    Really practical ideas. I love them. Just wishful thinking right now of something cool for the metal apron. I know it can’t be done but wouldn’t it be cool if you cut rectangles into each side and put lcd screens in them and they brought up those cards for every game you selected? I think that would be awesome.

    • @evilgeniusentertainment
      @evilgeniusentertainment  Месяц назад

      I think that's a sweet idea. I suppose you could clone the main playfield then maybe (somehow) zoom into the playcard part of the apron?

    How about a Video showing the actual installation of the APRON onto the Playfield (Monitor)? I'm having a hard time visualizing how a Metal Apron is being attached to the Playfield Monitor. Thanks.

    • @evilgeniusentertainment
      @evilgeniusentertainment  Месяц назад +1

      You just lay it down on the playfield! Now you could put little felt feet on it the bottom of the apron, or screw it directly to the cab itself (which make taking the screen out impossible), but I just set it straight on the monitor.

    • @kdub1159

      @@evilgeniusentertainmentdirectly on the monitor your not worried about scratches?

    • @evilgeniusentertainment
      @evilgeniusentertainment  Месяц назад

      I just put a little black gorrila tape on the bottom edge. No scratches so far! Remember that the apron doesn't move at all (unless you're really blasting your cab). You could also put little felt feet on the corners (which I though about doing, but the tape seems to be working well enough).

    Thanks for the video, but I'm a bit confused. My Popper wheel is at the top of the playfield and upside down since I added a 17" monitor for my back box and threw off my settings.
    Wich part of the configuration will move the popper wheel back to the borrom of my playfield ?

  • @HorrorRod

    I just added wheels to my HD ALP but other than that I just put a space projector ceiling thing on the top next to my 3rd monitor on top as well. Unless Nightmare on Elm gets a 4k ALP release im just sticking with my og HD ALP hooked to a pc.

      Metal by the foot stores often times have untapped technical skills ya might bring that piece in with the measurements for a smaller version for ur alp 4k and ask the shop guys if they can replicate it maybe? just an idea I used to use them a lot for skateboard stuff.

    • @evilgeniusentertainment

      I keep the 4KP pretty much at 50% (although some games (like ST:TNG) I turn up louder. Basically the same for my homebrew pin as well - basically everything at 50%, turn up or down as needed.

    So the apron is going to be the same for every table and cover up any aprons with rom lights. Na, your losing all of that art work specific to every table.

    • @evilgeniusentertainment
      @evilgeniusentertainment  Месяц назад

      You do... but then again, are you really looking to see how many quarters it takes for a game/rules list? I think it adds a lot to the illusion... but I totally understand not doing it to!

    • @3rdaxis649
      @3rdaxis649 Месяц назад +1

      @@evilgeniusentertainment Well for some tables like my Firepower Vs A.I. it's very necessary to see what state the game is in at any given time. And the Flintstones table's apron is part of the ball path that deposits it to either flipper that you definitely need to see. And yea of course, you are covering the instruction cards to EVERY game including original games. We put a ton of work into those aprons;) It would be like me putting a bra over the Mona Lisa... Wow it's like 3d dude, lol.
