Also there is probably a specific torque that nut should be tight too

It would have been nice to mention the torque setting of the nut after replacement,

All my local shops only carry the quicksilver. What part number for the quicksilver do I need for a 2008 mercury optimax 90hp 2 stroke?

Says "rubber mallet", uses a deadblow hammer instead. 🤷

Hi there i have an 5.7 v8 mercury (sea ray 190 from 1996). You told in the video that all models from 2000 fit this kit. So i can’t put this kit in my propeller because its from 1996?

      Hi, Raymond!
I would say that roughly 1996-2000 had the built in hub kit, whereas 2000 and newer Mercury started building the removable hub kit. So that hub will work it just didn't come with it from OEM.
Please feel free to give us a call and we'll be happy to help answer any prop questions you may have. 1-866-535-1004

      Hi, Fidel.
This is the Flo-Torq II Hub Kit from Mercury. Is that the same as what you purchased? If you want to send us a picture, Andreas can totally take a look and give you some advice. You can send it to andreas@recreationalpowersports.com and explain that you saw his RUclips video for this kit.
Or, if you'd prefer to chat over the phone, you give him a call toll free at 1-866-535-1004 Monday-Friday 8am-5pm MST.
We look forward to chatting props with you!

Pretty sure you're talking about P/N 23-856163A1, it's an extra bushing that is recommended for the surface piercing props (Fury, Tempest, Torrent, etc).

Completely wrong about prop falling off in reverse , all us racers never put the locking tab on because we change props from time to time. Tabs not needed at all if nylon locking nut is in good shape .

      Hi, Charles.
I don't believe this is the correct hub kit for your machine, unless you have a BigFoot model. If you would like to speak with one of our prop experts, the can help you find the correct hub kit for your Mariner.
Give us a call toll free at 1-866-535-1004 (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm MST). If you end up wanting to order the hub kit or other parts through us, we do ship Canada wide!
We look forward to chatting props with you!
