"The Loomer is a ghost trap for the old but unforgotten spheres that also young musicians still try to recreate. It's a unique workstation that serves monstrous fuzz distortion, nostalgic soundscapes and tipsy reverse delay sounds that are all inspired by some of the best effect racks of the late 80s and early 90s! I tried myself to recreate the sound of Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine and Ringo Deathstarr. And I was surprised how close I got with my small home gear."

Hey guys, welcome to the SHOEGAZER Channel once again. IT'S GIVEAWAY TIME! In this video I demoed some short shoegaze songs on the LOOMER workstation by Keeley Electronics. I also give a short tutorial to "Soon" by My Bloody Valentine. You'll find the tuning and the chords in the Discription. The sounds on the Loomer are inspired by some of the best effect racks of the late 80s and early 90s! I tried myself to recreate the sound of Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine and Ringo Deathstarr. And I was surprised how close I got with my small home gear. I hope you enjoy this!

Hi, Kenneth. I've been following your channel for about two years, and I've learnt interesting hacks. I'm so into Shoegaze and Dream Pop. Once I've seen a pedal by Noisemaker Effects, a MBV tribute, but I'm so into this «Loomer». I'm so into Scott Cortez and his projects, so as lovesliescrushing, Astrobrite and Polykroma. I've never listened to any band more inspiring than lovesliescrushing.
I'd feel really pleased when I win this giveaway.
      Thank you.

I want this pedal because My Bloody Valentine is the first band my wife and I bonded over. We were dating and I put on Isn't Anything in the car and everything from that moment on just clicked for us. We began to talk about our lives and how shoe gaze soundtracked nearly every important moment up until our meeting each other. I'd love to use this pedal to easily get the MBV sound and learn "Lose My Breath" for her. It would blow her away on our 12th anniversary. I can come close with my Boss Katana, but this thing is absolutely perfect!

    Nice demo
Seems like 99%of RUclips pedal people are ‘’jamming’’ with tired blues or metal ‘’licks’’
Wish I could afford this one,
Saw the Loveless tour-ears are still recovering.

Finally a channel with a Shoegazer that actually seems to explain how stuff works and is not about the noise for the sake of it. As for the pedal, and oh Lord I want it so badly, it can sound so good for many styles, not only Shoegaze, especially the fuzz can blend so well in the sound as a thick distortion. If I get that pedal, I can finally record my music by having the best texture sound I've seen in a pedal and use it for lead as I bet it can sound be versatile than most demos from this pedal, as of course they focus on the MBV part of it.

This is it. This is the sound that's been in my head all these years, all in a single pedal. The modulating reverb on this thing sounds heavenly on its own, but hearing it paired with that fuzz really nails down that shoegaze sound. Kudos for making such a great demo video, and kudos to Keeley for making such a fantastic sounding pedal.

  • @boergeling93

Awesome to see that a company like Keeley supports smaller channels like yours and not just the big gear reviewers. Your video quality doesn't fall behind theirs and it is great that Keeley recognizes that. Now to the Loomer: The second I heard that reverb sound, I fell in love with the pedal. The fuzz sounds amazing aswell. I need to get this one.

Wow. This pedal is exactly what I've been looking for. I would like it because I think it would really take my sound to the next level. • @Wiaught

Thanks for doing such an awesome video/giveaway! Im obsessed with what you can do with this pedal. The reverse effect has always been my favorite sound mixed with that flat fuzz. I especially like that you can change the placement of the fuzz and reverb. I recently purchased the new Belle Epoch Deluxe and I think this loomer will pair extremely with it for ultimate shoegaze writing. The reason I'd like this pedal is for my lack of having any fuzz or ambient reverbs. Solid pedal and solid video!

FINALLY!A demo of this pedal by someone who knows how to "gaze"! This pedal is down right raw, sounds like each note is a wave of an ocean of fuzz! When I first found your channel I was initially looking for chords but then your review of the reverse reverbs inspired me to pick up the Zoom to pair with my violet fuzz! Great video as always. Also great to see a company like Keeley supporting independent youtubers like yourself. I think the appeal of the pedal for me is how accurately it replicates rack based equipment, alleviating the need for a massive pedalboard and specialist and cumbersome (and possibly expensive) rackmount stuff to get an authentic MBV sound. I'd also really like to see how the fuzz section could work outside of a shoegaze context to see how truly versatile the pedal is.

I discovered this pedal by accident a couple months ago. Thought it was cool that it was named after an mbv song. Watched a lot of bad demos on it that didn't really sell me on the pedal till now. Your pedal reviews are the reason I decided to buy most of what I own. You really sold me on the digitech hardwire, zoom and now the loomer. I definetly need this on my pedalboard now. I just want to make VROOOM VROOOM sounds in my room to fill the void in my loveless soul.

As a relatively young person, I got into shoegaze not thaaaaat long of a time ago, but my passion for it only keeps increasing as time passes! I always find myself struggling to go to bed late at night, just always looking for more bands to add to my playlist, always checking out videos of lives or also looking at your reviews of pedals. Being a person with not that much money on me, buying pedals is incredibly hard and I only have one so far, which I got from my dad some time ago. So even though I would so love to be able to actually create shoegaze music on my own, I simply cannot right now, and looking at your videos always gets me super inspired to try and go after them and just make some beautiful noise! I absolutely loves the sound of this pedal and would kill to have such a thing so I can finally properly play some of my favorite songs for the first time!

