I think I saw it’s 25 bucks a month. That’s a little steep when there are other similar options. Clozemaster is 60 a year and from what I’ve seen it’s similar to glossika.
Real shame they have moved to online-only subscription model. After reviewing their product and comparing to your review, I have to say that I'd prefer to use what you are reviewing here.
What are good traits to look for in a language partner/tutor? In my experience tutors who have been translators are not optimal in the beginning because they are obsessed with perfection and hamper the flow. Thanks for this video I'm sure I'll use glossika for a more obscure language in the future.
What if you just want a single language (i.e., Mandarin) and it takes you longer than other people to go through the materials.. you're paying more. That's very high. Language Learning apps and resources are common and very competitive. You lose me with a subscription that expensive.
This is a great simplified explanation of how to use this excellent, albeit complicated language learning method! Didn't use to best capacity with first year Japanese. Now using it as you recommended for Fluency 1, 2, 3 Korean course! Too bad Glossika changed to subscription as i like owning the material in my Glossika library!
Hi ari, I have been studing Japanese for a little while now and what to know what you think the best way to learn/study it would be.You seem to know lots about learning them so if you could give me a few tips for learning (mainly how to learn words/vocabulary) would be amazing, because I really struggle to remember words and once I have remembered then I tend to not be able to move on to more for a long time. Thanks, love your content :)
I've been using Glossika for Russian , it's not my only learning resource and I understand the basics of Russian. I'm at 20,000 reps so far learning five new sentences per day , I can definitely see it's helping me with my listening and comprehension skills. I'm wondering how far a person could get in a language starting from scratch and using Glossika only ? Had anyone ever done this and got to a decent level ?
More questions if I log into my account, which I don't even remember if I have onr, can I automatically download updates? Also I've noticed that translations are just that translations and there are more native ways to say things than what they force you to memorize at least in the Korean version. How natural are the sentences in the Chinese version?
I just bought glossika for Swahili on th4 glossika website. But I don't see any pdf's or mass sentences. I just paid for the yearly subscription. It seems I o my have spaced repetition courses. Where is the mass sentences ?? Is this something different?
I'm a native Chinese speaker from southern China, it's much easier for me to speak Taiwanese Mandarin. In my high school, I think most girls like to talk with the Taiwanese Mandarin accent because it sounds cuter (kawayi), but the guys prefer to imitate the Beijing accent (though it's much harder) to avoid sounding too gay.
btw, this is the best review glossika I've seen. thanks a lot. Could you write me how did you use GMS on monday or whenever day, I mean how many sentences and so on
I was planning to do that when suddenly face your comment. I do think it works, I'll start the plan. Could you give some feedback about that ideia you had couple years ago?
@@maspolyendrio9026 i did it and worked fine to me but with a large speech not less than a minute long, start with 30 second and please get back and tell me how it went for u
Two weird things you said. 1. You said it’s not sponsored, then gave us an affiliate link. Wouldn’t that mean it’s sponsored? 2. You said you only need 20 min a day, but I only saw lesson plans in the video for 60 min a day.
Yes, you really need to put in the time, if you do, it's great. I'd say min. 1 hour/day, absolute minimum. But he did say, 20 mins. is to 'brush up' .. so that makes sense. And it's not sponsored - putting your own affiliate link does not = having a sponsor.
Glossika is a ripoff. When I signed up they offered off-line mp3 files and I used them everyday. And then *poof*. Gone. I asked about it and they said, "Sorry, we don't offer those anymore." $300 down the drain. I quit using the online content about 3 months later. And then I got an email "The credit card you have registered has expired. We could not bill you for $299." Without any warning or notice they had tried to charge my credit card for another annual subscription. How is this even legal?

It's got much easier to use since your review...I've just started using it for Spanish and it's the easiest and best language programme I've ever used
Any updates three months on?
Jonathan O loving it. Able to communicate in spanish for the first time - all thanks to Glossika.
@@NarlaScott any further updates, are you still using it and more fluent? Thanks
2023 update?
Do u still use glossika and recommend it?

You made the video!!! Thank you sooo much!
'don't worry it's not sponsored boys.. but here's my affiliate link ;))'
bruh
do you know what a sponsorship is

Update: It's now ~24$ - 30$ per month, and you get access to all languages and everything runs through the website. It's awesome!!!

what is the difference between manderin (beiijng) and manderin (taiwan)?
Thank you very much for making the video. It really does help.

maXonic have you tried Anki or Memrise yet?
I have just recently got them. They seem to be really good so far and help quite a bit. Would you suggest that I spend more time using them?
maXonic I personally use it everyday, it definitly solve that kind of problem. I learn Korean
maXonic yes, if you're looking to up your vocab, especially in the beginning, use them every day
Ok thanks I will start to use it everyday then. I usually use them a few times a week, so I will give it a go! :)

Can you try/review Clozemaster? Mass sentence approach too. It's free.
How do you incorporate Anki with Glossika?
It's pretty practical! Thank you, guy.

They no longer use this model, glossika removed the one time purchase form that used to exist
Wow, really. Feels like a ripoff. I was really looking for to getting orginal format.
@@jbarr5880 I agree. The older format was better
What if I don't own a computer?
Another question: Is Memrise a good app for learning languages?
code V A L E N you can put the audio files on your phone! And Memrise is an *excellent* app for learning languages!
I have found the Taiwanese Mandarin version much more catching to the ear. How did you find Taiwanese version versus the Beijing one.

I didn't understood
it is very hard 😥😫😫😫
Just download the app. Glossika Scheduler. Very simple
you inspired me to learn more =)
60-100$ for month? Or for a year?
The number he gave in the video was for the old one time purchase model
I think I can take a youtube video and write down all the sentences possible and worth with them along the audio as well.

Never knew there was a guide. Though it's possible it's not in my older version.
北 means north right?
right

Well for anyone who sees this nowdays, just now that they have made all of this way simpler lol.

your description is so confusing, sorry but this is not clear at all. LOL so badly explained
Can we have a Skype chat.
Jackson Ross . What do you want from him dude?
You keep saying *uh* which makes this video almost impossible to listen to. Other than that you have a good video.
Uh, he's giving you free advice and tips, he went to the trouble to make the video. Let's see you do better.
Rude female
Video is impossible to watch with uh, uh.
I agree so much, I lose track of everything he is saying
umm,, ahh, um,,
You don’t type well
he is so annoying to hear!
