Debbie Shore has a couple of backpack type bags on her RUclips channel. No pattern, just measurements but they go together really well and easy to size up or down. Good luck with the job next week xx
Nice video. I find that it's a little bit of a process to see which patterns we like once they are made up and whether they fit or not. I, too, have gained some weight and am trying to make some more jeans but my back is horrible right now. Sitting at the machine is not doable. I see the neurosurgeon at the end of next month. I have never tried bag making but it seems like a lot of fun. You are definitely gutsy to try making one without a pattern. Have a great week at your new job! Colleen
Hi Jen. I would love to see the denim skirt that you make. The Itch to Stitch pattern you showed is one I’ve thought about getting also. I love a good denim skirt! I agree about the Naya tee. I couldn’t figure out why it became so popular. Thanks for sharing!
The Myosotis is my fav pattern ( with an FBA). It is such a shame, after all your hard work, that the bust is too small. Regardless, I love your dress and feel inspired to have a go using the same fabric. I love the lemon fabric but think the designer did not fully consider how the band would stand on the body. Love everything else, and I must motivate myself to make the Stella joggers as I have the book, fabric and contrast band/cord. Above all, I hope that you have a fantastic first day. As a fantastic sewist with vision, get ready for the compliments about your handmade garments 👖 ✂️ 👗 ❤
@onegirlcreates An FBA will give you the extra width and the extra centre length you need to go over your curves. I shorten the length of the waist dart so that it stops an inch short of my bust point and re-angle the tip of the side dart to point to my BP. Let us know how your first day goes. I don't know you however over the time watching your blogs, I know that you are a great person. Be happy....and find the kitchen for a cuppa
I think the Naya is too basic a pattern to look good on most people (though the second one with better drape is a big improvement). W&W’s Cuppa Tee is my go to tee-shirt. Lovely makes. Noodlehead bags are my current temptation- I have purchased a backpack but not made it yet. You are looking and sounding better already, the wrong job can be so destructive, well done for being brave and changing course.
I like your joggers and the plantain. And I also like your Naya from the viscose. And you are right, that it is not a pattern suitable for cotton. I use completely different patterns for viscose than for cotton. And I sized down on the Naya and made it longer, so I found exactly your concerns. Good luck with your job.
You myosotis looks good on you. I’ve sewn a different size back and front on the myosotis before - If that makes sense - so a size 40 back and 38 front.

Thanks for the tip. xx
Great to see you yesterday. Good luck with the bag making, I'm looking forward to hearing/ seeing all about it x
Thank you! You too! xx

Sorry to hear that Colleen, I hope the neurosurgeon has some answers for you. xx
Plaid rainbow fabric is so pretty ❤

Hi Jen! So great to see you! I'm listening to you as I watch my granddaughter and spend time with my hubby.
Love that! xx
The dress is beautiful.
You did a very job with matching the stripes!
Thanks Zelda. xx

Yeah, I think I could do with an FBA on it, looking at the pics the bust darts are off. I definitely need to do some work on it. xx

Off to look at noodlehead bags! Thank you. xx
I think the rainbow tartan dress is cute, Jen. Yeah, too tight. 😢 Have a lovely week. -Kelly
Thank you, I will definitely revisit it but I need to redo the top pattern pieces. xx

Denim skirt is so all year round!!!😊
Isn't it!!! xx
Love your joggers❤
Thanks Karol. xx

Make complete sense and such a good idea. xx
I really, really like your beautiful plaid dress. Please, what pattern did you use. That is a nice dress.🤗🤗🤗
It's the myosotis from deer and doe. xx
I'm not a lover of the Naya pattern. It's the ends of the sleeves that stick out pointy I think makes it look weird
They really do! xx