Hey shoegazer, love your channel and have been subscribed since the low budget pedalboard tutorial I believe. I've always loved my bloody valentine and you're probably the only person I've learned anything about how to properly play them (as well as others) from. I was also interested in the loomer for a long time before this video, but it was always out of my price range, and to be honest it would be the perfect thing for me, considering I love great fuzz tones and shoegaze tones, and don't have a guitar with a whammy bar (although getting one installed in my sg might be pretty cool)
    . Keep making great videos!

The options you've demonstrated in this pedal, along with everything I've been reading about it lately feels like it will help me create the tone that has been in my head, and that other fuzz and reverb pedals I've tried have been unable to achieve. I've only been playing a few years and none of the songs I've written have been able to encapsulate the tone and emotion of the lyrics quite right. Maybe I'm chasing a dragon. Still, your music and videos inspire me to keep chasing after my tone and voice.

The loomer looks amazing, it would be a great upgrade/addition to my zoom which I purchased last year because of your video. Thanks for your time, me & my friends look forward to seeing what you have in store next. Cheers.

I'm into shoegaze since I find that blend of noise and melody that is inherent to it very appealing.
Shoegaze frees my mind by being massive and detailed at the same time, both when listening to songs and making music by myself.
I really enjoy the latter, fumbling around for sounds and all that but there is one problem: as a student I am not able to afford a lot of pedals. So I would be glad to have one like the Loomer that enables me to be creative without the necessity of having a rack in my room filled with a lot of effects (which would be cool but isn't that realistic).
Finally I want to thank you for the videos you make since I really enjoy them

Been using my cathedral for the reverse reverb but this pedal blows it away. Would love to get my hands on one because they're not around me. Both rack units in one are amazing! Thanks for giving us the chance and giving one away!

hey man, longtime subscriber here...awesome Loomer video! so I’m just now getting into playing the genre of Shoegaze (loved it for a while) and am building a pedalboard from nothing and it sounds like the Loomer would really help me on that quest for the Ultimate Shoegaze Sound!!

You are correct. I just bought a Alesis MidiVerb II and that is it. I'd love this, so I don't have a worry about taking my rack unit with me to shows!

as a future acoustic engineer i love how pedals become each time more and more versatile and small, also the reverb it's freaking awesome. My band it's exploring new grounds, we would love to have a pedal like that. Greetings from Chile

Thanks so much Kenneth! - I bought the Zoom MS-50 after watching your video on it... I’d love to have the Loomer because Reverb and Fuzz are my favorite effects and Keeley makes great pedals. Keep doing what you do!

Thanks for this great review! I would like this pedal because I've been watching Keeley Pedal reviews, and they create quality products. Also, I don't have many pedals and this particular pedal can really get me started in shoegaze music. I have played guitar for about 10 years but I never heard about the shoegaze sub-genre of rock until finding your channel. So thank you for exposing me to awesome music!

I’m happy you reviewed this as I’ve seen reviews of it before and I always wondered if you had done it as Your channels the best for shoegaze. I’d be very happy if I won this as it would be a very big step for my bands sound as none of us really have many pedals yet and it would improve it major! Excellent video x

Great Video, thank you! I once bought the Yamaha FX-500 because I heard that Slowdive were using the Soft Focus effect. I still love it and still use it. It would be great to have those reverb and fuzz effects combined in one stomp box. And it looks really beautiful by the way...

Love your videos! Been looking for a pedal that emulates the Soft Focus patch that Slowdive so famously used. I was massively blown away by how well the scooped fuzz sounded in your demo, definitely something I wanna try. Thanks for everything!

I want this pedal so baddddd. I have wanted to get more into shoegaze guitar, and i just recently ordered a ZOOM CDR pedal, thanks to your videos. The Loomer would be awesome for me because it would get me playing more shoegazey riffs. Great demo and video, keep it up!

I love this pedal and i want it so bad. Because shoegaze is colouring my life and im very very exited that keeley make a pedal that is made for shoegazer it self. If i have this pedal im sure this pedal will be my no 1 weapon to make a shoegaze song with my band. And i hope to, shoegaze will be a big music in my country Indonesia :D thankyou for the video kenneth, especially iam very happy you play soon from my bloody valentine. I just realised i must tuned my guitar in my previous cover video :D Hehe God Bless you Kenneth! And God Bless Shoegaze!

I'd like this pedal as I travel a lot meaning I thrive on gear that gives me a wide variety of tonal options in a more compact space. I know I could happily play with this and just a reverb/delay like the boss tera echo. This pedal first came to my attention when I saw someone play it on Instagram. Thanks for the quality content as usual.

Well, it's really hard to make a shoegaze band in Brazil, but well, this Loomer could help me a lot! MBV, and other shoegaze bands, like DIIV and Astrobrite, really changed the way how I see and listen to music, and really marked all my teenage years. I'm starting a band and sometimes me and the other guitar had some lack of effects, because of the high pricing, etc. Would be amazing have this gift from someone like you!
Great video, your channel is awesome!

Ive been looking at this pedal for a while, the moment I heard Keeley was doing this pedal I was immediately interested as i did not expect Robert to be a fan of shoe gaze. love the sounds that it can create especially the envelope pitch bending feature. Loveless in a box

Great demo. I've been looking at this pedal for a hot minute because I've been thinking about recording a couple shoegaze EPs using only one multi effects pedal at a time. So exploring the limits of what could be squeezed out of this pedal and something like the EHX Holy Stain feels like the creative challenge I've been looking for to dive back into recording again.
