It looks like the overall color story of Biba is more subtle, a little softer/less opaque & more cool leaning with the browns being more pinky/red in comparison to the Melt Rust palette. I haven't seen either palette in person & judging the nuances of color is difficult on a monitor, but that is how it looked on your eyes/skintone in this demonstration. Melt shadows really pack a punch & I think that can be both a good & bad thing depending on the look you're going for & your application process. Biba seems like a good palette for someone who wears natural, neutral or soft looks daily. Really fun to see these palettes compared on each eye like this. Great job!👍
I’ve got Biba and a light-medium skintone, plus I’m north of 40 and not going anywhere with a dramatic smoky eye, so I guess I’m good! Thanks, Alicia, you just saved me $60!
On my aged oily lids even Pat's neutral shadows look harsh and crease. I am Natasha's addict. Never used coloured shadows in my youth, thanks to Natasha now I can enjoy colours without regrets. ( I can even take a nap, my eye shadows will still stay flawless).
No shade whatsoever to melt, but you can truly see a clear difference in quality, blendability, pigmentation, and overall beauty of ND eyeshadows. Love your in depth videos and content- thanks Alicia ❤️❤️
I’ve been watching your channel for a little bit now. You’re personality is just so lovely and your content is fantastic. I would watch you review cereal💙
Both beautiful but I think I prefer the ND overall look/blendability and formula- or just the tones on your skin. Don’t get me wrong, both are gorgeous on you- but I’m just going by how it looks on the video. Thanks Alicia! Great job and I love how you narrate your thoughts and perspective on each look and tone comparison! That last look was really pretty!!
I loved seeing more looks with Biba!! I haven’t had mine very long but it’s one of my favorite palettes and this has given me more inspiration. I’m gonna pass on the Rust palette but I’m definitely gonna get that gel liner. It’s so pretty!!
BRB, the RUclips did not tell me you actually had done the Rust review already. Gonna watch that, have a strong worded conversation with my account and come back to this.
What a great comparison - now I know I can forego Rust and just keep using my beloved Biba. I was already skeptical of the Melt palette because I’ve already returned two that just weren’t up to snuff. I’m glad it is an improvement for Melt tho because they do have interesting color ways.
Ok so as I drink a mimosa and live comment on this video it occurred to me ... why dont you do LIVE tutorials!?!?!?! Especially while we in quarantine and bored bored lol I'd watch it ✋🏾🙋🏾♀️🤗🥰
Adore my Biba, adore my MELT stacks (4) and palettes (2) One day I will adore the Rust Palette and it will become part of my shadow family, one day ~~~ for now, I will watch Alicia play, compare, create, scrutinize colors, hues, textures and tones. ♥ Stay safe Alicia, thank you for you. Queen of delving, digging deep into color subtleties and stating the practical. From an unpractical girl ~~~ I want them all...okay, not all, a lot? Many? Most? Okay, all, but that is not practical or prudent. Hugs, from a gal on a no buy that was month to month, now a no buy for the for see able future. Time to love your stash more than ever! Your stash: your family, your friends, your loved ones. Stay safe. Everyone.
I love the Melt Gemini palette! And I am really getting more into my Biba palette. Thx for the Rust palette review. I know I don't neeeed it but I want it!!
This is brilliant and so helpful! I love that you’re reviewing new stuff while also revisiting older products. It makes my no buy during this crisis easier than watching videos focused exclusively on new releases. I will be busting out my Biba palette to wear around my house today and be seen by no one! 😆 Thank you!
I love Melt palettes, but they need to get their shimmers together. My Gemini palette (when it first come out), Gemini just crumbled with a brush or sponge applicator.
Darnit, did my eye look before I watched your video! Tempted to wipe it off and grab my Biba. Your looks were GORGE and inspired me to play with that palette more. Hearting your content right now!
THANK YOU for continuing to post content right now. These are truly unprecedented, somber times... But I would much, MUCH rather try to discern the differences between these 2 palettes than worry about whether or not I will be able to buy eggs for my children next week.
I love videos like these because of the detail in the comparison. Like I literally rewatch your comparison videos so often just because I think theyre so good.
Hi Alicia, thank you for putting ND Biba and MELT to the same/different test. You're so amazing at doing these spot the difference reviews and go there with your level of detail! Appreciate your content and company always. 😘😘😘
I have Biba and haven't used it yet, now is the time to dive in. Thank you for all your recent videos and live feeds. you are helping us get through this!!
Brilliant! Here lies the reason why you are the best at doing theses head to head , multiple look videos! While the goal may be to decide which one makes more sense for you, it made me want them BOTH 😂
You’re so awesome girl! You got me watching this even though I’m not even thinking of getting rust (but of course I already have biba😂). Your eyeshadow application and color pairing is so good! 🧚🏽♀️
