Thanks for this video! You just solved a question I had about how to implement the circuit for a lightbar that ONLY comes on with the high beams, yet also has a manual on/off in the cab. (So it doesn't come on with the high beams,) but most videos/instructions leave this necessary detail out. I'd been thinking that laying out the circuit pretty much the way you had your driving lights circuit laid out would work correctly, and you just verified it. Thank you!
@@HelpMeDIY turn off the lights when starting a vehicle (my motorcyle does this). disable the use of a convertible top when starting the car. disable the air conditioning compressor when the ecu detects an overheating situation. (my sports car does this). the list is just about endless as to what one may want to prevent from happening while something else is happening, assuming the thing that IS happening demands a relay. of course, the thing that one wishes to prevent from happening need not involve a relay.

Does the control of the relay ever pass current or voltage to the input and output (pin 30 to pin 87) of the relay?
87a is convienent to use when it's necessary to turn something off when you turn the relay on.
