    Hello! 🦥
We are Alessio and Noemi, an Italian couple who go the extra mile to help people who, like us, have some difficulty falling asleep, concentrating, or simply relaxing 🙂
We stumbled upon the world of white noise in 2016 during our university studies and used to study with the sound of a hairdryer in our headphones 🎧
White noises, in fact, including the sound of a hairdryer but not only, repeat regularly and without interruptions, managing to cancel out surrounding noises and produce a relaxing effect on the mind and body. White noises are used to reduce stress, enhance concentration, promote sleep, and even alleviate tinnitus 😀
But why keep the magical recipe just to ourselves to truly make the most of moments of relaxation and harness this well-being in studying, working, and private life as well? ✨
    Welcome to #OnlyASMR 😴

Why I love hairdryers so much is because of my childhood. I remember my mum helping me wash my hair cause it was so long and then to dry it she would sit me on the bed, I would lay down, and she would dry my hair while I would sleep, sometimes it would go in my ears and I'd love that tingling sensation, it would take an hour to do since my hair was so long and I loved every part of it, that's why it soothes me till this day ❤ so thank you ❤

I like this sound now in my 40s but loved it as a young boy . It was more powerful then. It used to light up my nervous system in a rather glorious way. I knew it was a little odd cos noone in my family or friends ever told me about it. I told them eventually. I liked hair dryer the best but also liked the dishwasher and washing machine and running bath water.
I wander if I over did listening to it in my 20s ; the effects have lessened but it's still nice. It wasn't until the Internet that I decided it must be a thing and found other people who liked it just the same.
Ive heard babies like the sound. My theory is its similar to the noise we heard in the womb , and we must have felt very content and warm and protected in there.

Im that type of person since i was a kid I really liked this sound, so anytime someone was using a hairdryer i was sleeping on the floor near to the person Loll i instantly grab my pillow and run fast as fuck to achieve in time to ear HAHAHAHA soooo now that I'm an adult, i discover i still ENJOY very much this sound ..so...i thought: weird af 😂😂😂 suddenly i researched why people like this sound and the reason was that 😅

When i was a child back in the 70s, in the uk, i lived in a tiny victorian flat above a shop, we didnt have heating apart from a gas fire in the living room, every sunday night was my bath and hair wash night and when i got out the bath my mother would quickly wrap me in a towel before i got cold and carry me to her bedroom. I'd sit on her bed where a plate of warm jam tarts were waiting for me, thats she made whilst i was in the bath and then she'd start to blow dry my long, pure white hair and the sound would send me into a deep meditative state where i would feel safe, and warm, and protected and the feeling of the brush gliding through my hair in regular strokes was soothing, and when the hair dryer would pass over my ear id get tingles and goose bumps all over my body, the sound got louder and shut every other sound in the world out and I'd close my eyes and be transported far away to some fantasy world in my head.
Then, when she was done, I'd ask her to carry on "but your hair is dry" she'd say, " please, just a bit longer" and she'd carry on a bit more and then she'd say " all done, go and show daddy" and I'd go into the living room and say " look at my hair daddy!" And he'd say "oh lovely, such beautiful hair!" And I'd laugh and sit in front of the old gas fire still with the towel wrapped around me, soft pajamas on and some more jam tarts.

What a beautiful memory! It's incredible how such a simple routine can create such a profound sense of comfort and nostalgia. The warm jam tarts, the soft pajamas, and the soothing sound of the hairdryer - all combined to create a perfect cocoon of warmth and love. It’s no wonder that the hairdryer sound still brings you such peace and relaxation. Thank you for sharing this heartwarming story. 🥰

It's possible that the comfort and soothing sensation of hair dryer sounds evoke positive childhood memories for many people. However, the reasons why individuals find certain sounds or sensations relaxing can vary greatly from person to person. It could be linked to childhood experiences, but it's not necessarily the case for everyone. It's important to explore and understand what brings you comfort and relaxation personally. Regardless of the reason, finding ways to relax and unwind is always beneficial. Sending warm regards back to you from Poland! 🇵🇱❤️

in k5 whenever my mom was going to work, the minute i heard the hairdryer i would get behind the bathroom door ( she'd leave it open when she was blowdrying her hair as a symbol to get your things ready for me and my brothers school or grandmother cause we we're leaving as soon as she was done and had brushed her teeth. ) at first i got behind the door just to try to scare her ( it didn't work cause of the mirror ) but then i started to find the noise relaxing. she had to get rid of her old hairdryer which had a hairdryer noise like no other ( i loved it ) then she bought a new one. in 2nd grade it was just a thing for me to either be behind the bathroom door, outside in the hallway with a blanket against the door listening, or in my room with the lights off just listening in bed. when i was younger when my dad would blowdry my hair i would play with toothbrushes and just listen to the noise. such comforting memories.