Just got the Rust and She’s in Parties pallets, which seem to be their top pallets, at least for me. Love the BIBA and have that too. The Rust pallet is more of a grungy vibe and you need to dip out for a highlight shade, but I like both of these pallets; BIBA and Rust.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 this is the kind of videos I really enjoy of you alicia, thanks so much 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 great option but still IN LOVE OF LY BIBA PALETTE 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have the Biba palette but I will still pick up this melt palette because the melt stack was a palette I had plan to buy last year and did not get around to and now it is discontinued. I feel melt will be very dark skin friendly. That does not mean my Biba does not do an excellent job on me.
Thank you Alicia! I really REALLY enjoyed this video. It helps with "comparison shopping". I feel now I have a better understanding of the similarities and differences between the pallets and can choose which one is right for me or if I maybe need both.
Ok back! Thank you for this comparisons! I found this super comprehensive. I was wondering, for the people who have/want Rust, when you said that Rubbish was not as peachy or as yellow as the shades you were comparing from Biba if you could dip a little into the peach or the apricot in to mix it with. Asking because that’s what I would do, but I’m also hella pale so I don’t know if that’d wash Rubbish out on a deeper skin tone.
So excited to see this upload! Appreciate all the content and filming you are doing - your videos are always my respite from the real world and now even more so. I watched your Rust review earlier today while I was working (boss can’t see that now, haha) and I was so curious about the Biba comparison. Such a great idea to play with them like this! Thank you!! 🙏🏼😘
I have BIBA & love it ! I wanted rust but now I think I might save my coins or wait for a sale 😅 brilliant ideas Alicia & thx for saving me some money for now 💸💸💸 I used biba but now def need to use her again & try the looks you created xoxo thank you for giving us a breeze of fresh air in this difficult time 🙌❤️🙏🏼💪🏻 stay safe everyone !!
If you press the spot shade back into the pan it will stay. It’s a cream to powder formula so you just need to really press it back down firmly into the Pan like a putty.
It would have been nice to see that black in Biba... Because the biba pallete seem lighter and the blak is there to deepen your look. While in the mel pallette thet put the black pigment in the shades!
I have the Biba palette and I love it so so much. I think that as consumers we have to be more mindful about how to spend our coins. Personally I have 28 eyeshadow palettes and it is a lot for a makeup enthusiast. I gave away one MAC warm neutral palette for my cousin, a palette that I adore but I am sure I need two lives to get through my palettes. So if we have makeup that can give us similar look then we don’t have to hoard. Right?
I did click to find the difference! you are the best mind reader! Usually I would be who has time to blend...but that's not an issue anymore. Gotta get the Biba out today.
Going against the tide but i really like the melt palette. I don't have biba though. Ahhh, if only for the money, money that i don't have for now for either, i would buy biba because of alicia's opinion.
Thank you Alicia for helping me see that I can achieve similar looks with my Biba palette until this whole debacle is over and I can order from Melt again! I was wondering if any of the shades in Rust may also be similar to ColourPop's California Love palette?
For me personally, if I had to only choose one fo these two palettes, I’d choose ND. There’s more shades to choose from and I’m so pale the Melt palettes are almost too much color for someone like me. (Even though I love them)
It’s very clear that the Biba palette is far more uniquely beigey than the Rust palette. HOWEVER you can find dupes for most if not all the Biba shades in the Sydney Grace formula. I’d love to see a comparison between those two formulas
The new artist couture eyeshadow palette is beautiful to me and I kinda want to have it in my collection but I do think the biba palette has similar shades. If you do get the new palette can you compare them😘
Keep the content coming girl! Hope you are well!! I had a video idea request.... this has inspired me to mash up palettes I have for new combos and I was wondering since you are the queen of tutorials IF you could also be inspired to continue to do mashups???? Examples Melt Gemini vs Rust, ND Safari vs Melt Rust or Gemini, CT vs ND, ND sunrise vs love, mother pat blonde platinum vs viseart paris edit, etc... inspires us to use what we have... make new looks with them AND passes time 🤟🏼
Hello Alicia, I know this is a old palette. But I have been going through my eyeshadow palettes trying to see the looks influences have done with them. I have a lot of eyeshadow palettes and I want to use palettes that I haven’t used. I been on a low buy No buy and I have a small space & I don’t have the room to keep adding more palettes. Anyway I enjoyed the looks you did here. But then again I always enjoy your looks. Thanks for sharing and always making us if we need both or not. Most will just say buy both. At list your honest. Big blessings Alicia.🥰🥰
Alicia I had a mini heart attack when you put the brush to your eyes in the second look😂. That was too close for comfort. Thank you for your awesome reviews. Be safe!
Heyyy hun I am a pilates instructor and all the mascaras I have tried transfer...(Dior, Tom Ford all, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Too Faced...and more) Can you pleaseeee recommend a mascara that doesn’t transfer? yensid Yes- agree!
Shadow Showdown should be a series! This was great
Life On A Budget great idea!
Seconded!

