The taro plant are just young, give time to grow... One plant can produce number of taro of about amount 1kg as the plants are so big..... In odisha from one plant numbr of taro withh very large size produce.

In Malaysia we plant this type of taro and we called it 'chinese taro' or in Malay language 'keladi cina' coz when CNY arrive every year, this taro will become expansive and we got lot of money😀

Loss for the stems and leaves. We don't throw away like u do. We dry it and use it in our cuisines. Also we cook and feed the pigs too
