அப்போஸ்தலராகிய யோவான், இந்த பிரமிக்கத்தக்க வெளிப்பாடை பெரும்போது, அவருக்கு வயது தொண்ணூறு. இதில் காணப்படுகிறவைகளையும், காணப்படாதவைகளையும், மனித மொழியின் வாயிலாக விரித்துரைக்க முயற்சித்திருகிறோம்.
இதன் மூலம் தேவன் நம் வாழ்வின் அனைத்துப் பரிமாணங்களுக்கும் மேலாக செயல்படுபவர் என்பதை எளிதில் புரிந்துக்கொள்ளலாம். பல நூற்றாண்டுக்காலமாக பிரபஞ்சத்தில் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்த யுத்தம், ஒரு முடிவுக்கு வந்தது. நீதியும் தர்மமும் வென்றன. தீமையும், வக்கிரமும், அநியாயமும், நிரந்தரமாக வீழ்த்தப்பட்டு நம் எல்லையைவிட்டு நீக்கப்பட்டன.
சிலர் இதை வெளிப்பாடுகள் என்று (பன்மையில்) அழைக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், இந்த புத்தகம் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து என்ற ஒரு நபரை குறித்த வெளிப்பாடு என்று வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 1ஆம் அதிகாரம் 1ஆம் வசனத்தில் அறிகிறோம்.
"... தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு ஒப்புவித்ததும், இவர் தம்முடைய தூதனை அனுப்பி, தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய யோவானுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினதுமான விசேஷம்."
ஆம், இவைகள் அனைத்தும் எதிர்காலத்தைகுறித்தும், தற்போதைய காலகட்டத்தில் பெரும்பாலும் கடைசி ஏழு வருடங்களில் சம்பவிக்கப்விருப்பதை குறித்தது. முதன்மையாக ஒரு மனிதனைப்பற்றியது. மனுஷக்குமாரனும், தேவக்குமாரனுமானவர் இந்த பூமிக்கு புதிய ஆட்சியை அமைத்து தேசங்களை ஆளும்படியாய், நீதியுள்ள ராஜாவாக வருவார். நாம் நமது இறுதி குடியிருப்பையும், நிலையான வீட்டையும், புதிய வானங்களையும், புதிய பூமியையும், புதிய எருசலேமையும் காண்போம்.
ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் நான் இதை வாசிக்கும்பொழுதும், எதிர்காலத்தை குறித்து யோசிக்கும்பொழுதும், இந்த புத்தகம் எனக்கு சிறந்த விருந்தாகவும், என் விசுவாசத்தை கட்டி எழுப்புகிறதாகவும் ஆயிற்று.
இது முற்றிலும் புதிர்களால் நிறைந்துள்ளது, அவைகளின் வழியாய் கடக்கும்போது விடை கிடைத்துவிடும்.