6 minutes in and I’m adding Biba to my cart to wait for Sephora’s sale. Cuz we broke right now! That’s girl. U do the most. I appreciate you.
“Thanks girl”*
I love my biba palette ❤ it's so pretty, smooth and just uhmazing!
With Biba you will not be disappointed. So love mine.
I would recommend the Alter Ego dupe palette named Sahara. Alter Ego does very excellent dupes for a much better price.
Syd, alter ego doesn’t match the Natasha Denona quality though. Her quality is worth the price.
Thank you for helping me makeup my mind & save some money. I don’t need rust. Because Biba is my EVERYTHING!!!
You are so right!
I’ve been watching your channel for a little bit now. You’re personality is just so lovely and your content is fantastic. I would watch you review cereal💙

Like the looks from the Biba palette.

Thank you for such a thorough comparison. This really helped with my (potential) purchase!

This is such a fun concept!! Maybe the next battle can be viseart’s rosé edit ( I don’t think you did a full review on this one) vs ND Love 🤗
Or the PMG VII
Hi Alicia, thank you for putting ND Biba and MELT to the same/different test. You're so amazing at doing these spot the difference reviews and go there with your level of detail! Appreciate your content and company always. 😘😘😘

Nice video! Comparison videos are always good and helpful, especially if you were considering the Melt Rust palette
Alicia, this is an excellent comparison video! I didn't think that the palettes would have such a similar color story.
You are a breath of fresh. Love your personality and I especially like when you say, “that’s enough”.
Great video idea and execution! Want more like this.
You’re so awesome girl! You got me watching this even though I’m not even thinking of getting rust (but of course I already have biba😂). Your eyeshadow application and color pairing is so good! 🧚🏽♀️

Why do we have people disliking this video? It's stupid. If you don't like it, just move alone. I hate people
I’m glad I found this video. I’ve been thinking about Rust but I already have Biba and I enjoy it. I don’t need another palette if I have biba.
Thanks Alicia, for me it's Biba by a longshot.
Thank you so much for all the content you've been putting out. You are truly keeping me sane ❤️
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 this is the kind of videos I really enjoy of you alicia, thanks so much 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 great option but still IN LOVE OF LY BIBA PALETTE 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰
Ok you’ve made me want Biba that I’ve been on the fence about. I don’t do smoky looks but love how it turned out on you.
Thank you for continuing to create content💙💙💜💜💜
Truly enjoyed this comparison.
Thanks for making this video I was wondering this.
Thank you for watching! Happy it helped!
What a great idea! Love your detailed breakdowns of these shadows.
Thank you. I have the biba palette. Would love to see some looks with the bottom row too - sculpt etc...👍🏻
I have the Biba palette but I will still pick up this melt palette because the melt stack was a palette I had plan to buy last year and did not get around to and now it is discontinued. I feel melt will be very dark skin friendly. That does not mean my Biba does not do an excellent job on me.
I don't know. I like the looks with Melt cosmetics better. I'm going to pick up the Rust palette.
Thank you Alicia! I really REALLY enjoyed this video. It helps with "comparison shopping". I feel now I have a better understanding of the similarities and differences between the pallets and can choose which one is right for me or if I maybe need both.
Loved these comparisons great video Alicia as always 😊
Thanks for the comparison. I don't have any melt eyeshadows so I may add this to cart

