  • Learn to paint Poppies with Caitie and Peerless Watercolors in this second installment of our flower painting series.
This watercolor tutorial is actually a 2 for 1!
These are Caitie's mother's favorite flower and they happen to be some of ours too!
When we bought our house we had a huge garden filled with them but going into the following spring sooooommmeeeone cough*Cassie*cough picked them all thinking they were weeds.
    Anyway...
If you didn't see our first video the idea behind this series (besides being a great flower tutorial series) is to paint these for your mom for the upcoming Mother's Day.
Then on the back of the painting, you can write something nice to your mom like your favorite memory together or a list of the other moms you know your mom could beat in a fight.

This was such a great tutorial, thank you! I like using pens over my work as well, it makes things come alive. Maybe next time we'll get to enjoy the magic of peeling away the tape from the edges. It's one of my favorite things to see. Beautifully done.
