Trying to remember if my grandparents had this same accent being as they were from corraghy and shercock way. Browne was the surname. The E seems to have been lost when they came to England

Hello, do you know approximately how old Paddy would have been in this video? I have a Great Uncle born in 1907 called John Reilly but know little else about him. Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Kind regards, Jane Miller (née Smith)

This was taken in 1988 & sadly he passed 1989 if I am correct. He was 70 when he passed. He is buried in the graveyard beside the Church in the village of Shercock, Co. Cavan. His first name was John & middle was Patrick. Most folfs of a certain generation went by the middle name. Paddy never married and I think he had two sisters , one lived in Dublin City, & the other lived in Shercock & was the house keeper for the local parish prish but I never meet either. He did have serval brothers & one also lived in the town but I not aware of the others.

Gregory Whelan thank you so much for this update. I’m thinking it’s not the gentleman I’m looking for. My Great Uncle had just 2 sisters, Kate & Alice (the latter being my grandmother), but did hVe 3 half-sisters from their mothers first marriage (to a man named Carroll). This long weekend I may see if I can dig any further in the tree. Thank you again, and Happy Easter to you & your family. Cheers, Jane
