Great video and thanks for making it! As someone who watches a LOT of RUclips (but doesn't send money to content creators or pay RUclips) I personally think it's OK when content creators take money or do commercials within their videos. I understand that you need to make money to support your channel and to continue to make videos. As long as you believe in the products and they are relevant to your content I don't mind watching you talk about it.
I have seen RUclipsrs that seamlessly blend sponsor's content with theirs. They announce that a company is a sponsor and then use the product in their daily life on camera. Adventure Strikes is a good example. Homesteaders with 250k subs, just use their sponsor's product in the video. I like this approach. Smooth.
Did you mean "Ambition Strikes" ? They are one of my favorites - really look forward to their latest videos. Like you said, they are good at using sponsred products and seamlessly blending them into their videos.
Hey Mark, we are going to take the same approach as anyways we do not have space in the car for extras. So we can only partner with equipments useful in our daily life on the road.
@@samjubilee6593 Yes I did mean Ambition Strikes. The new android 12 spell check uses AI to make sure the user always looks illiterate by switching words it doesn't understand with its next closest match. The worst part is you could scan your reply, and everything will look okay, you press post, and it changes a few words on you so you look a fool. It's a feature!
@@NextMeridianExpedition you did well with the BF Goodrich tire change. I didn't even notice it was a sponsored spot. I always use BF Goodrich tires on my truck, on my car I'm less particular, but the truck pulls my 32' 5th wheel trailer and heavy loads, I need tires I can count on. For the last 40 years that's been BF Goodrich. I like your approach to sponsorship. I would never mention this on any other loggers site, but you two are so nice and you did mention you like Ambition Strikes. Wasn't the last video cool? The look on Courtney's face was classic. She just didn't believe that was her machine. Take care, have fun!
I appreciate your low-key approach to promoting your partners. I pay for the "ad-free" You Tube and it's very annoying to still get ads for whomever is sponsoring that week's video on other channels.
Thank you for taking the time to show us how the partnerships work for you. I am just getting started on YT and hope to eventually get enough followers to monetize. I’m trying to learn more of how it all works. Thanks!
Cool and interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I am a big fan of the channel and Canon camera gear. I love my new Canon R5. So, Canon, do a partnership with these good folks and ship them a 5-gallon bucket of gear and cash. I am sure it would pay off in a big way and you would both benefit well.
Well explained. Have you looked at Justin Moore's content on this subject?👍He explains how to make that transition without coming across pushy or salesy. What a wonderful journey. Stay safe and enjoy. 🌎
Not asking for cash is fine. Getting products, like tires, is literally saving you thousands over the long haul. So it's money you don't have to generate and that is even better than the cash!
Nick, the problem with RUclipsrs is as they get bigger, they will promote and endorse anything including scams and spurious products like online mental health or overpriced health food. I think it’s perfectly fine and reasonable to work with products and partners you personally trust and use and can vouch for but when people get bigger, they also get greedy. I watch small channels like you because you guy keep it honest. Even bigger channels, some like Itchy Boots who endorses the motorcycle gear she wears and a brand ambassador, has been transparent. She has the numbers to endorse junk and make money but she doesn’t, even hotels or other tourism places. But most people on RUclips don’t have any honesty and once they get big, they will promote anything as long as they get paid. Or even whitewash dictatorships in the Middle East if the price is right. It’s a cash grab for them. But I don’t have an issue with overlanders or ADV bikers promoting or endorsing products they personally use and trust and genuinely believe in. If BFG wanted to sponsor you new tires and you work with them, that’s a perfectly reasonable partnership. But iff FD you start selling dodgy mental health services or crypto scams because they pay you, you have crossed the line and your viewers at that point are just cash machines .
I suspect the RUclips algorithm suggested your channel because of Noraly's. 🙂 And I agree, both channels have a similar approach to sponsorship. My personal take on this is that I would actually avoid buying any product RUclips channels promote when they don't genuinely use the product themselves - it's easy to see if they are following a script or speaking honestly.
@@TheEstampe I don’t have an issue with RUclipsrs like overlanders or ADV people like Noraly partnering with companies they genuinely use. We don’t really have the space in our car for extras and we enjoy having less stuff. So in our case we cannot even take on partnerships that we don’t directly use on the trip. That s why we did a list of things we needed at first and then identified the best brands for our needs.
You guys are a breath of fresh air 😊 Thank you for being honest and for focusing on the journey and not the money. Safe travels ❤

Great point! and we tend to agree. In our case we cannot really carry anything useless because we lack the space so it makes all the more sense.
Thank you for being transparent and honest about sponsorships and partnerships. This is a topic RUclipsrs usually avoid talking about.
Thank you. Even for us it s hard to navigate as we grow cause as you say there s little info.
Partnerships start so it means you are belong to famous vlogger like a celebrity😃. Good to see that trusted companies offers sponsorship with you.
First, love you two, and your videos.....
Thank you Mark!
Really appreciate the clarity & honesty about this topic! Also super helpful, so thanks for that 😃
Glad it was helpful! thank you for watching
You're a great dude Nick. great explanation and sincerity on not asking for money. pretty solid. safe travels.

Very well said and humble congratulations for all your work keep enjoying the trip 👏👏👏🙌👍

Hahaha we wished!!!! That would be awesome but we might be too small… one day maybe we can offer it.
Great information. I found it very interesting and answered questions I've pondered.

who is AG1 ?
@@tomjet1000 Its the Athletic Greens nutrition drink -- a lot of RUclipsrs are sponsored by them. 😁

Yes totally, also when we left no one would have had given us cash. So it was better to start asking for equipment
Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
I am intrigued by the way Instagram has emerged as a default requirement for influencers or people who seek partnerships.
It feels very generational... Next seems to be tik Tok although things could change...
Love is good and fine, but it doesn't put food on the table and diesel in the tank.
It's interesting that you don't take payment, just goods or services.
