      it's hilarious how they can simultaneously and knowingly be a superpower and at the same time pretend american decisions are only american in nature. if there was an american decision to go to full-scale war with another nation then that's a mobilisation of a force with a budget bigger than the next 10 biggest military's combined. if their economy tanks by a few percent that sends shockwaves around the world because that's how interconnected the world is

    • @gabrielb.3647
      @gabrielb.3647 4 года назад +1

      Not being sassy I'm just curious, as a Warren supporter first and foremost would you vote for Bernie if she drops out or if you see no way for her to win? I'm wondering how many Warren supporters would actually go out to vote for Bernie in that case, cause the dynamic and rhetoric between them and their supporters has really been negative lately and I fear it's going to turn off some of her base (even tho I've read half of her supporters have more moderate candidates as their second choice, like Buttigieg or Klobuchar)

    • @gabrielb.3647
      @gabrielb.3647 4 года назад +1

      Also what do you think is her long game, what is she angling for? She says she could be the unity candidate in a possible brokered convention, but I don't see establishment superdelegates picking her if she's not like second in terms of pledged delegates... I also thought she was hoping for a VP role but she's been making her case against all the candidates including Bernie recently... So I don't understand what she wants

    • @Miikhiel
      @Miikhiel 4 года назад +2

      Gabriel Blais If you’re genuinely curious: If she does not win, I do have other selections in mind- no different than if I didn’t get my first pick in a university or college. Despite the debates and how... petty they can become, I think, as far as their views or principles, they align: they see a systemic issue originating from how our government is being handled- namely by unfit/corrupt politicians- and also wish to realign our country’s values based on principles that would empower the people. They both are interested in serving the people and preventing them from feeling disenfranchised by elitism, corporations, and being “conventional.” Both of them essentially flip a bird to conventional approaches (but neither are so unreasonable either to not be pragmatic about their stances on things).
      If you look at their history with how they’ve voted or what they support you see they’re not nearly as hawkish and belligerent to working alongside others- a fear that many Democrats have.

    • @gabrielb.3647
      @gabrielb.3647 4 года назад +1

      @@Miikhiel Thanks for your reply, I was genuinely curious and now I totally agree with you. People are scared both of them don't know how to compromise but pretty much everytime there has been an important vote where the dems needed Bernie or Warren's vote, even though it didn't align with their profound convictions, they voted for incremental progress cause some small change is still better than none. I would love to see both of them in the same administration; Idk how picking her for VP would fare with some Bernie supporters who seem to have cancelled her, but I think she would make a fantastic Treasury Secretary, and if she ever was first in the polls or delegates and Bernie wasn't as high I would vote for her (if I was an American, I'm from Canada)

    • @Miikhiel
      @Miikhiel 4 года назад +2

      Gabriel Blais I think part of the problem with our politics is we have a mentality of “winner takes all.” If I’m being perfectly honest, my confidence or vote for these candidates has /nothing/ to do with them personally. It has everything to do with them being appropriate to do the job to serve /us/ as a country. We are /their/ constituents and /they/ serve us.
      That is the job of the President of the United States of America.

But because of their private feud, neither one would be on the other's ticket if nominated. That ship has sailed; the bridge has been burnt.
      Now our only hope is in Bernie. Warren is most useful to the Left Wing in the Senate, hopefully someday as Senate majority leader. If she does decide to run again for POTUS, it will need to be AFTER eight years of Bernie and a revamped new, New Deal era.

As far as endorsements look she's been a a much stronger defender of Klobuchar than her ideological compatriot and longstanding "friend" Sanders. At least recently. I mean she's lied about his position on superdelegates most recently and even before that lied about him having support from SuperPacs something SHE in fact has broken her promise on when he hasn't. But my point was before where I was confident she would stand by the progressive movement and side with Sanders I'm 100% convinced she has been politically calculating as opposed to resolute and consistent. Chloe W on the surface, they both have similar solutions but they're both coming at the problem from different angles and both have different political philosophies. Warren believes you can work within the system to remove the money and corruption that are gunking up the gears in congress. That's why she talks about structural change.
      Bernie, on the other hand, believes the problem is a politically disconnected population and a completely broken system. He's a political outsider running a populist movement - much like Trump did. That's why I think Bernie will win over Liz. But I also think they're both right in their own ways and agree more with Liz's views of corruption and broken processes in DC stopping any legislative process.

      About Bernie not getting things done, he is literally the amendment king. Bernie got amazon workers a raise to a $15 min wage, Got 9 million people health insurance. She is a progressive no matter what people say, but if she wants a guaranteed progressive nomination, she needs to drop out before Super Tuesday. Reason being she’s the only other person that’s even close to viable in CA and if she makes viability, she takes a huge chunk of Bernie’s delegates. If Bernie gets every delegate in CA I think the race is over.