All of these looks made me want both palettes 😂 what lash is she wearing? It definitely enhances the look without taking over I love it.
M Moore ardell style 7000, she said it several times😉
Girl I want everyone interpretation of every color palette lol 🤭
Oooo so glad you did this video! I want Gemini so badly! Was gong to order during their sale but they had to postpone it! Ugh!
👌🏾🤘🏾👍🏾 All of the things I am feeling rn. I should be asleep, but I needed to see this review before I rest my eyelids. Thank you for this! 🤗
It would have been nice to see that black in Biba... Because the biba pallete seem lighter and the blak is there to deepen your look. While in the mel pallette thet put the black pigment in the shades!
Finally ordered Biba so excited for it to be delivered.
Ooooo I can’t wait for you to try Biba 😍
Yes! I've been waiting on my KS tute. I'm going to treat myself and get one of ND's palettes.
I see many similarities between rust and naked honey too🤔. Naked Honey is one of my favorites. As is Biba. I’ve never owned a melt palette
I have the Biba palette and I love it so so much. I think that as consumers we have to be more mindful about how to spend our coins. It’s very clear that the Biba palette is far more uniquely beigey than the Rust palette.
HOWEVER you can find dupes for most if not all the Biba shades in the Sydney Grace formula. I’d love to see a comparison between those two formulas
Yay this gave me inspo to take Biba aka Beebs out tomorrow! 💋
Omg I call mine beebs too 😂😂😂
Here I am 😘 Have been considering Biba, maybe one more look into it might help me.
Alter ego has a biba dupe
The new artist couture eyeshadow palette is beautiful to me and I kinda want to have it in my collection but I do think the biba palette has similar shades. If you do get the new palette can you compare them😘

Thank you for the video!🌹Awesome as always🌸
Hi,
First at all hope your family and you are fine. Please can you tell me which lashes did you wear in the first makeup?
Thank you!!!
Nice comparison!!! Can you find a dupe for Tom Ford cocoa Mirage!!
Alicia I had a mini heart attack when you put the brush to your eyes in the second look😂. That was too close for comfort. Thank you for your awesome reviews. Be safe!
Also, third look was crazy similar! I love Biba and will have to recreate it.
Love love the lipstick also. I do not own biba or Rust..the rust kit is sold out. :-( can't afford ND. Thank you for your review 🥰🥰
And the oscar of the best comparisons go to .... Aliicia. Thank you soooo much xoxo
I dont want either palette, I do however want your eye brush collection 😂😂😂🙏
Thank you friend! I so appreciate these videos! 😘 Stay safe!
Heyyy hun I am a pilates instructor and all the mascaras I have tried transfer...(Dior, Tom Ford all, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Too Faced...and more) Can you pleaseeee recommend a mascara that doesn’t transfer? ( I do set my under-eye with some translucent powder then a little finishing powder but I hate to bake because of lines) thank you! Love your videos 😘💕💕
Would you be willing to do rust + 27 or rust + Gemini? 😍😍😍
I love melt...but I am going to wait. I have the Biba palette and do not use it as much as I should
Dear Alicia 😊 Love your videos. A happy place when i need to relax. Stay safe 🥰
Ok girl, now I know this is completely off topic but I need retail therapy. I need your help bc I can’t decide. CT pillow talk palette, or ND love palette. What I want is rust and Gemini but waiting for melt to reopen and these 2 palettes I have talked myself out of numerous time. Or should I just get biba? Seriously help me make the choice.
Excellent work!!
I’ve been waiting! Lol who else is waiting for rust to drop at Sephora.com
As if this decision wasn't already hard. LOL!!!! I love Melt! Guess I'm probably getting this one. I love my stacks! But if this palette is hitting this hard. Hmm...I don't know. 🥰💖💕😍
