The same exact reactions, expressions and emotions when I was walking in towards the Taj... I will never forget that feeling. It took me quite awhile to just stare at it... took sooo many photos.. My husband is an architect and he was gobsmacked on the delicate details of the building... I couldn't believe my eyes...The feeling of seeing it in reality when you just looked at it and read about it in books before is now right in front of you.... I completely understand how you felt during that moment of seeing the structure... The Taj was my second place to be ticked off my wonders of the world list...The first was the Great wall of China... Looking forward to tick off the others too...

I cried when I saw Taj Mahal infront of my eyes, and cried harder when the tour guide told us the story behind it. Some of the stories were locals lang usually yung may alam, na wala sa google mga beh.
Those gates/structures na nakapalibot sa Taj Mahal were made for his other wives and children. He even made a small version - the black one at the back of the Taj for himself. Para daw lagi nyang natatanaw yung wife nya pero hindi na natapos due to his illness at pumanaw na din katagalan. But you'll see an unfinished structure sa taas, the black version.
If you'll also go to Agra fort, there's a lot of amazing things you'll know. You will also see Taj Mahal from there. Sabi nung tour guide, ewan ko na lang kung marites sya ano, there's a room there for their other children na may good view of Taj, requested daw nung anak in memory of his/her mother. Ang mysterious nung count ng mga ukit dyan. All have meanings which are all very interesting.
Our tour guide also told us that there is a rumor na pinapatay lahat ng workers, sabi naman ng iba pinutulan ng kamay, at tinanggal yung eyes, para daw hindi na magawa yung same design and structure na yan.
Correct me if I'm wrong, there's only one family who still knows how to make those little details sa wall ng Taj Mahal.
I really wanted to go back there. Sabi nila, pag bumalik ka with your loved one, forever mo na yun. Hahahaha! Francis, dapat pagbalik mo dyan may kasama ka ng jowa. 🤣

I admire the structure, at yong pagmamahal niya sa kanyang asawa. Pero may bad side pala, hindi pala totoong mahal na mahal niya yong asawa niya kasi may other wives pala tapos ang ganda nga ng structure pero, natanggal pala ang mata at pinutulan ang kamay yong mga gumawa. Makasalanan pala yang struktura na yan.

Been there last 2018 AGRA (TAJ MAHAL) pero winter sobrang aga 7am kami para iwas sa dagsa ng tao awa ng Diyos nasulyapan namin yan Mausoleum around 1:30am na kc balot sya ng fog sobrang lamig pero worth it yun pag iikot napakaganda napagitnaan yan ng mosque & royal guest house ,sana mapuntahan mo yun kung saan yun cave o entrance na itinanan c Mumtaz Mahal sa FATIPHUR SIKRI
