I love this car. In San Francisco, CA an Uber driver picked us up (3 tall guys) in a Hyundai Accent Limited. That little car was comfortable and quickly went in and out of traffic, went up and down the hills with no problem. It's a great city car! I can't wait to get one.
The 1.6L turbodiesel is a hot ticket if you are where you can get one. 260 newton meters, more than twice the torque of a toyota vios in the same market. Almost the same torque as our hyundai 3 ton truck.
This thing is VERY good at being your average city/daily commuter car. Still does really good on the highway too. Hyundai nailed it with the Accent, though it could use an update soon.
I am honesrly starting to like Hyundai and Kia more than Honda and Toyota. The Palisade and Telluride look more like competitors for the RX and MDX instead of the Highlander and Pilot.
@@JDMSwervo2001 I'd disagree mostly with the Volvo. So long as you put regular maintenance on it like any other car, it won't break. They also get excellent fuel economy, and safety. Mercedes and BMW will break once your warranty's up. The Volvo won't.
The Palisade disappointed me. It had ONE USB port throughout the ENTIRE CAR! I found the seats to be a bit more hard than the Highlanders, so overall I'm disappointed with it. The Telluride was better, I liked the rear sunshades, but Toyota has them too, and the Pilot as well I believe. The Telluride does have cool tech features though. I think the Pilot definitely still felt bigger, and the Toyota more comfortable. But the Telluride definitely had the best tech, and the Palisade... generally poopy.
A VERY reliable commuter, this car just basically drives for oil changes repairs almost never needed I had one for 10 years and put over 35,000km each year on it!!
Sure it's fun to drive a fast car fast, but it's also very fun to drive a slow car (kinda) fast. Cheap, lightweight, fine-driving reliable cars have a place in this world.
There is no market space for it really at least in the US, this market niche was tiny already especially with Toyota, Ford, Honda taking their share although Hyundai was doing well with a fleet buyers but nowadays subcompact Crossovers/Cuvs /... cost about the same thus will dominate low end market, instead of bringing Accent Rio they should war price Soul and that new Cuv Hyundai
There's no way hyundai make a cvt!!! Did they have an agreement with Nissan or what?!! DCT is an awesome transmission which mostly can be found on a Fast Expensive Car.
Is it me or does it have a CVT that doesn't feel like a CVT? I mean one that doesn't keep constant revs, but instead feeling like it has a limited amount of "gears"?
Doesn't liked to be pushed but I think it is a great seniors ride that gives pleasant ride and great mileage so I ordered one. I know a refresh is coming but I like the brightwork and conservative overall look. Always enjoy your test drives to really be able to listen to the car.
I got my Accent a month ago and so far it has been fantastic. I've owned some luxury brands and I don't miss them and there outrageous maintenance costs. I guess you figure life out as you get older and I realized this is all the car I need because it's a mechanical device to transport me and friends from place to place. The Accent does that very efficiently with more comfort and lower NVH than you would expect. Thanks for helping me decide on it with your video. Sadly I heard 2022 will be it's last model year in North America. My dealer sells everyone they can get before arrival so why drop it?
I just got a 2022 Nissan Sentra and I’m thinking about switching to a Hyundai Accent Limited since it’s roughly the same amount of money but I get a few more things I want and it’s a bit smaller for me since I’m only 4’8 and to drive my Sentra I sit on 2 cushions. Any thoughts?
