasted buns and added Sonny's sweet BBQ. Fkn delicious
Same protein two completely different flavor profiles. I’ve smoked plenty but never wrapped one … Guess what I’m doing with the next one? 😎 Going to use a rib glaze in the wrap rather than honey … Keep cooking kids! Thanks for the constant inspiration! 🍻
This foil method is our new favorite way to do it! Even my mother in law who doesnt like smoked food loved it! Thank you!
Hey that awesome
